Picture Quality Control Method among Multiple Video Sources

  • When the multiple video sources are together transmitted through the channel of fixed bandwidth, the efficiently picture quality method is necessary. This paper presents the picture quality control method to keep the same distortion level among the video sources. We first find a model of distortion and bitrate for the multiplexing system of multiple sources. Then we obtain the bitrate for each source to have same distortion level among the sources by using the approximated model parameters for simple implementation.

  • Stabilization of piecewise-linear systems with unknown switching information is presented. The current subsystem is identified from the output, and the identified subsystem is used for the observer-based control. The stability of the overall system is proven and the performance is evaluated via a simulation.

  • With the advance of radar technologies, the availability of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images increases. To improve application of SAR images, a management system for SAR images is proposed in this paper. The system provides trainable land cover classification module and display of SAR images on the map. Users of the system can create their own classifier with their data, and obtain the classified results of newly captured SAR images by applying the classifier to the images. The classifier is based on convolutional neural network structure. Since there are differences among SAR images depending on capturing method and devices, a fixed classifier cannot cover all types of SAR land cover classification problems. Thus, it is adopted to create each user's classifier. In our experiments, it is shown that the module works well with two different SAR datasets. With this system, SAR data and land cover classification results are managed and easily displayed.

  • Recently with improvement of SMART Grid, AMI network security has been affecting the environment for Electric information and communication. The system and communication protection consists of steps taken to protect the AMI components and the communication links between system components from cyber intrusions. The addition of two way communications between SUN and HAN introduces additional risk for unauthorized access to the AMI system. In this paper, we propose new AMI device authentication infrastructure, key establishment and security algorithm based on public key encryption to solve AMI network security problems.

  • When a new student, a guest, or a student who first visited a school wants to know information about the school, he / she searches through a smartphone or a tablet. However, if you visit the homepage of the school, you do not know exactly where the information you want to find is located, and you spend a lot of time. In this paper, we develop a school guidance system using Alexa with speech recognition function. Divide the school guidance system into college introduction, major, college activities, and entrance information topics, and fill in the details by topic. In the lambda function of Amazon Web Services, we use Node.js to create information on topics and provide information to users by voice.

The Sensitivity Analysis according to Observed Frequency of Daily Composite Insolation based on COMS (관측 빈도에 따른 COMS 기반의 일 평균 일사량 산출의 민감도 분석)

  • Insolation is an major indicator variable that can serve as an energy source in earth system. It is important to monitor insolation content using remote sensing to evaluate the potential of solar energy. In this study, we performed sensitivity analysis of observed frequency on daily composite insolation over the Korean peninsula. We estimated INS through the channel data of Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite (COMS) and Cloud Mask which have temporal resolution of 1 and 3 hours. We performed Hemispherical Integration by spatial resolution for meaning whole sky. And we performed daily composite insolation. And then we compared the accuracy of estimated COMS insolation data with pyranometer data from 37 points. As a result, there was no great sensitivity in the daily composite INS by observed frequency of satellite that accuracy of the calculated insolation at 1 hour interval was $28.6401W/m^2$ and 3 hours interval was $30.4960W/m^2$. However, there was a great difference in the space distribution of two other INS data by observed frequency of clouds. So, we performed sensitivity analysis with observed frequency of clouds and distinction between the two other INS data. Consequently, there was showed sensitivity up to $19.4392W/m^2$.

  • Diligence/Indolence records are the basic data at a human resource management and the essential data for measure salaries of employees. However, since the D/I systems using RFIDs or biometric sensors require hish costs to build and operate the D/I systems, it is difficult for to small business or self-employed business to use them. In this paper, we propose the Diligence/Indolence system to use the location identification of a smart phon. To locate the position of an employee, the WiFi signal of a smart phone and the wireless access point are exploited. Because the pre-owned hardware resources are used and initial building costs are low, it is easy for small business to use the proposed D/I system with low cost.

  • 본 연구에서는 실험 실습 가상교육 또는 원격 교육 콘텐츠가 학습 효과를 향상할 수 있는 효과적인 교육 수단으로 인정되고 있으나 원격에서 실험 실습을 하기위한 환경구성의 어려움을 극복을 위한 방안으로 웹 기반의 하드웨어 원격제어 기술을 이용하여, 임베디드 시스템 활용 교육을 위한 가상교육 시스템을 구현 하였다. 본 가상교육 시스템의 구성은 서버 시스템과 학습 시스템으로 되어 있다. 서버 시스템은 컴파일 서버, 원격 실습 서버, 웹 서버, Telnet 서버, 웹 카메라 서버 등으로 구성한다. 학습 시스템은 이론 강의, 가상 실습, 원격 실습의 세 부분으로 구성한다. 본 연구에서 구현한 시스템은 원격지에서의 프로세서 실습 환경을 제공하기 위해 웹에서 동작하는 Telnet 클라이언트를 제작하여 임베디드 하드웨어를 제어한다. 또한 이론학습 과정을 별도로 구성하고, 원격제어가 불가능한 개발환경 구축 과정은 가상 실습으로 학습하게 하였다. 이러한 점을 활용하여 임베디드 시스템의 효율적인 학습이 가능하다.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is a method of remotely storing and retrieving data using devices called 'RFID tags'. An RFID tag is a small object, such as an adhesive sticker, that can be attached to or incorporated into a product. RFID tags contain antennas to enable them to receive and respond to radio-frequency queries fro an RFID transceiver. Eventually, RFID SYSTEM is very interesting to watch people live linger than they used to before. Some of reasons for that phenomenon is the improving medical studies. As we live healthier and get to know more about our body, we can extend our lives. Bayesian-based seismic margin assessment approach: Application to research reactor

  • A seismic margin assessment evaluates how much margin exists for the system under beyond design basis earthquake events. Specifically, the seismic margin for the entire system is evaluated by utilizing a systems analysis based on the sub-system and component seismic fragility data. Each seismic fragility curve is obtained by using empirical, experimental, and/or numerical simulation data. The systems analysis is generally performed by employing a fault tree analysis. However, the current practice has clear limitations in that it cannot deal with the uncertainties of basic components and accommodate the newly observed data. Therefore, in this paper, we present a Bayesian-based seismic margin assessment that is conducted using seismic fragility data and fault tree analysis including Bayesian inference. This proposed approach is first applied to the pooltype nuclear research reactor system for the quantitative evaluation of the seismic margin. The results show that the applied approach can allow updating by considering the newly available data/information at any level of the fault tree, and can identify critical scenarios modified due to new information. Also, given the seismic hazard information, this approach is further extended to the real-time risk evaluation. Thus, the proposed approach can finally be expected to solve the fundamental restrictions of the current method.
