필기체 수표 금액 문장에서의 단어 분리를 위한 공간적 간격 추정 (Spatial Gap Estimation for Word Separation in Handwritten Legal Amounts on BAnk Check)

  • 본 논문에서는 수표 영상 내의 필기체 문장 금액을 개별 단어로 분리하기 위해 연결 성분 간의 공간적 간격을 효과적으로 측정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 간격 측정 방법들은 과대추정 또는 과소추정과 같은 문제를 내포하고 있어 무제약적 필기 스타일에 의한 문자의 왜곡과 필기 공간의 제약으로 인한 연결 성분 간 중첩 및 접촉, 그리고 단어 간 또는 문자 간 간격의 불규칙성이 심하게 나타나는 문장 금액에 적용하는데 많은 어려움을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 측정 방식들을 수정 보완하여 측정 과정에서의 오류를 줄임으로써 단어 분리 성능을 향상시키고자 하였다. 단어 분리 실험 결과로부터 수정된 각 거리 측정법이 대응되는 기존의 측정법에 비해 $2-3\%$ 정도 향상된 단어 분리 성능을 보임을 확인하였다.

  • We are dealing with the preliminary diagnosis from the information of headache interview chart. We quantify the qualitative information based on the interview chart by dual scaling. Prototype of fuzzy diagnostic sets and the neural linear regression methods are established with these quantified data, These new methods can be used to classify new patient's tone of diseases with certain degrees of belief and its concerned symptoms. We call these procedures as neural Fuzzy Differential Diagnosis of Headache (NFDDH-1). Also we investigate three measures to medical diagnosis, where relations between symptoms and diseases are described by intutionistic fuzzy set (IFS) data. Two measures are described by nin-max and max-min IFS operators, respectively. Another measure is the similarity degree, i.e., IFS distance between patient's symptoms and prototypes of diseases. We consider some reasonable criteria for three measures in order to determine the label of headache, We will establish hree measures in NFDDH-2 and combine two packages as NFDDH

  • In sampling survey the nonresponse reduces the precision of the estimator becuase of the nonresponse bias of the estimator. Deville, et al.(1993) considered the generalized raking procedure with the auxiliary information under five distance measures for reducing the nonresponse bias of the estimator. This paper extends the classical weighting adjustment of Deville, et al.(1993) to the stratified sampling case with three among five measures.

  • Some inequalities for quantum f-divergence of matrices are obtained. It is shown that for normalised convex functions it is nonnegative. Some upper bounds for quantum f-divergence in terms of variational and ${\chi}^2-distance$ are provided. Applications for some classes of divergence measures such as Umegaki and Tsallis relative entropies are also given.

  • Recently, Cooling tower are used the necessary element in a residential area and living space on the viewpoint of indoor temperature control. The purpose of this study is to assistance the comfortable environment and economical measures of noise transmission mechanism on tile cooling tower. The results show that noise evaluation interact the main factor of distance reduction and diffraction reduction. Noise criterion apply to the NC level and equivalent transmission loss about already the design of noise reduction.

  • We developed a biofeedback gait training system; a 12 m measuring walkway with a training walker which moves at prescribed velocity. The walkway measures a.11 temporal and distance factors of gait. This system provides visual feedback for distance factors and auditory one for temporal at the prescribed walking velocity. Experiments were performed on normal and degenerative knee joint subjects, and this system was verified to be very useful.

  • This study set out to analyze the appropriateness of the piling distance installed in weathered layer in the auger-drilled piling method and the reasonable piling distance for the unfinished parts. For that purpose, an investigation was done of the reliability of the dynamic test, the appropriateness of the old bearing capacity formula for the auger-drilled piling, and the quality control measures for obtaining the required bearing capacity.

  • In this paper reliability growth model in which the operating time between successive failure is a continuous random variable is proposed. This model is for Burr type XII distribution with two parameters which is discussed in two versions: the order statistics and non-homogeneous Poisson process. The two software reliability measures are obtained. The performance for two versions of the suggested model is tested on real data set by U-plot and Y-plot using Kolmogorov distance.

초음파 이용 거리측정을 위한 센서 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Development of Sensors for Distance Measure Using Ultrasonic)

  • In this paper, we report a novel algorithm based on phase displacement, which supplements conventional TOF methods for distance measurement using an ultrasonic wave. The proposed algorithm roughly measures the distance between the transmission part and the receiving part by using the initial TOF. Thereafter, the precise distance is determined by measuring the phase displacement value between the synchronizing transmission signal and the signal obtained at the receiving end. A distance measurement experiment using a micrometer was performed to verify the accuracy of the ultrasonic wave sensor system. We found that the mean errors from the one adopting the distance measurement algorithm based on phase displacement varied from a minimum of 0.03 mm to a maximum of 0.09 mm. In addition, the standard deviation varied from a minimum of 0.04 mm to a maximum of 0.07 mm, thus giving a precision of ${\pm}0.1$ mm.
