  • An alternative method for team diversity studies is to examine demographic faultlines. A concept of demographic faultline enables us to better understand team dynamics with multidimensional diversity. This study suggests the demographic faultline as a new situational factorto influence the relationship between leader teamwork behaviors and a climate of support for innovation. When subgroups divided by demographic faultline are homogeneous within them and heterogeneous between them, the homogeneity may increase intimacy in each subgroup while the heterogeneity may increase exclusiveness between those subgroups. We argued that a leader could play an important role to build a cooperative relationship between faultline-based subgroups and highlight positive aspects of developing and maintaining subgroups in organizations. With a sample of 81 teams (558 employees), it was examined how leader teamwork behaviors would affect a team-level climate of support for innovation and how this relationship would be moderated by each team's demographic faultline (gender, age, and educational specialty). As predicted, it was found that there was a significant positive relationship between each leader's teamwork behaviors and each team's climate of support for innovation. In addition, this relationship was stronger for teams with strong faultline than with weak faultline. Our findings and their implications were further discussed.

  • A new business venture faces intense competition in a dynamic environment. To survive, new business ventures and established companies both need to generate creativity and significant new ventures to be highly competitive and have high levels of performance. In this study, we examined new business ventures that determined their competitiveness and performance generated from entrepreneurial creativity and mediated by ambidextrous innovation. This research used survey data collected from 143 Indonesian's new business shipping agencies, which was collected using an online survey and analyzed through structural equation modeling. The results showed that entrepreneurial creativity in new business ventures is positively associated with competitive advantage but not significant to create a competitive advantage. In contrast, entrepreneurial creativity is positively associated with firm performance. This result indicates that efforts to generate entrepreneurial creativity are not sufficient to create a competitive advantage despite having a significant influence on firm performance. However, entrepreneurial creativity is significantly and positively associated with firm performance and competitive advantage when mediated by ambidextrous innovation. The findings of this study suggest that the competitive advantage of a new business venture in facing intense competition in a dynamic environment condition can be overcome by generating strategic action in the form of entrepreneurial creativity and ambidextrous innovation.

This study is using quantitative research methods. The data is obtained through distributing questionnaires to 180 culinary SMEs employees from cafes and modern food restaurant in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Indonesia. The data is then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Smart-PLS. The results of this study show that GHRM has significant positive effect on workplace green behavior and firm performance, while workplace green behavior also has significant positive effect on green innovation and firm performance. In addition, green innovation has significant positive effect on firm performance. This study contributes to provide and extends the literature related to building green SMEs, which is empirically demonstrated to be able to improve company performance.

This study uses a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability and secondary data. Quantitative data analysis was performed in the form of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis based on Partial Least Square (PLS) to answer the research hypothesis. The results show a significant and positive relationship between transglobal and militancy leadership, transglobal leadership with innovation culture, militancy with innovation culture, militancy with bank sustainability and innovation culture with bank sustainability. The novelty of this research lies in the use of militancy and innovation culture as intervening variables in the correlation between transglobal leadership and bank sustainability. • The research purpose of this paper is to empirically examine the effects of technological readiness and innovation on logistics performance. To build up and maintain an important role in global supply chains, nowadays it is obvious that countries and logistics providers need to achieve competitive advantage in terms of digitalization. However, there is a lack of empirical studies about the impacts of information technologies and innovation potential on the logistics efficiency of countries. Hence, the study analyzes whether the corresponding pillars of the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) matter for the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) and its dimensions. For determining the effects, the pooled regression approach is applied. The results show that technological readiness and innovation are positively and statistically significantly correlated with logistics performance: competence and quality of logistics services, efficiency of customs clearance processes, ability to track and trace consignments, frequency with which shipments reach consignee within scheduled or expected time, and ease of arranging competitively priced shipments. The findings of this study suggest that investments in innovations and technology progress improve countries' logistics efficiency, which is an important prerequisite for enabling Logistics 4.0 and thus, Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation of the economy and society.

  • The study aims to investigate the relationship between innovation activities and business process performance in higher education institution (hereinafter referred to as "HEI") context. The data was collected using a survey and later analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLSSEM) and SmartPLS software. A total of 50 questionnaires were submitted from respondents representing vocational study program management located in Makassar, Indonesia. The findings show that two hypotheses discussed in this study fit the empirical data. Specifically, the results show that there is a positive relationship between innovation activities and business process performance, involving two types of innovation activities, which are exploration activities and exploitation activities, within HEIs. Explorative activity is firmly related to exploitative activity, which furthermore links to business process performance within the HEIs observed. The results confirm that exploration activity can stimulate and lead the HEIs management to generate exploitation activity. For instance, capabilities to absorb knowledge from the external institution may lead this institution to generate advanced academic processes, as well as more efficient and effective managerial processes. The study also signifies ambidexterity capacity, suggesting that it may lead HEIs management to formulate proper strategies in achieving better performance and gaining competitive advantage.

  • Ambidexterity and leadership agility have become the most researched topics to analyze their application in companies, especially in this dynamic era. Several researchers have analyzed it in large companies. However, only a few have discussed the two topics simultaneously and at the MSME level. This study aims to analyze the relationship between ambidexterity and leadership agility and innovation capability and performance at MSMEs in Yogyakarta and East Java, Indonesia. This study is analyzed by using quantitative methods with SEM (Structural Equation Model) methods. The data in this study is primary data that is obtained through distributing 230 questionnaires to MSME managers in Yogyakarta and East Java, Indonesia. From 230 questionnaires distributed, 200 questionnaires are returned and completed, so the response rate in this study is 86%. The results in this study indicate that ambidexterity and leadership agility have a significant effect on innovation capability and MSME performance. This study also proved that innovation capability has a significant effect on MSME performance. Therefore, it is recommended for MSME managers to develop ambidexterity and leadership agility so they can create innovation and good performance. In the end, this study has provided findings related to the combination of ambidexterity and leadership agility variables.
