포항시 남부 현무암체의 단층점토에서 산출되는 Fe-세피올라이트 (Fe-rich Sepiolite from the Basalt Fault Gouge in the South of Pohang, Korea)

  • 경북 포항시 남구 동해면 금광리 일대의 전기 마이오세 현무암층 내에 단층파쇄대의 중심에 약 5-10 cm의 폭을 가진 흑색의 단층점토가 길게 연장되어 나타났다. 이 단층점토에 대해 XRD, FTIR, DTA/TGA, SEM, TEM, XRF, EPMA 등으로 자세히 분석한 결과, Fe 성분을 다량 함유하는 Fe-세피올라이트인 것으로 확인되었다. 이 외에 단층파쇄대의 변질광물은 주로 스멕타이트인 것으로 나타났으며, 신선한 모암인 현무암에도 스멕타이트가 상당량 포함되어 나타났다. 이러한 구성광물의 산상으로 보아, Fe-세피올라이트는 현무암의 고화 형성 후에 다소 깊은 곳에서 단층작용과 함께 열수변질작용이 관여하여 형성된 것으로 사료된다.

  • Purpose : The aim of this study was to identify the relation of cognition and visuospatial perception in stoke patients. Methods : A total of 16 stroke patients recruited from two hospital located in Donghae, Kang-won participated in this study(Right hemiplegia : twelve, Left hemiplegia : four). All participants scored higher than 20 point on the MMSE-K. To assess the cognitive function, we performed the Korean version of Mini Mental State Examination(MMSE-K), spatial perception domain of Lowenstein Occupational Therapy Cognition Assessment(LOTCA), Figure Color Copy(FCC), Linebisection Test(LBT) and Albert's test in stoke patients. Results: The Korean version of Mini Mental State Examination and spatial perception domain of Lowenstein Occupational Therapy Cognition Assessment were the highest points in sixty ages, Figure Color Copy is difference between Right hemiplegia and Left hemiplegia. Linebisection Test(LBT) and Albert's test had much relation, visuospatial perception had not relationship. Conclusion: Aging was cognition function and visuospatial perception had an interrelationship. visuospatial perception according to affected side in brain had an interrelationship but cognition function and visuospatial perception had not any interrelationship.

Gomphina (Macridiscus) veneriformis (Lamark, 1818) (Bivalvia: Veneridae) in the East Sea of Korea

  • Gonad development, the reproductive cycle, first sexual maturty and size at 50% of group sexual maturity (the biological minimum size) of Gomphina (Macridiscus) veneriformis were investigated for clams collected from the coastal waters of Donghae City, the East Sea of Korea by histological, and morphometric analysis. Monthly variations of the gonad index showed a pattern similar to that of the reproductive cycle. The reproductive cycle with the gonad developmental stages in female and male G. (M.) veneriformis can be classified into five successive stages: early active stage (December to March), late active stage (March to June), ripe stage (June to July), partially spawned stage (June to August), and spent / inactive stage (September to December). The spawning period continued from June to August, with a peak between July and August when the seawater temperature exceeds $20^{\circ}C$. The percentages of first sexual maturities of female and male clams ranging from 25.1 to 30.0 mm were 56.3% in females and 61.1% in males, and for clams over 30.1 mm shell length, it was 100%. Shell lengths at 50% of group sexual maturity (biological minimum size, $RM_{50}$) were 27.71 mm in females and 26.31 mm in males. Because harvesting clams < 26.31 mm in shell length could potentially cause a drastic reduction in recruitment, a measure indicating a prohibitory fishing size should be taken for adequate fisheries management.

탄소재료가 내첨된 열전도성 복합재의 연구 동향 (Research Trends in Thermally Conductive Composites Filled with Carbon Materials)

  • 전자기기의 고도화 및 소형화에 따라, 기기의 효율 및 수명에 영향을 미치는 발열 문제를 해결하는 것은 가장 큰 해결 난제 중 하나가 되었다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 금속 및 세라믹 기반의 높은 열전도도를 가지는 재료가 많이 사용되어 왔으나, 낮은 기계적 물성 및 높은 중량으로 인해 가벼우면서도 기계적 특성이 좋은 고분자를 기지재로 사용하고 높은 열전도도를 갖는 탄소재료를 필러로 사용한 열전도성 복합재가 주목받고 있다. 열전도성 복합재의 열전도도를 향상시키기 위해서는 효과적인 포논의 이동이 이루어지도록 포논 산란이 억제되야한다. 본 논문에서는 탄소재료/고분자 복합재의 포논 이동 및 산란 억제에 관련된 연구를 분류하고, 열전도도 향상을 위하여 적용된 다양한 방법들에 대하여 논의하였다.

The Effects of Middle School Students' Participation Motivation in Judo as a Recreational Sport Activity on Exercise Flow and Psychological Happiness

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 유도 생활체육 참여동기가 운동몰입 및 심리적 행복감에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위한 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 규명하기 위하여 2020년 1월 18일~20일(3일간) 강원도 동해시에서 열리는 2020년 생활체육 전국유도대회에 참여한 중학생 270명을 대상으로 하였으며 내용이 부실하거나 신뢰성이 없다고 판단되는 설문지를 제외한 총 253부를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생의 유도 생활체육 참여동기는 운동몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중학생의 유도 생활체육 참여동기는 심리적 행복감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중학생의 유도 생활체육에 따른 운동몰입은 심리적 행복감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 일선 현장의 생활체육지도자들은 단순 유도기술 뿐만 아니라 학생들의 인성과 리더십을 향상 시킬 수 있는 구체적인 방법이나 프로그램을 개발하여 서로 간의 의사소통이 긍정적이고 원활하게 이루어질 수 있도록 노력을 해야 할 것으로 사료된다.

시멘트 취급 근로자들에 대한 구강위생실태 연구 (A Study on the Occupational Diseases and Dental Hygiene of Laborers in Cement Industry)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the actual dental hygiene status of workers in cement industry in an effort to serve as a basis for enhancing their dental hygiene. The subjects in this study were 420 laborers from the cities of Curi, Donghae and Samcheok who handled cement. As a result of conducting a survey, the following findings were given : l. The workers investigated found their working environment satisfactory, getting a mean score of 323. They also expressed a high job satisfaction with a mean score of 333. 2. They didn't have a big interest in oral health. By age group, those who were aged between 36 and 40, or who cared less about health management, showed a higher interest in oral health. Besides, the laborers who kept smoking for a longer period, or who drunk more, expressed greater interest. 3. The toothbrushing method was considered most important for periodontal health, by 45.0% of the workers, and the next most crucial one was regular dental examination, followed by refraining from smoking and staying away from sweet food in the order named. 4. Concerning daily mean toothbrushing frequency, 455% brushed their teeth three times a day on the average. More than half them didn't pay enough attention to toothbrushing. 5. Regarding scaling, the large number of the workers, 42.4%, had no experience to get their teeth scaled, 37.6%, the greatest percentage, didn't have their teeth scaled because it seemed to make their teeth painful or cold. 6. As fororal health education experience, 67.6%, the great number of them, had no experience to receive dental health education. The above-mentioned findings suggest that the cement-related workers generally neglected dental health management. They should be encouraged to correct their wrong oral health knowledge or habit to make their oral cavity more healthy. To make it happen, it's required to provide oral health education and promote organized dental health projects.

Investigation of Soybean Cyst Nematode Heterodera Glycines Type and Evaluation of Resistance on Soybean Varieties and Germplasms in Korea

  • Soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines Ichinohe) is one of the serious soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] pests in major soybean producing countries. The objective of this study was to investigate of Heterodera glycines type using the five SCN infested soybean field soils and was to evaluate resistance to the soybean cyst nematode HG 2.5.7 type on soybean varieties and germplasms. The five SCN contaminated soil samples were collected from the three provinces on November 2011 in Korea, and eggs were cultured on early spring season in 2012. For the second study, a total fifty nine soybean varieties and germplasms were tested by infestation of HG type 2.5.7 in the greenhouse. Soybean cyst nematode HG types were investigated from five locations, HG 2 (race 1) type at Donghae, HG 2.5 (race 1) type at Jeongseon and Hapcheon, HG type 2.5.7 (race 1 or 5) at Yeongwol, and HG 1.2.7 (race 5) type at Haenam locations in present study. No Korean soybean varieties and germplasms were observed with SCN resistant trait to the HG type 2.5.7. Average SCN female index were calculated with 82.7% in 59 plant materials. Our results could be provided useful information to develop a SCN resistant cultivar in Korea.

해조분의 첨가가 산란계의 생산성 및 칼슘 . 인의 배설량 저감에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Seaweeds Addition to Layer′s Rarion on Egg Productivity and Reduction of Calcium . Phosphorus Excretion)

  • Over-grown seaweeds in Donghae(east sea of Korea peninsula) may impedes ocean environment, however, they can be a good nutrient resources for poultry feeds if they are utilized properly. In this study, seaweeds powder were tested for laying hens\` ration to investigate the effects on egg production rate, egg quality and calcium phosphorus excretion. One hundred 65wks-old brown layers were fed for 5 weeks alotted with seaweeds powder addition to experimental diet by 0(control), 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0%, respectively, and obtained following results; 1. Seaweeds proved a mid-protein low-energy feed resources with planty of K, Na, Ca, Mg, Sr and Fe. 2. Seaweeds addition by 0.5% and 1.0% improved egg production rate and egg-mass output markedly(p<0.05) than control. Seaweeds addition did not alter cholesterol level of yolk and yolk index, however egg shell thickness showed increasing trend by increasing seaweeds addition level. 3. Protein absorption and digestibility in seaweed addition treatments were significantly higher(p<0.05) than control group and protein contents of excreta in 0.5% and 1.0% treatments were reduced(p<0.05), which suggests effective protein metabolism for egg production. Increasing seaweeds addition reduces Ca and P contents in rectum and excreta, suggesting Ca and P utilization improvement in laying hens and lessening soil pollution. 4. In conclusion, seaweeds addition in layers' diet by 1.0% level improves egg-mass production and might be egg quality by increasing metabolism of protein, calcium and phosphorus.

해양 물리적 영향에 따른 강원도 해역에 시설된 2가지 인공어초의 보존상태 조사 (Investigation of conservation state of two types artificial reef on physical factors, immersed in Gang won coastal waters of the East Sea)

  • 인공어초의 안정성과 내구성에 대한 관심은 최근 크게 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 사이드 스켄소나와 멀티빔에코사운더, 잠수조사를 통하여 어초의 안정성, 시설년도, 종류를 조사하였다. 그 결과 4개의 조사해역(양양, 강릉, 동해 및 삼척)에서 총 8,438개(60개의 단위어초군)가 시설되어 있는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 그 중 85.4%가 안정한 시설 상채를 나타냈으며 나머지 14.6%가 해양의 물리적인 변수에 의해서 영향을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 대표적으로는 파손(6.3%)과 전도(8.3%)현상이 있다. 단위 어초군별로는 61.7%가 안정한 상태를 나타냈으며, 38.3%가 해양의 물리적인 영향을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 대표적인 현상은 매몰이었다.

석회석 입도의 변화가 석탄회의 성상에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Fly and Bed Ash in Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion Boiler According to Particle Size of Limestone)

  • The advantage of CFBC(Circulating fluidized bed combustor) is that it can apply to various fuel sources including the lower rank fuel and remove SOx by means of direct supply of limestone to the combustor without additional desulfation facility. In this paper, we denote characteristics of fly and bed ash to reuse finer limestone usually abandoned(used spec[Coarse LS] 0.1mm under 25%, new spec[Fine LS] 0.1mm under 50%). According to the results, the chemical composition of fly ash was as follows; $SiO_2\;40.8%,\;Al_2O_3\;31.9%,\;CaO\;10.7%,\;K_2O\;4.46%$ in the case of coarse limestone and $SiO_2\;41.1%,\;Al_2O_3\;31.3%,\;CaO\;10.9%,\;K_2O\;4.66%$ in the case of fine limestone. The chemical composition of bed ash was as follows; $SiO_2\;54.2%,\;Al_2O_3\;33.1%,\;CaO\;1.56%,\;K_2O\;4.34%$ in the case of coarse limestone and $SiO_2\;53.8%,\;Al_2O_3\;32.6%,\;CaO\;2.21%,\;K_2O\;4.45%$ in the case of fine limestone. It showed that there was no significant change in chemical composition. And it is conformed that there was no significant change in particle size and shapes.
