지중진동 측정을 통한 흙막이 근접발파 영향 연구 (Study on the Effect of Near Blasting to Earth Retaining Wall by Measuring Underground Vibrations)

  • 근접발파진동이 흙막이 안정성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 3개 현장에서 시험발파를 시행하였다. 시험결과 동일거리의 지중에서 측정된 진동은 지표에서 측정된 진동의 10~52% 수준으로 작아 어스앵커 정착장 등 지중에 설치된 구조물은 지표에 있는 구조물에 비해 상대적으로 발파진동에 안전함을 확인하였다. 측정된 3개 현장의 지표 및 지중진동 PPV를 통합 회귀분석하여 진동추정식을 도출하였으며, 이를 활용 지중 및 지표에서 양생중인 콘크리트에 대해 양생시간별 허용진동기준을 만족하는 발파패턴별 최소이격거리를 산정하였다. 근거리 발파진동 측정, 흙막이 계측치 변화 확인, 구조물 변형여부 육안관찰을 통해 확인한 결과 특별히 흙막이 안정성에 불리한 불연속면이 발달하지 않는 한 지발당장약량 2.4kg 이하의 발파작업은 흙막이 안정성에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 판단된다.

시청자 관점에서의 UHD 콘텐츠 화질 비교 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Comparative Analysis of UHD Video Quality from Audience Viewpoint)

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 방송 중인 Full HD, Up-scaling UHD, 4K UHD Native의 세 가지 콘텐츠품질을 대상으로 일반 가정의 TV 시청거리인 2.5m 거리에서 55, 65, 75인치 세 가지 크기의 TV수상기를 이용하여 주관적 화질평가를 실시하였다. 본 화질평가 실험은 화질평가 응답이 부적합한 4명의 데이터를 제외한 169명의 데이터를 대상으로 SPSS 25.0를 이용하여 콘텐츠품질이 성별, 수상기 크기, 선호프로그램 장르에 따른 영향을 분석하였다. 또한 측정기를 통한 객관적 화질평가와 주관적 화질평가 결과도 비교 분석하였다.

Optimized inverse distance weighted interpolation algorithm for γ radiation field reconstruction

  • The inversion of radiation field distribution is of great significance in the decommissioning sites of nuclear facilities. However, the radiation fields often contain multiple mixtures of radionuclides, making the inversion extremely difficult and posing a huge challenge. Many radiation field reconstruction methods, such as Kriging algorithm and neural network, can not solve this problem perfectly. To address this issue, this paper proposes an optimized inverse distance weighted (IDW) interpolation algorithm for reconstructing the gamma radiation field. The algorithm corrects the difference between the experimental and simulated scenarios, and the data is preprocessed with normalization to improve accuracy. The experiment involves setting up gamma radiation fields of three Co-60 radioactive sources and verifying them by using the optimized IDW algorithm. The results show that the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of the reconstruction result obtained by using the optimized IDW algorithm is 16.0%, which is significantly better than the results obtained by using the Kriging method. Importantly, the optimized IDW algorithm is suitable for radiation scenarios with multiple radioactive sources, providing an effective method for obtaining radiation field distribution in nuclear facility decommissioning engineering.

The Analysis of Variation on the Area of Shoes with EMG and Thermography of Lower Extremity

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out changes in muscle activity and body heat of tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscles according to the area touching the ground through the areas of different heel heights using electromyography and infrared thermography. Method: This study was carried out for 15 healthy women. After walking for 30 minutes, the body temperature was measured in a standing state in front of the measuring instrument, and the distance between the treadmill and the thermography was about 50M, which may cause an error in measurement. Result: The results of the comparison of changes in muscle activity and body heat showed significant differences all in tibialis anterior, medial gastrocnemius muscle an lateral gastrocnemius muscle. The changes in body heat of tibialis anterior and medial gastrocnemius muscles according to the shape of the heel were lower as the area of the heel touching the ground was wider. Conclusion: This study was conducted to find out changes in muscle activity and body heat of tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscle depending on the area touching the ground through different heel areas.

실내모형시험을 통한 Gravel Drain의 배수효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Drainage Effects of Gravel Drain by Laboratory Model Test)

  • Sand drain as a vertical drainage is widely used in soft ground improvement. Recently, sand, the principal source of sand drain, is running out. A laboratory model test was carried out to utilize gravel as a substitute for sand. Though which the characteristics of gravel are compared to those of sand for engineering purpose. Two cylindrical containers for the model test were filled with marine clayey soil from the west coast of Korea with a column in the center, one with sand, the other with gravel. Vibrating wire type piezometers were installed at the distance of 1.0D, 1.5D and 2.0D from the center of the column. D is the diameter of the column. The transient process of pore water pressure with loading and the characteristics of consolidation were studied with the data gained from the measuring instrument place on the surface of the container. The parameter study was performed for the marine clayey soil before and after the test in order to check the effectiveness of the improvement. The clogging effect was checked at various depth in gravel column after the test. According to the test, the settlement was found to be smaller in gravel drain than in sand drain. The increase in bearing capacity by gravel pile explains the result. The clogging effect was not found in gravel column. As a result, it is assumed that gravel is relatively acceptable as a drainage material.

프라이 오토의 '자연적 구조'의 건축적 이념에 관한 연구 (A Study on the architectural Idea of 'the natural Construction' of Frei Otto)

  • Frei Otto, who is called to be the father of the ecological architecture, has shaped a peculiar architectural form style. In distance from the formalistic persistence to the modernist form canon and the postmodern tendencies to the self-representation of architects, Frei Otto has taken a more fundamentalistic position. Through the interdisciplinary researches on the self-organizing processes in the nature and the technical world Frei Otto could reason with architects, engineers, biologists, historians and philosophers the principle and structure of the natural construction that is applicable to the morphological research and the architectural construction research. In the middle of his architectural and scientific works is the idea of 'the natural construction' situated, and the basic principle and instrument of this 'Die Prinzip der Selbstbildung, The Principle of Self-making'. Founding himself on this principle, Frei Otto seeks after the new architectural form that is light, natural, flexible and variable by reasoning the typical formation process which refers to the common denominator of the self-making processes in the nature, the technique and the architecture. Despite his architecture is to be called to the anonymous, his architectural vision is headed toward the rationalistic form in accord with the natural laws. This study is purposed to elucidate the constellation to which his scientific attempts belong and the theoretical and methodological foundations of his architecture of 'the natural construction'.

실감 방송에서의 3D 깊이/모양 지각감 왜곡의 측정 (Measurement of the Perceptual Distortion of 3D Depth/Shape in Realistic Broadcasting)

  • 자연 3D 환경에서와 달리 3D 디스플레이를 통해 제시되는 대상의 깊이와 모양은 관찰거리에 따라서 체계적으로 왜곡되어 지각된다. 동일한 3D 디스플레이를 시청하는 다수의 시청자가 상이한 3D 깊이감과 모양감을 지각하는 것은 바람직하지 않은데, 이와 같은 3D 깊이감/모양감 왜곡 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 3D 깊이감과 모양감의 왜곡정도를 측정하는 정교한 도구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 3D 깊이감과 모양감 왜곡의 문제를 해결하기 위한 기반연구로서 3D 깊이감과 모양감 왜곡정도를 측정할 수 있는 깊이감/모양감 왜곡 측정도구를 제안한다.

정밀정형 냉간단조 기어성형을 위한 소재처리와 다이설계 (Billet Treatment and Die Design for Net-Shape Forming of Gear by Cold Forging)

  • In this paper, net-shape forming of an automobile gear is investigated. Barrel, a component of automobile start motor, is adopted as a net-shape forming. In order to accomplish the goal of net-shape forming without cutting of tooth and cam after forming, forming ability is raised through billet treatment and die design. As a technique of billet treatment spheroidizing annealing of billet to get low hardness and molybdenum disulphide coating to get low contact friction between billet and die is carried out. One of critical points of die design, fillet radii variation of tooth of die is applied to get smooth surface of barrel after cold forging. As a measurement of tooth accuracy, distance between two pins and lead-tooth alignments are investigated. Cam profile accuracy is checked with a 3D measuring instrument. Results obtained from the tests revealed reasonable result with respect to design goal. By these results, the paper shows that reasonable results can be obtained by billet treatment and die design for net-shape forming.

  • This study concerned with the retention structures or inverted temporary building for displacement measurement in the underground soil after drilling a vertical tilt sensor attached to the vertical distance required to maintain a real-time measurement and management in order to install the wireless measuring devices installed in the field through remote control and management program for the safety of retaining structures temporary building be found on the internet in real time temporary building the retention is to develop a safety management system. And based on this technology to monitor the future status of the various structures possible to add a variety of sensors and Life Cycle Prediction of the structure and needs to evolve into intelligent systems and wireless networks using wireless communications infrastructure systems based on expanding domestic market penetration by developing instrumentation pioneer in overseas markets as well as the activation can also be judged.

Relationship between Apparent Viscosity and Line-Spread Test Measurement of Thickened Fruit Juices Prepared with a Xanthan Gum-based Thickener

  • The flow behaviors of three thickened fruit juices (orange, apple, and grape juice) prepared with a commercial instant xanthan gum (XG)-based thickener that is marketed in Korea were investigated at different thickener concentrations (1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5%, 3.0%, and 3.5%) and setting times (5 and 30 min) using a rheometer and a line-spread measurement method. The flow distance values measured by the line-spread test (LST) were compared with the apparent viscosity (${\eta}_{a,50}$) values measured with a sophisticated computer-controlled rheometer. The ${\eta}_{a,50}$ values of the juices increased as thickener concentration increased, whereas their flow distances decreased. The ${\eta}_{a,50}$ values at the 30-min setting time were much higher than those at the 5-min setting time, indicating that the setting time before serving or consuming thickened juices can affect viscosity values. Plots comparing ${\eta}_{a,50}$ values to LST flow distances revealed strong exponential relationships between the two measures ($R^2$=0.989 and $R^2$=0.987 for the 5- and 30-min setting times, respectively). These results indicate that the LST can be a suitable instrument for evaluating the viscosity of thickened fruit juices prepared with different XG-based thickener concentrations and setting times for the dysphagia diet.
