Optical thickness method using double interferometer showed dynamic variations of both mechanical and optical thicknesses. Packing density measured a thickness ratio of before and after pressed single film. Lower swelled thickness of emitting layer in a device and densely packed film had shown better lifetime.

AlGaAs/InGaAs power P-HEMTS (Pseudo-morphic High Electron Mobility Transistors) with 1.0-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ gate length for PCS applications have been fabricated. We adopted single heterojunction P-HEMT structure with two Si-delta doped layer to obtain higher current density. It exhibits a maximum current density of 512㎃/mm, an extrinsic transconductance of 259mS/mm, and a gate to drain breakdown voltage of 12.0V, respectively. The device exhibits a power density of 657㎽/mm, a maximum power added efficiency of 42.1%, a linear power gain of 9.85㏈ respectively at a drain bias of 6.0V, gate bias of 0.6V and an operation frequency of 1.765㎓.

In this study, we developed a comprehensive correlation for better prediction of the activated sludge concentration in the relationship between measurement of optical density by the Beer's law and sludge properties. Effects of activated sludge properties, which are sludge types and anaerobic storage time, show that absorbance deviation for sludge properties decreased on wavelength of light source near to 950 nm. We also developed a method to measure limitation with non-linear correlation on the measurement of high concentration by the Beer's law using a double layer probe cell and empirical equations.

The basic systems of spatial structures such as shells, membranes, cable-nets and tensegrity structures have been developed to create the large spaces without column. But there are some difficulties concerning structural stability, surface formation and construction method. Tensegrity systems are flexible structures which are reticulated spatial structures composed of compressive members and cables. The rigidification of tensegrity systems is related to selfstress states which can be achieved only when geometrical and mechanical requirements are simultaneously satisfied. In this paper, the force density method allowing form-finding for tensegrity systems is presented. And various modules of unit-structures are investigated and discussed using the force density method. Also, a model of double-layered single curvature arch with quadruplex using supplementary cable is presented.

Helicon sources are attractive for plasma processing because they provide high plasma density in low magnetic fields. Helicon waves were excited by a Nagoya type III antenna in a magnetized plasma column. Plasma parameters were measured with a double probe, and the structure and adsorption of the helicon wave fields were determined with the probes. Argon is fed through a MFC (mass flow controller) for operation pressure of 10~110 mtorr. A 13.56 MHz r.f. power of 50~450 W is induced through the antenna. The plasma density and electron temperature are measured as functions of external magnetic field, r.f. power and pressure. The plasma density as functions of r.f. power and magnetic field at a constant pressure increased linearly, and the electron temperature did not change largely with various operation parameters and the value was around 5~7 eV.

In order to increase the specific capacitance and energy density of supercapacitors, non-aqueous supercapacitors were prepared using lithium transition-metal oxides and activated carbons as active materials. The electrochemical properties were analyzed in terms of the content of lithium transition-metal oxides. The results of cyclic voltammetry and AC-impedance analyses showed that the pseudocapacitance may stem from the synergistic contributions of capacitive and faradic effects; the former is due to the electric double layer which is prepared in the interface of activated carbon and organic electrolyte, and the latter is due to the intercalation of lithium ($Li^+$) ions. The specific capacitance and energy density of a supercapacitor improved as the lithium transition-metal oxides content increased, showing 60% increase compared to those of supercapacitor using a pure activated carbon positive electrode.

This paper presents a characteristic analysis method for an air gap flux density of axial-flux type brushless dc (BLDC) motor. The magnetic flux density for the torque, and vertical force characteristics is calculated by using analytical method, based on the concept of magnetic charge. The calculated results by the presented method is compared with those by 3 dimensional finite element method (3D FEM). Using the presented method, the characteristics of single and double sided axial-flux type BLDC motors are investigated through distributions of air gap flux density.

In this paper, influence factors on dynamic properties of floor impact noise insulation materials are suggested. For this purpose measurements on the dynamic stiffness and the loss factor of resilient materials are carried out by Korea standard (KS F 2868) according to the change of density, thickness, design pattern, and composition of materials. As a result the values of dynamic stiffness was decreased at high density and thick thickness, and that of loss factor was increased at low density. For dynamic properties, the pattern of lattice and waffle type material is better than that of plat type, and the mixed composition of materials is better than the composition of double layer materials at same thickness.

The development of radioimmunoassay (RIA) for high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in Japanese quail serum will contribute to the screening of drugs acting on cholesterol transport. We have developed a double antibody RIA method for J. quail HDL. The first antibody was raised in rabbit by immunization of HDL isolated by the dextrane sulfate-$Mn^{#}$ precipitation method. For the preparation of raclioiodinated antigen, HDL was further purified by combination of electrophoretic procedure. Using the second antibody raised in goat by rabbit IgG, we have furnished the RIA method for HDL. It showed high specificity and sensitivity of working assay range, 0.1-33.mu.g HDL/tube. There was no correlation between the radioimmunoassay of HDL and the enzyme assay of HDL-cholesterol.

This paper proposes the improvement of the etch rate of GaN using a magnetized inductively coupled $CH_4/H_2/Ar$plasma. The gradient magnetic field with the axial direction is investigated using Gauss-meter and the ion current density is measured using double Langmuir probe. The applied magnetic field changes the ion current density profile in the radial direction, resulting in producing the higher density in the outer region than in the center. GaN dry etching process is carried out based on the measurements of the ion current density. The each rate of 2000 /min is achieved with $CH_4/H_2/Ar$ chemistries at 800 W input power, 250W rf bias power, 10 mTorr pressure and 100 gauss magnetic field.
