가정용 가스보일러 열교환기 유형에 따른 압력분포특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Pressure Distribution for Heat Exchanger Types of Domestic Gas Boiler)

  • Heat transfer and pressure distribution for heat exchanger type of domestic gas boiler are different from shape, pitch, thickness of fin and array of pipe respectively. In order to measure the pressure distribution across the heat exchanger, a suction type wind tunnel was constructed and velocity distribution was measured for pilot tube(4 point) of rack type. The experiments were performed for 5 different air flow mass, rpm=3,6,9,12,15 and transverse axis of heat exchanger(x-length) is 5cm respectively. Results showed that above 9.5m/s, pressure distribution dispersion for wet type of heat exchanger is on the increase and above 5.5m/s, pressure distribution dispersion for dry type of heat exchanger is on the increase. Also, pressure distribution dispersion by comparing two different types heat exchanger, dry type of heat exchanger showed a higher augmentation than wet type of heat exchanger.

여수화력 순환유동상 보일러의 설계특성 고찰 (A Study on Design Characteristics of Yeosu Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler)

  • 340 MWe circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler in Yeosu power station is under construction. The circulating fluidized bed boiler in the Yeosu power plant has a number of differences from other domestic boilers in terms of scale and design. Evaluation of design parameters of the Yeosu CFB boiler should be required because the direct application of existing technology is limited. In this study, design characteristics of the Yeosu CFB boiler was summarized. And thermogravimetric analysis was conducted with comparing other rank coals. Watersteam side heat absorption, flue gas temperature and heat transfer coefficient were calculated by heat and mass balance. Design parameters for the Yeosu CFB boiler were discussed along with typical value in the CFB design range.

저공해형 촉매연소식 소형 콘덴싱보일러 개발 (Development of the Catalytic Combustion Condensing Boiler of Lower Emission Type for Domestic Use)

  • 촉매연소는 근래 들어 산업용 및 가정용의 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있는 환경친화적인 기술로서 본 연구는 고온용 촉매제조기술과 촉매연소기 개발을 중점적으로 수행하여 이를 상용화된 콘덴싱 보일러에 적용하는 데 그 목표를 두었다. 고온용 촉매로는 귀금속 팔라듐(Pd)을 사용하여 담체인 알루미나$(Al_{2}O_{3})$와 지르코니아$(ZTO_{2})$에 일정 중량비로 담지하였고, 천연가스 연소시 촉매의 활성을 비긴 분석하였다. 그 결과 $Pd/Al_{2}O_{3}\;=\;4$가 활성이나 내구성에서 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 기존의 콘덴싱 보일러에 적용되고 있는 판형 연소기(Plate-type combustor)를 시험모델로 촉매성능 및 연소성능을 파악하였고, 이를 토대로 연소면적을 증가시킨 원통형 촉매연소기(Cylindrical-type catalyst combustor)를 개발하였다. 또한, 원통형 촉매연소기를 적용한 콘덴싱 보일러의 촉매연소 성능실험을 통하여 결정한 노즐 5.95mm와 오리피스 21mm로 최적의 연소상태를 갖는 25,000 kcal/hr 촉매연소식 콘덴싱 보일러를 개발하였다.

  • In this study, an investigation into the gas interchangeability and combustion characteristics of natural gas with various compositions was performed. In order to suggest the appropriateness of gas interchangeability using the specific gravity(SG) and the Wobbe index(WI) values, combustion characteristics, which include incomplete combustion and flame lifting, were measured and observed for the upper and lower limits using the gas-oven as a domestic partial-premixed type appliance and the condensing boiler as a domestic premixed type appliance.

  • Catalytic combustion is the environmental-friendly technology, which has been applied to a variety of areas for industrial and domestic use in recent years. Accordingly, this study performed the development of the catalytic manufacturing technology for the high temperature and of the catalytic combustor in priority, which were aimed to be applied to a commercialized boiler. Paliadium(Pd) of a noble metal was used as a catalyst for the high temperature and supported on alumina($Al_[2}O_{3}$) and zirconia($ZrO_{2}$) in constant weight ratio. Activity of Pd catalysts is compared and analyzed in the catalytic combustion of natural gas. The ratio of $Pd/Al_{2}O_{3}=4$ was found to be better than any other weight ratios in activity and durability. The performance examination of catalysts and of combustion through the plate-type combustor made it possible to be developed the cylindrical-type combustor which has increased combustion area. Catalytic combustion boiler of 25,000 kcal/hr class was also developed, which had the optimum combustion condition at the nozzle of 5.95mm and the orifice of 21mm. This condition was determined through the performance experiments of catalytic combustion boiler to which the cylindrical-type catalytic combustor was applied.

가정용 가스보일러 과압방지밸브의 개발 연구 (Development of Relief Valves for the Domestic Gas-fired Hot Water Boilers)

  • 가정용 가스보일러의 안전장치인 새로운 과압방지밸브를 개발하였다. 본 과압방지밸브는 방출용량을 고려하여 입출구의 구경과 시트구경을 확대하였고, 스프링과 난방수가 닿지 않는 밀봉구조로 설계하여 기존 과압방지밸브의 문제점인 입구유로의 고착, 막힘이나 스프링의 부식현상을 최소화하였다. 개발된 과압방지밸브는 시험결과 분출개시압력, 분출정지압력, 밀폐성, 내구성의 성능특성이 우수하였고, 보일러 설치후의 작동성도 우수한 것으로 평가되었다. 본 연구결과를 통한 과압방지밸브의 표준화와 적용은 부품호환뿐만 아니라 유지보수가 용이하다는 장점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

기존 가정용 보일러 및 신형 물분사 폐열회수 보일러에 대한 수소 연료의 평가 (Analysis of Hydrogen Fuel for Existing Domestic Boilers and New Heat Recovery Boilers with Water Spray)

  • Hydrogen is evaluated as one of new energy sources that can overcome the limitations and pollution problems of conventional fossil fuels. Although hydrogen is free from CO2, attention is required in NOx emission and flame stability in order to use hydrogen in existing gas fuel system. This study investigates the differences in operating characteristics and its problems to be modified when the hydrogen is used as fuel for existing domestic boilers and new heat recover boilers with water spray. When the hydrogen is used in domestic boilers, the efficiency is about 6-7% lower than methane due to higher partial vapor pressure in the exhaust gas at usual operating conditions above 60℃ in combustion chamber outlet temperature. On the other hand, the heat recovery boiler with water spray (HR-B/WS-X) is expected to achieve up to 95% efficiency, which is 12% more efficient than conventional boilers. It can also significantly reduce NOx emission by lowering the flame temperature.
