Distributing Board Monitoring System based on Internet of Things (사물인터넷 기반 수배전반 상태 모니터링 시스템)

  • It is necessary to develop a real-time monitoring system for electric facilities, operating and managing system for the accident prevention of electrical demand facilities anytime, anywhere. In this paper, we propose the implementation of distributing board monitoring system based on Internet of Things(IoT). The proposed system is installed in existing distributing board that it can transmit status information of distributing board and control information through the cloud server and the wireless local area network. The distributing board monitoring system can monitor and control the condition of distributing board by system administrator. The results show that the margin of error was ${\pm}5%$ in performance evaluation.

  • The distributing board in directly installed on the ground or the bottom surface of the building, and when vibrations such as earthquakes or external shocks occur, the possibility of damage or malfunction of electric components such as internal power devices, wiring, and protection relays increases. Recently, the need for a seismic type distributing board is increasing, and research and development of a distributing board having a vibration damping function and product launch are being conducted. In this paper, an IoT-based data collection device system capable of measuring vibration and environmental data of distributing board was designed and implemented. When vibration occurred on the distributing board, data was stored and visualized in the MySQL DB through Node-RED for monitoring and data storage using the MQTT protocol for reliable messaging transmission. The test was conducted by attaching the IoT device of the distributing board, and data was collected in real-time and monitored through Node-RED.

  • A main distributing frame(MDF) is an interface unit that is used to connect office equipment cables in a telephone company to subscriber cables. Until now, there is no automated switching system for MDFs in Korea. Manual handling of an MDF has some drawbacks; It is time-consuming, very cumbersome, and expensive. It also makes maintenance hard. An automated main distributing frame system is proposed and commercialized in Japan. In that system, a robot gripper inserts connecting pins into the cross point holes of a matrix board, which reveals several disadvantages in the aspects of space, maintenance, fault tolerance, and economical efficiency. This paper describes a newly developed robotic switch board system for MDFs. In the developed system, switches are placed at the cross point of a matrix board. There is one robot in between two switch units, so one robot deals with two switch units. In the system, positioning the robot, opening and closing switches can be done by using only a pair of motors and a pair of solenoids. The newly developed system is compact in size, reduces cost, and shows high reliability.

  • The conventional markets is badly damaged by a big fire because of no proper fire fighting management system. The cause of electricity fire is the aging and contact badness of electric equipment. The supervisory detecting system is needed to develop because the electric equipment is located to non visible and non exposing place. In this paper, we investigated the receiving and distributing board, the panel board and the fire prevention system of 17 domestic conventional markets. As a result of survey, capacity of distributing boards is mainly 600A and materials of distributing boards are synthetic resins 49%, metal 44%. ELB is mainly used as branch circuit breaker.

Seismic Integrity Analysis of an Electric Distributing Board Using the Response Spectra Analysis Method (응답스펙트럼해석법을 이용한 배전반의 내진건전성 해석)

  • In this study, a response spectrum analysis of an electric distributing board (EDB) was conducted to investigate seismic integrity in the design stage. For the seismic analysis, the required response spectra of a safe shutdown earthquake with 2% damping (RRS/SSE-2%) specified in GR-63-CORE Zone 4 was used as the ground spectral acceleration input. A finite element method modal analysis of the EDB was also performed to examine the occurrence of resonance within the frequency range of the earthquake response spectrum. Furthermore, static stress caused by deadweight was analyzed. The resultant total maximum stress of the EDB structure was calculated by adding the maximum stresses from both seismic and static loads using the square root of the sum of the squares (SRSS) method. Finally, the structural safety of the EDB was investigated by comparing the resultant total maximum stress with the allowable stress.

  • IT-based automatic controller that control the temperature and humidity to prevent dew condensation of distributing board was designed and implemented in this paper. The dew condensation temperature was deduced from room temperature and humidity of distributing board. Based on the comparisons between the deduced dew condensation temperature and the temperature of surface condensation, the facilities that can prevent the condensation was implemented to be operated in due order. Also, the remote monitoring module to monitor operation status of controller was implemented using LoRa technique. The performances for controller operation and data transmission were validated from the transmission and operation test for dew condensation prevention. The controller can be put to good use at the facilities that requires the condensation prevention.

  • This paper proposed the alarm processing system to improve the efficiency of monitoring method by applying the neural network and troubleshooting knowledge base for IADAPS(Intelligent Alarm Diagnosis And Processing System) method in an receiving and distributing board of Building complex. This IADAPS is abased on the cumulative generalized delta rule of backpropagation in neural network. It was used to infer the minimum alarms among multi-fired alarms, and the inferred alarm can be displayed maintenance information of facility by using a pre-defined troubleshoot knowledge base. For validating the proposed monitoring method, he method of simulation used to the five case of virtual scenario. As comparison results, a proposed method in this paper could be proved the applied possibility of an neural network and utilized in fields of facilities maintenance, if needed, be operated by non-expertise.

  • This research is for temperature control of insulating oil inside the transformer. After I designed and manufactured various systems using Peltier element, which was thermal element, and Heat pipe, which was a cooling system, without electric power. The optimum system could be made by applying them to the temperature control for the insulating oil. I could verify that the combination type of Heat pipe 100 W+ Peltier 100W has a more outstanding capacity than pure Heat pipe 300 W within 60 degrees Celsius through experiments. Through this, I verify that the method of a proper design is prominent, and make an attempt at contribution to power saving effect and more effective control of Distributing board by using this combination type.

  • A PIV system consisting of an image board slit into personal computer and 2-D sheet light projector is developed and related techniques to improve its performance are discussed. A grey-level cross correlation method capable of overcoming particle seeding limitation is suggested. And a sub-pixed interpolation method in determining the vector terminal is preposed by considering 8-neighbours correlation distributing patterns. Furthermore, pressure estimation from the acquired velocity vectors by applying the Poisson equation is persented with reasonable feasibility. As a practical application of the present system, evaporator flows are analysed and attained instantaneous velocity vectors reveal that the flow phenomena maintain turbulent fluctuation.

  • 화재 발생에 따른 화재조사 시 배전반이나 분전반의 완전 소락에 따른 전기화재 원인규명의 기본적이고도 중요한 증거 소멸로 원인불명 율이 점차 높아가고 있는 실정이다. 공장이나 창고에서 전기화재를 가장한 수 배전반 화재를 시도할 경우 그 증거를 찾기 어렵다. 또한, 수 배전반이 위치한 곳에 사람이 상주하지 않는 곳이 많으며 초기 소화가 원활히 이루어지지 않을 경우 막대한 재산 피해와 통신의 대혼란을 가져올 소지가 다분히 존재하고 있다. 따라서, 수 배전반 및 분전반의 화재로부터 보호하기 위해서는 신뢰성과 안전성이 확보된 자동소화 시스템의 도입이 필요하다.
