This study is about the VR controller that can provide an enhanced experience in VR by augmenting the sense of weight. In this study, the method of changing the center of gravity of the controller was used as a means of transmitting the sense of weight. The experiment was carried out with a device that could change the center of gravity to find the minimum distance at which people can perceive the difference in weight. The results showed that the weight difference between the two stimuli can be perceived at a distance of about 5 cm regardless of the position of the starting stimulus.

Purpose : Tandem stance is a clinical measure of standing balance considered to assess postural steadiness in a heel-to-toe position by a temporal measurement. The aim of this study is to investigate postural steadiness and to explore the weight distribution between legs during 25s of quiet stance and tandem stance(right foot was leading) in healthy young adults. Methods : 107 healthy young adults(mean age 21.1 years) are participated. Weight distribution beneath both feet and sway distance were recorded while the subjects performed 25s of quiet stance and tandem stance. Results : Subjects placed more weight on the rear leg in tandem stance and on the left foot in quiet stance. So, quiet stance and tandem stance is not a task for equal weight bearing. Subjects show larger sway distance in anteroposterior direction of tandem stance than quiet stance. Conclusion : The results of this study will be useful to researchers and clinicians using tandem stance measures to evaluate postural steadiness and to predict fall. The results suggest that tandem stance is useful to treat of weight distribution and to improve of balace in elderly adults and stroke patients.
The objective of experiment was to investigate the effects of planting density on growth and yield of vegetable soybean, and to clarify the optimum planting density of vegetable soybean in the middle west region of Korea. The field experiment with 4 levels of planting density was carried out at Yesan area in $2005{\sim}2006$. The days from seeding to flowering and the days from seeding to harvesting and lodging were not significantly different among planting distance. The stem length was increased as planting distance was shortened but the number of node, branch, pod per branch, pod per individual, weight of stem and pod, one hundred pod weight and rate of 2+3 seed per pod were decreased as planting density was increased. The size of vegetable soybeans was not significantly different among planting distance, but the harvest index of vegetable soybean was decreased as planting distance was shortened. Yield of vegetable soybean was increased as planting distance was decreased. However, the approriate densities for stem and pod weight per a plant, number of pod per a branch and the vegetable soybean yield of 2+3 seed per pod were different from that density. The optimal planting distance of varieties was $60{\sim}25\;cm$ in Sunheukkong and Ilpumgeomjeongkong and was $60{\sim}35\;cm$ in Galmikong.
To investigate the flow-accelerated corrosion (FAC) dependency of carbon steel (A106 Gr. B) and low-alloy steels (1Cr-1/2Mo, 21/4Cr-1Mo) on pH, orifice distance, and material, experiments were carried out. These experiments were performed using a flow velocity of 4 m/sec (partly 9 m/sec) at pH $8.0\~10.0$ in an oxygen-free aqueous solution re-circulated in an Erosion-Corrosion Test Loop at $130^{\circ}\;{\ldots}$ for 500 hours. The weight loss of the carbon steel specimens appeared to be positively dependent on the flow velocity. That of the carbon and low-alloy steel specimens also showed to be distinguishably dependent on the pH. At pH levels of $8.0\~9.5$ it decreased, but increased from 9.5 to 10.0. Utility water chemistry personnel should carefully consider this kind of pH dependency to control the water system pH to mitigate FAC of the piping system material. The weight loss of the specimens located further from the orifice in the distance range of $6.8\~27.2$ mm was shown to be greater, except for 21/4Cr-1Mo, which showed no orifice distance dependency. Low alloy steel specimens exhibited a factor of two times better resistance to FAC than that of the carbon steel. Based on this kind of FAC dependency of the carbon and low-alloy steels on the orifice distance and material, we conclude that it is necessary to alternate the composition of the secondary piping system material of NPPs, using low-alloy steels, such as 21/4Cr-1Mo, particularly when the system piping has to be replaced.
The blasting vibration prediction in Korea is mainly carried out by the scaled distance method. The delay interval of the scaled distance method is generally considered to be 8ms, where the effect of vibration between adjacent holes is not included. In this study, the origin and issues of 8ms criterion are reviewed from literatures and Langefors' 2.5T criterion is applied to evaluate the applicabilities of 8ms, 17ms and 25ms intervals in which a vibration does not affect an adjacent hole.
Many risk factors with the onset of Low Back Pain(LBP) have been identified, however, lifting out of Manual Material Handling(MMH) was the most important factor to the LBP. Injuries due to lifting took account for 34.0%(227,291) out of the total overexertion in MMH(668,084). The weight, vertical location, twist angle, lifting frequency, and lifting posture were reviewed in this study. Technical information for using the revised lifting equation to evaluate a variety of two - handled manual material handling tasks was suggested. To measure worker's fatigue in lifting task, Lifting Index Simulator(LIS) was create under the revised NIOSH(National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) lifting equation. For the implementation of the LIS, data was collected in A company manufactures various paints in Si-Wha industrial complex, Kyunggi-Do. The results of the Lifting Index(LI) were analyzed by MANOVA to find the relation with lifting variables collected. It was found that horizontal distance, vertical distance, travelling distance and frequency were significant at the 0.01 level and weight was significant at the 0.05 level. The purpose of this paper is to reduce the chronical low back pain for the manual material handlers.
Lee weight is more appropriate for some practical situations than Hamming weight as it takes into account magnitude of each digit of the word. In this paper, we obtain a sufficient condition over the number of parity check digits for codes correcting random errors and simultaneously detecting burst errors with Lee weight consideration.

Purpose : The study was designed to identify the change of body alignment according to surface during walking with backpack. Methods : Healthy twenty people(10 men & 10 women) participated in this study. The exclusion criteria were orthopedic and neurologic disease. Initial alignment measurements were performed. Results were evaluated by angle and range from earlobe to acromion, acromion to malleolus and earlobe to malleolus in the GPS system. Results : On the hard surface, the distance and angle from malleolus to earlobe increased after walking with backpack which is 20 % of weight(p<.05). In addition the distance from malleolus to acromion and the angle from earlobe to acromion increased(p<.05). On the soft surface, on the other hand, the distance and angle from malleolus to earlobe decreased after walking with backpack which is 20 % of weight(p<.05). There was no relationship between the change of the surface and the body's alignment(p>.05). Conclusion : Consequently, the body alignment was changed by backpack which is 20 % of weight, but body alignment wasn't changed by the surface. So more study need to be surveyed regard of this.

The advancement of autonomous driving technology has heightened the importance of Autonomous Mobile Robotics (AMR) within smart factories. Notably, in tasks involving the transportation of heavy objects, the consideration of weight in route optimization and path planning has become crucial. There is ongoing research on local path planning, such as Dijkstra, A*, and RRT*, focusing on minimizing travel time and distance within smart factory warehouses. Additionally, there are ongoing simultaneous studies on route optimization, including TSP algorithms for various path explorations and on minimizing energy consumption in mobile robotics operations. However, previous studies have often overlooked the weight of the objects being transported, emphasizing only minimal travel time or distance. Therefore, this research proposes route planning that accounts for the maximum payload capacity of mobile robotics and offers load-optimized path planning for multi-destination transportation. Considering the load, a genetic algorithm with the objectives of minimizing both travel time and distance, as well as energy consumption is employed. This approach is expected to enhance the efficiency of mobility within smart factories.

In a template-matchig-based speech recognition syste, excessive weight given to perceptually unimportant spectral variations is undesirable for discriminating among acoustically similar words. By introducing a simple threshold-type nonlinearity applied to the distance metric, the word recognition performance can be improved for a vocabulary with similar sounding words, without modifying the system structure.
