  • The South Korean automotive industry has been the major producer for both domestic and international market. This rises of the South Korean automotive industry has resulted in combination various factors ranging from government policies and the foreign investment. The Double Helix model provides a comprehensive and useful framework to understand how these factors have interacted to shape the history of the auto industry of South Korea. This research aims to provide the history of the Auto Industry in Korea based on the Double Helix Model. To collect textual literature dataset, the present author tried to screen and select adequate prior studies in the past and current literature to achieve the purpose of the study. According to the literature analysis, the history of the automotive industry in South Korea is an interesting case in the successful implementation of the Double Helix model. The model emphasizes the collaboration between the government and the private sector in achieving common goals. This research founded the four historical events of the development of the South Korean automotive industry based on the Double Helix Models. In sum, the research concludes that the Double Helix Model is an essential tool for understanding the historical development of the auto industry in South Korea.

  • In this paper, we present the four genetic nitrogenous bases of C, U(T), A, G to matrices and describe the structures from $4{\times}4$ RNA(ribose nucleic acid) to $8{\times}8$ DNA((deoxyribose nucleic acid) matrices. we analysis a deoxyribose nucleic acid (DNA) double helix based on the block circulant Hadamard-Jacket matrix (BCHJM). The orthogonal BCHJM is anti-symmetric pair complementary of the core DNA. The block circulant ribonucleic acid (RNA) repair damage reliability is better than the conventional double helix. In case of k=4 and N=1, the reliability of block circulant complementarity is 93.75%, and in case of k=4 and N=4, it is 98.44%. Therefore it improves 4.69% than conventional case of double helix.

  • Living organisms are composed of cells that can replicate themselves through growth, division packed with tons capacity. On DNA mutations, ie mutations in the offspring's survival and reproduction can be held against you, and packed with tons ambivalence that could benefit. In this study, the DNA double helix is used as a template for replication, we first separated into single strands of the double helix must be opened Combining the double helix portion of the location of errors in the bond provides a way to find and repair.

  • Purpose: Pepper prices have risen continuously because of a decrease in cultivation area; therefore, mechanical harvesting systems for peppers should be developed to reduce cost, time, and labor during harvest. In this study, a screw type picking head for a self-propelled pepper harvester was developed, and the optimal working conditions were evaluated considering helix types, winding directions of helix, and rotational speeds of the helix. Methods: The screw type was selected for the picking head after analyzing previous studies, and the device consisted of helices and a feed chain mechanism for conveying pepper branches. A double helix and a triple helix were manufactured, and rotational speeds of 200, 300, and 400 rpm were tested. The device was controlled by a variable speed (VS) motor and an inverter. Both the forward and reverse directions were tested for the winding and rotating directions of the helix. An experiment crop (cultivar: Longgreenmat) was cultivated in a plastic greenhouse. The test results were analyzed using the SAS program with ANOVA to examine the relationship between each factor and the performance of the picking head. Results: The results of the double and triple helix tests in the reverse direction showed gross harvest efficiency levels of 60-95%, mechanical damage rates of 8-20%, and net marketable portion rates of 50-80%. The dividing ratio was highest at a rotational speed of 400 rpm. Gross harvest efficiency was influenced by the types of helix and rotational speed. Net marketable portion was influenced by rotational speed but not influenced by the type of helix. Mechanical damage was not influenced by the type of helix or rotational speed. Conclusions: Best gross harvest efficiency was obtained at a rotational speed of 400 rpm; however, operating the device at that speed resulted in vibration, which should be reduced.

  • This study is an analysis of the process of the discovery of the DNA double helix structure from an engineering literacy education perspective. The explanation of the DNA double helix structure by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1952 is a well-known scientific episode. The process is also a combination of various incidents that can frequently happen in competitive engineering research and development situations. Therefore, the process of the discovery of the DNA structure is a remarkable event that can cover all subjects, such as engineering and ethics, research ethics, communication between researchers, engineering and leadership, engineering and teamwork, and engineering and women. This paper focuses on analyzing the research ethics issues associated with Rosalind Franklin and comparing and analyzing the three teams that were very close to the discovery of the DNA structure. By looking at why the Watson and Crick team got the final answer instead of the Linus Pauling's team or the Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin's team, the virtues of the technology development process that should be taught in engineering literacy education will be naturally presented.

  • The all-hydrocarbon i,i+4 stapling system using an oct-4-enyl crosslink is one of the most widely employed chemical tools to stabilize an ${\alpha}$-helical conformation of a short peptide. This crosslinking system has greatly extended our ability to modulate intracellular protein-macromolecule interactions. The helix-inducing property of the i,i+4 staple has shown to be highly dependent on the length and the stereochemistry of the oct-4-enyl crosslink. Here we show that changing the double bond position within the i,i+4 staple has a considerable impact not only on the formation of the crosslink but also on ${\alpha}$-helix induction. The data further increases the understanding of the structure-activity relationships of this valuable chemical tool.

  • Ultrasonic absorption and velocity spectra in bovine serum albumin (BSA) aqueous solutions have been measured at $20^{\circ}C$ over the frequency range 0.2-3 MHz in the pH range 1.5-13.2. The high-Q ultrasonic resonator and pulse-echo overlap methods were used. At acid pH's, excess absorption over that of pH 7 was explained by double relaxation. The pH dependences of the relaxation frequency and maximum absorption per wavelength, showed that the relaxation at about 200 kHz was related to the expansion of molecules and that about 3 MHz resulted from the proton transfer reaction of carboxyl group. At alkaline pH's, the excess absorption was explained by double relaxation. The relaxation at about 300 kHz was associated with a helix-coil transition, and that about 3 MHz was attributed to the proton transfer reaction of phenolic group. The rate constants and volume changes associated with these processes were estimated.

  • In this paper, we analyze the [UC;AG] code which is genetic information standard DNA code, with 64 trigram. DNA which contains human genetic information, is a shape of adding three billion pairs of four bases which are A(adenine), C(cytosine), G(guanine) and T(thymine) to phosphoric acid and glucose. We present standard DNA code to 64 trigram which is $64{\times}4$ matrix with Kronecker product. This $64{\times}4$ matrix has double helix duplex property, and we can get the $4{\times}4$ matrix RNA code by removing the duplex of it. We present the DNA double helix to matrices and analysis the trigram array code of genetic information and the examples of it are presented in example 5, 6.
