HIGH-TPI HDD 구현을 위한 PES ESTIMATION에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PES Estimation for Developing High-TPI HDD)

  • A frequency-domain PES estimation and its prediction method are proposed for the tightly-coupled servo/mechanical design of high-TPI HDD system above 100 kTPI. The major two disturbance energies which are related with mechanical vibrations inside of HDD are used to predict the drive-level PES, while considering closed-loop servo dynamics. One is the torque disturbance which mainly comes from aerodynamic excitation of HSA system and the other is the displacement disturbance from disk-spindle dynamics. In order to obtain the accurate error transfer function of closed-loop servo control, the plant model is measured by accurate experiment. The measured PES is compared with predicted one in terms of frequency-domain PES spectrum and its standard variation value. It is proved that the proposed frequency-domain PES estimation/prediction method is capable of predicting drive-level PES of high-TPI hard disk drive.

전원외란 시뮬레이터를 이용한 고속전철 이선현상과도 특성 연구 (Transient Characteristic Study on Contact Loss of High Speed Electric Railway Using a Power Line Disturbance Simulator)

  • In this study, the dynamic characteristic of a contact wire and pantograph suppling electrical power to high-speed trains are investigated from an electrical response point of view. To analysis power line disturbance by induced contact loss phenomenon for high speed operation, a hardware Simulator which considered contact loss between contact wire and the pantograph as well as contact wire deviation is developed. It is confirmed that a contact wire and pantograph model are necessary for studying the dynamic behavior of the pantograph system. One of the most important needs accompanied by increasing the speed of high-speed train is reduced that an arc phenomenon by loss of contact brings out EMI. In case of a high-speed train using electrical power, as comparison with diesel rolling stock, PLD(Power Line Disturbance) such as harmonic, transient voltage and current, EMI(Electromagnetic Interference), dummy signal injection etc usually occurs. Throughout experiment, it is verified that an arc phenomenon is brought out for simulator operation and consequently conducted noise is flowed in electric circuit by power line disturbance.

  • Using a sliding mode controller and observer techniques, this paper presents a robust current controller for a DC motor in the presence of parametric uncertainties. One of the most important issues in the practical application of sliding mode schemes is the chattering phenomenon caused by switching actions. This paper presents a novel sliding mode controller that incorporates an integral control with a sliding mode disturbance observer to attenuate the chattering by reducing the controller/observer switching gains. The proposed sliding mode disturbance observer is designed to estimate a relatively slow varying signal in the equivalent lumped disturbance owing to system uncertainties. Combining the estimated uncertainty with the sliding mode control input, the proposed controller can achieve the control objective by using the relatively low gain of the controller. The proposed disturbance observer does not include the switching control input of the baseline sliding mode controller to reduce the observer switching gain. In the proposed approach, the integral sliding mode control is used to improve the steady state control performance. Comparative computer simulations are carried out to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method. Through the simulation results, the proposed controller realizes the robust performance with reduced current ripples.

  • Self servo track writing(SSTW)은 servo track writer(STW)를 이용하지 않고 hard disk drive의 내부 VCM을 이용하여 servo track을 기록하는 방식이다. SSTW는 이전 servo track을 상대적인 reference로 하여 기록하게 되므로 초기에 발생된 error와 외부의 disturbance의 영향으로 error는 급속하게 증가된다. 이것을 radial error propagation 이라 한다. 본 논문에서는 radial error propagation을 억제하기 위한 correction signal을 설계하고 servo writing 과정에서 발생하는 disturbance의 영향을 제거하기 위하여 disturbance observer(DOB)를 add-on type으로 구성하여 tracking 제어기를 설계하였다. 또한 DOB를 적용한 경우와 유사한 gain margin, phase margin과 sensitivity function을 갖는 제어기를 설계하여 그 성능을 비교하였다. 제안된 방식은 radial error propagation을 억제 하였을 뿐만 아니라 disturbance의 최소화하여 쓰여진 track의 DC track spacing과 AC track Squeeze가 개선된 것을 모의실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

상호 대국의 안테나 간 자동 추적 지향 기법 및 장치 연구 (The Study of an Automatic Tracking and Pointing Method and the Regarding System for Facing Two Antennas)

  • The existing mobile antenna networks in the military use have been operated by the manual pointing between two antennas. The work presented here describes the study of ATPC(Automatic Tracking and Pointing Control) system between facing antennas and the related tracking and pointing performances. This system is able to automatically track the maximum RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) value from the source's RF(Radio Frequency) signal and then control for maintaining the LOS(Line of Sight) between two antennas. The system has three major units; the driving unit consisting of motors, harmonic drives and encoders, the sensor unit with a GPS(Global Positioning System) and AHRS(Attitude and Heading Reference System) and the control unit regulating all the tracking and pointing events. By using PI(Proportional and Integral) controller, this system is able to properly track and point the other antenna under the external disturbance like the wind load. Both the simulation and the experimental works have been successively carried out to prove the performances of the system.

Voltage disturbance detection method for HTS tape using electromagnetically coupled coils

  • This paper represents the detection method of voltage disturbance for high temperature superconducting (HTS) tape using electromagnetically coupled coils. In order to detect the voltage as the superconductor transits from the superconducting state to the normal conduction state, voltage taps are widely used to get the voltage signal. And voltage taps are connected to data acquisition device via signal wires. However this new suggested method can detect the superconducting transition voltage without signal wires between voltage taps and data acquisition device by using electromagnetically coupled coils. This system consists of two electromagnetically coupled coils, the first coil to detect and transmit the voltage of HTS tape and the second coil to pick up the transmitted voltage from the first coil. By using this new suggested method, we can build the 'separated voltage-detection system'. HTS tape and first coil are located under liquid nitrogen vessel and the second coil is located under room temperature condition. In this paper, experiments are performed to verify the feasibility of the proposed method. As the result of the experiment, the separated voltage-detection system using electromagnetically coupled coils can successfully observe superconducting-normal transition of HTS tapes.

교차 예측 기반의 보컬 추정 방법을 이용한 SAOC Karaoke 모드에서의 음질 향상 기법에 대한 연구 (Quality Improvement of Karaoke Mode in SAOC using Cross Prediction based Vocal Estimation Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 SAOC의 Karaoke 모드의 출력 신호 내에 존재하는 잔여 보컬 성분을 추정하여 억제시킴으로써 음질을 향상시킬 수 있는 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 잔여 보컬 성분은 Karaoke 모드 환경으로 합성된 신호와 Solo 모드로 새로 합성된 신호를 서로 교차 예측하여 추정될 수 있다. 그러나, 두 신호는 모두 같은 다운 믹스 신호로부터 합성되는 신호이므로, 두 신호간의 높은 상관성으로 인하여 가라오케 신호내의 잔여 보컬 성분뿐만 아니라 음악 성분도 함께 제거된다. 이러한 열화를 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 교차 예측 과정에서 심리 음향적 특성을 고려한 예측 방해 신호를 적용하였으며, 이 신호의 크기는 심리음향모델의 마스킹 특성에 따라 음악적 음질의 열화가 최소화되도록 적응적으로 설정되었다. 실험은 보컬 객체가 포함된 음악 신호에 대해서 객관적 및 주관적 음질평가를 수행하였으며, 전체적으로 성능 향상이 있음을 확인하였다.

도로 횡경사 변화에 견실한 차량 횡안정성 제어기 설계 (Robust Vehicle Lateral Stability Controller Against Road Bank Angles)

  • 본 연구에서는 횡가속도 센서 계측 신호 기반의 기준 차량 요레이트 모델을 활용하여 횡경사 유무에 관계 없이 견실한 성능을 보장하는 제동기반 요 모멘트 제어시스템을 개발하였다. 2자유도 single track 모델과 횡가속도 센서 계측 신호를 융합하여 새로운 기준 요레이트 모델을 설계하였고 이를 기반으로 요 모멘트 제어기를 설계하였다. 또한 외란 관측기를 적용하여 요레이트 동역학에 존재하는 차량 파라미터 오차를 보상하고 제어기의 성능을 개선하였다. 다자유도 차량동역학 해석 SW인 CARSIM을 이용하여 평지 및 횡경사 노면을 반영한 다양한 검증 시나리오 조건에서 제안된 제어기를 검증하였다. 그 결과 기준 차량모델에 횡가속도 계측 신호를 반영하고 외란 관측기를 통해 모델 파라미터 오차를 보상하는 것을 특징으로 하는 새롭게 제안된 횡안정성 제어기가 도로 횡경사에 관계없이 다양한 주행상황에서 차량의 횡안정성을 견실하게 유지할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

시변 주기외란 신호에 대한 강인 적응형 하이브리드 제어시스템 (Robust Adaptive Hybrid Control System against Time-varying Periodic Disturbance Signal)

  • Adaptive feedforward control(AFC) is largely aimed for improving control performance of dynamic systems particularly involving periodic disturbance signals in engineering fields. This paper presents a novel hybrid AFC approach for specific systems with multiple disturbances in control input and state variables. The proposed AFC mechanism is hierarchically composed of the conventional AFC and a PID typed auxiliary control law in parallel. The former is generic to decrease periodic disturbance in control actuators and the latter is additionally constructed to overcome control deterioration due to time-varying uncertainty of given systems. We carry out numerical simulation to test reliability of the hybrid AFC system and compare its control performance with a well-known conventional AFC method in terms of time and frequency domains for proving of its superiority.

외란 검출기에 기반한 광디스크 시스템 제어기 설계 (Optical Disc System Controller Design Based on a Disturbance Detector)

  • An Optical disk driver is used in many electronic products besides the computers. In particular, the demands are recently increased as an optical disk player/recorder in the mobile products such as camcorder, portable player or in the home theater appliances, etc. However, the more the mobility is emphasized, the more the optical disk player is exposed to the disturbance inputs. For reducing the possibility of malfunction of the optical disk, we propose a nonlinear controller using the disturbance detecting algorithm based on the Kalman filter. Actual experiments were executed to verify the performance of the proposed method. The proposed method controls the tracking error signal within ${\pm}0.1{\mu}m$.
