Pressure Differentials in the Elevator Lobby Depending on the Evacuation Scenarios (피난 시나리오에 따른 승강장 부속실 차압 특성 연구)

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate the change of pressure differential and smoke propagation characteristics in the elevator lobby with the resident's evacuation scenarios using fire modelling technique. The results showed absolute pressures in the fire room and elevator lobby can significantly increase to cause fire door to the stairway unclosed once it is open. This is due to constant pressure differentials, the increasing reference pressure of fire lobby and pressure leak from elevator lobby to fire lobby. Smoke exhaust mechanism was needed to prevent the continuous pressure rise in the living room. Over 200 Pa was expected upon closing the door during pressurization, which provide difficulties in opening the door for next refugee. Opening both fire door and entrance door may induce smoke flow from fire room to elevator lobby and stairway.

  • We developed a prediction model of assistance force for the opening/closing of an automobile door depending on the condition of the parking ground. The candidates of the learning models for the operating assistance force were compared to determine the proper force according to the slope and user's force, etc. The reduced experimental model was developed to obtain learning data for the estimation model. The learning algorithm was composed to predict the assistance force to incorporate real assistance force data. Among these algorithms, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Support Vector Machine(SVM) were applied and the adaptability was compared between these models. The SVM provided more adaptability for the learning process of the door assistance force prediction. This paper proposes a system for determining the assistance force to control a door motor to compensate for the deviation of required door force in the slope condition, as needed in the plane condition.

  • Using a new dynamic-explicity program SAIT_STAMP the analysis of forming a front door panel is presented. The analysis consists of 7 processes including drawing trimming flanging and springback. From the analysis results it is shown that adaptive refinement scheme and robust trimming algorithm enable SAIT_STAMP to simulate the multi-stage forming of automotive parts with large and complex geometry.

  • In case of a dangerous situation, the roof, which serves as an emergency exit, must be open in case of fire according to the Fire Act. However, when the roof door is opened, it has become a place of various incidents and accidents such as illegal entry, crime, and suicide. As a result, it is a reality to close the roof door in terms of facility management to prevent crime, various incidents, and accidents. Accordingly, the government is pushing to legislate regulations on housing construction standards, etc. that mandate the installation of electronic automatic opening and closing devices on rooftop doors. Therefore, in this paper, an intelligent emergency door opening/closing device system is proposed. To this end, an intelligent emergency door opening and closing system was developed by linking wired and wireless access counting and AI image analysis. Finally, it is possible to build a wireless communication-based integrated management platform that provides remote control and history management in a centralized method of device status real-time monitoring and event alarm.

  • To control screen door installed in the subway platform, geared BLDC motors have been being used. However, because of the geared mechanisms, the control profile of the screen door in slow speed is very poor. Moreover, geared mechanism tends to leads system malfunctions and low efficiency. To overcome those problems, in this paper, the techniques of developing hi-efficiency direct drive gearless PMAC motor controller and application example to control the screen door of subway platforms are proposed. The developed system has advantages that; the energy efficiency has been increased by adopting gearless PMAC motor; the system break-down factor has been decreased due to the actuator mechanism has been simplified. In this paper, the screen door control system structure, PMAC motor drive circuit design, implementations of vector control algorithm, and test results are shown.

  • The platform safety door is difficult to install in platform because the doors of railway vehicles and existing Passenger Safety doors should be alined. To be able to solve this problem, we propose the use of Rope Type Platform Safe Door (RPSD) which is a vertically retractable platform that is designed to close from top to bottom. This platform has installed safety gate pillars at intervals of 20-40 m which accommodates different types of train regardless of train length, gate opening and location. In this paper, we reviewed the application of existing PSD and RPSD in various train stops in Seoul Gyeongbu Line platform. The results of the review showed that the existing PSD may cause problem in construction, safety and cost efficiency. The use of RPSD however shows that minimal problems will be encountered.

  • A demonstration facility for an advanced spent fuel conditioning process (ACP) is under construction at KAERI. In this hotcell facility, the rear door is frequently used since all process equipment and materials are taken in and out only through the rear door. Therefore , both the structural safety and stability of the door are essentially required for the safety of ACP facility. In this paper, the finite element analysis has been performed to investigate the structural safety under the impact condition between the rear door and the door frame. Also the possibility of the rear door being tumbled over by the impact force or the inertia force under a sudden stop conditon has been evaluated. The analysis results demonstrate that the structural safety and stability of the rear door are sufficiently assured for both the impact and the accidential stop conditions.

  • The home service robot supports human beings by performing various kinds of works at home. This paper presents a simple control method for opening a door from the viewpoint of the mobile manipulation. The simulation shows various results of path planning and motion planning for opening a door. The joint trajectories were generated by the simulation system. In general, a six-axis force/torque sensor at an end-effector is needed in order to maintain the static equilibrium of the manipulator. But we show another method. From three components of applied forces which was directly obtained by the three-axis force sensor and three components of applied forces which was indirectly estimated by the joint-torque sensors, all of joint torques that will exactly balance forces at the end-effector in the static situation can be found. It is more practical method than using a six-axis force sensor in a wrist. Experimental results have shown that the opening a door can be realized more effectively from the suggested control method of mobile manipulation.

  • A relationship between resisting moment and the structure of an automatic closure device is introduced for analyzing the effect of opening and closing condition on various fire door sizes in the pressurized room for smoke control system. The larger the size of fire door is, the more force is required for reaching to opening and closing conditions and there exists the design range of fire door in the pressurized room reflecting the closing time of fire door, rotative velocity, a relation between rotative angle and force and the efficiency of the automatic closure device.
