This paper introduces the double-density discrete wavelet transform(DWT) using quincunx sampling, which is a DWT that combines the double-density DWT and quincunx sampling method, each of which has its own characteristics and advantages. The double-density DWT is an improvement upon the critically sampled DWT with important additional properties: Firstly, It employs one scaling function and two distinct wavelets, which are designed to be offset from one another by one half. Secondly, the double-density DWT is overcomplete by a factor of two, and Finally, it is nearly shift-invariant. In two dimensions, this transform outperforms the standard DWT in terms of denoising; however, there is room for improvement because not all of the wavelets are directional. That is, although the double-density DWT utilizes more wavelets, some lack a dominant spatial orientation, which prevents them from being able to isolate those directions. A solution to this problem is a quincunx sampling method. The quincunx lattice is a sampling method in image processing. It treats the different directions more homogeneously than the separable two dimensional schemes. Proposed wavelet transformation can generate sub-images of multiple degrees rotated versions. Therefore, This method services good performance in image processing fields.
This paper introduces the double-density discrete wavelet transform using 3 direction separable processing method, which is a discrete wavelet transform that combines the double-density discrete wavelet transform and quincunx sampling method, each of which has its own characteristics and advantages. The double-density discrete wavelet transform is nearly shift-invariant. But there is room for improvement because not all of the wavelets are directional. That is, although the double-density DWT utilizes more wavelets, some lack a dominant spatial orientation, which prevents them from being able to isolate those directions. The dual-tree discrete wavelet transform has a more computationally efficient approach to shift invariance. Also, the dual-tree discrete wavelet transform gives much better directional selectivity when filtering multidimensional signals. But this transformation has more cost complexity Because it needs eight digital filters. Therefor, we need to hybrid transform which has the more directional selection and the lower cost complexity. A solution to this problem is a the double-density discrete wavelet transform using 3 direction separable processing method. The proposed wavelet transformation services good performance in image and video processing fields.
LCR meter를 이용하여 high frequency C-V를 측정한 후 North Carolina State University California Virtual Campus (NCSU CVC) 프로그램을 이용하여 Flatband Voltage를 구한 후에 Conductance Method를 측정하여 Dit를 측정하였다.
Electric double-layer capacitors based on charge storage at the interface between a high surface area activated carbon electrode and an electrolyte solution are characterized by their long cycle-life and high power density in comparison with batteries. However, energy density of electric double-layer capacitors obtained at present is about 6 Wh/kg at a power density of 500W/kg which is smaller as compared with that of batteries and limits the wide spread use of the capacitors. Therefore, a new capacitor that shows larger energy density than that of electric double-layer capacitors is proposed. The new capacitor is the hybrid capacitor consisting of activated carbon cathode, carbonaceous anode and an organic electrolyte. Maximum voltage applicable to the cell is over 4.2V that is larger than that of the electric double-layer capacitor. As a result, discharged energy density on the basis of stacked volume of electrode, current collector and separator is more than 18Wh/l at a power density of 500W/l.
The effect of the liquid density difference on interface shape of a double-liquid lens is analyzed in detail. The expressions of interface shape of two liquids with liquid density difference are analyzed and fitted with “even asphere”. The imaging analysis of the aspheric interface shape of a double-liquid lens is presented. The results show that the density difference of two liquids can cause the interface to be an aspheric surface, which can improve the image quality of a double-liquid lens. The result provides a new selection for the related further research and a wider application field for liquid lenses.
Double-layer capacitors (DLCs) are developed with high surface electrodes to achieve a high capacitance value. In the present work, the initial bulk concentration of 1 mol/m3 and 3 mol /m3 are selected to show the consequential effects on the performance of a double-layer capacitor. A 1D model of COMSOL Multiphysics has been developed to analyze the electric field and potential in cell voltage, the electric displacement field and polarization induced by the field, and energy density in a double-layer structure. The electrostatics and the electric circuit modes in COMSOL are used to simulate the electrochemical processes in the double-layer structure. The analytical analysis of a double-layer capacitor with different initial bulk concentrations is investigated by using Poisson-Nernst-Plank equations. From the simulation results, the differential capacitance changes as a function of compact layer thickness and initial bulk concentration. The energy density varies with the differential capacitance and voltage window. The values of energy density are dominated by the interaction of ions in the solution and electrode surface.
In this paper, the Numerov method is applied to solve the Schroedinger equation for $Al_{0.3}Ga_{0.7}AS/GaAs/Al_{0.3}Ga_{0.7}As$ double-heterojunction HEMT structures. The 3 subband energy levels, corresponding wave functions, 2-dimensional electron gas density, and conduction band edge profile are calculated from a self-consistent iterative solution of the Schroedinger equation and the Poisson equation. In addition, 2-dimensional electron gas densities in a quantum well of double heterostructure are calculated as a function of applied gate voltage. The density in the double heterojunction quantum well is increased to about more than 90%, however, the transconductance of the double heterostructure HEMT is not improved compared to that of the single heterostructure HEMT. Thus, double-heterojunction structures are expected to be suitable to increase the current capability in a HEMT device or a power HEMT structure.

Recently Hazelton and Turlach (2009) proposed a weighted kernel density estimator for the deconvolution problem. In the case of Gaussian kernels and measurement error, they argued that the weighted kernel density estimator is a competitive estimator over the classical deconvolution kernel estimator. In this paper we consider weighted kernel density estimators when sample observations are contaminated by double exponentially distributed errors. The performance of the weighted kernel density estimators is compared over the classical deconvolution kernel estimator and the kernel density estimator based on the support vector regression method by means of a simulation study. The weighted density estimator with the Gaussian kernel shows numerical instability in practical implementation of optimization function. However the weighted density estimates with the double exponential kernel has very similar patterns to the classical kernel density estimates in the simulations, but the shape is less satisfactory than the classical kernel density estimator with the Gaussian kernel.
