열화학적 방법에 의한 전극용 나노 Cu/Al2O3 복합분말 합성 (Synthesis of Cu/Al2O3 Nanostructured Composite Powders for Electrode Application by Thermochemical Process)

  • Nanostructured Cu-$Al_2O_3$ composite powders were synthesized by thermochemical process. The synthesis procedures are 1) preparation of precursor powder by spray drying of solution made from water-soluble copper and aluminum nitrates, 2) air heat treatments to evaporate volatile components in the precursor powder and synthesis of nano-structured CuO + $Al_2O_3$, and 3) CuO reduction by hydrogen into pure Cu. The suggested procedures stimulated the formation of the gamma-$Al_2O_3$, and different alumina formation behaviors appeared with various heat treating temperatures. The mean particle size of the final Cu/$Al_2O_3$ composite powders produced was 20 nm, and the electrical conductivity and hardness in the hot-extruded bulk were competitive with Cu/$Al_2O_3$ composite by the conventional internal oxidation process.

크로스 케이블로 결속된 인터로킹 케이슨 방파제의 파력분산특성 (Dispersion Characteristics of Wave Forces on Interlocking Caisson Breakwaters by Cross Cables)

  • 이상 기후현상으로 인해 폭풍의 강도가 커지고, 지속시간 또한 길어지고 있어 연안 피해가 점차 대규모화 되고 있다. 이러한 변화에 대응하기 위하여 기존 방파제에 대한 평가기준과 신설 방파제의 설계기준이 강화되고 있다. 최근 케이슨식 방파제의 구조적 안정성을 향상시키기 위하여 개별 케이슨이 독립적으로 파에 저항하도록 하였던 방파제 케이슨을 서로 인터로킹시키는 방안이 관심을 받고 있다. 이는 각각의 케이슨에 작용하는 힘을 분산시켜 이상파랑이 발생할 경우에도 최대파력이 저감되어 방파제의 안정성을 확보할 수 있도록 한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 케이블을 이용하여 케이슨 상부를 방파제 기준선방향으로 인터로킹시켰을 때의 파력의 분산특성에 대해서 분석하였다. 수치계산의 효율을 위해 지반과 연결 케이블은 선형 스프링으로 모형화하고 케이슨은 강체로 가정한 정적 선형모델을 개발하였다. 수치해석 결과, 입사각이 커질수록 케이블을 통하여 전달되는 파력비가 높아지고, 인터로킹 케이블의 강성이 클수록 전달 파력비가 증대되어 파력분산 효과가 높아지는 특성을 확인할 수 있었다.

분말 제조 방법에 따른 Ni-Y2O3 소결 합금의 미세 구조 및 기계적 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Ni-Y2O3 Sintered Alloys Based on the Powder Preparation Methods)

  • In this study, Ni-Y2O3 powder was prepared by alloying recomposition oxidation sintering (AROS), solution combustion synthesis (SCS), and conventional mechanical alloying (MA). The microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloys were investigated by spark plasma sintering (SPS). Among the Ni-Y2O3 powders synthesized by the three methods, the AROS powder had approximately 5 nm of Y2O3 crystals uniformly distributed within the Ni particles, whereas the SCS powder contained a mixture of Ni and Y2O3 nanoparticles, and the MA powder formed small Y2O3 crystals on the surface of large Ni particles by milling the mixture of Ni and Y2O3. The average grain size of Y2O3 in the sintered alloys was approximately 15 nm, with the AROS sinter having the smallest, followed by the SCS sinter at 18 nm, and the MA sinter at 22 nm. The yield strength (YS) of the SCS- and MA-sintered alloys were 1511 and 1688 MPa, respectively, which are lower than the YS value of 1697 MPa for the AROS-sintered alloys. The AROS alloy exhibited improved strength compared to the alloys fabricated by SCS and conventional MA methods, primarily because of the increased strengthening from the finer Y2O3 particles and Ni grains.

분산제의 종류 및 사용량에 따른 CNT 보강 시멘트 복합체의 강도변화 (Strength of CNT Cement Composites with Different Types of Surfactants and Doses)

  • 이 연구는 탄소나노튜브의 우수한 역학적 특성을 시멘트재료에 활용하여 역학적인 특성을 향상시키고자 현재 탄소나노튜브를 활용하고 있는 분야에서 탄소나노튜브의 분산성을 향상시키는데 사용되고 있는 계면활성제인 CTAB, SDBS, TX10 및 문헌조사를 통하여 유효하다 알려진 고성능감수제와 탄소나노튜브를 혼합한 모르타르 강도 시험체를 제작하여, 계면활성제 종류에 따른 특성 및 사용량에 따른 복합체의 강도변화를 평가하였다. 계면활성제 중에서는 고성능감수제가 작은 강도저하 현상 및 CNT 보강에 따른 높은 강도향상 효과를 나타내었다. 고성능감수제의 사용량에 따른 강도변화에서는 사용량 증가에 따라 실험체의 강도는 감소하였으며, CNT 보강에 따른 강도향상 효과는 시멘트 중량 대비 0.4% 이하에서는 나타나지 않으며 0.8%이상의 사용량에서 나타났다. 마지막으로 CNT의 사용량을 감소시키고 초음파로 처리한 탄소나노튜브를 보강한 시험체의 경우 탄소나노튜브를 혼합하지 않은 실험체보다 강도가 증가하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

실내공간의 이미지 전회비교 평가를 통한 공간유형별 지각특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on perceptive characteristics of space type through comparative evaluation on the image rotation of Interior Space)

  • For the user-centered interior space design, a designer needs to carefully focus on the details from which the user must keenly observe or concentrate on the space and how to deliberately check the image of the space. Following this view, for the user-centered interior space design this study analyzes the way which the space is represented from the perspective of the image assessment. The results obtained from this study are summarized as follows: First, this study analyzed the characteristic of space image change in the form of cross-comparison between one space and a rotated space. With analyzing of an eye fixation by showing the space, the space images of "concentration-dispersion" and "strengthening-weaken "have an important role in the analysis of the perception of space. it confirmed that the method of space perception was changed by rotated the space. Second, With changing quantities of image and extraction of deviation from adjective in survey, it quantitatively graps that respondents of feel in space perception by changing the space and "concentration" and 'dispersion" for process of space choice. The results of the research can provide important basis to judge the changing of space perception by visual perception. Third, through the analysis of image change rate and deviation rate, the characteristics of image change with space change can be analyzed. The results derived from the study provide the evidence to support the image change by space rotating.

기계적 합금화 공정으로 제조된 Fe-14Cr Ferritic 산화물 분산 강화(ODS) 합금 강의 고온 산화 거동 (High Temperature Oxidation Behavior of Fe-14Cr Ferritic Oxide Dispersion Strengthened Steels Manufactured by Mechanical Alloying Process)

  • This study investigates the oxidation properties of Fe-14Cr ferritic oxide-dispersion-strengthened (ODS) steel at various high temperatures (900, 1000, and $1100^{\circ}C$ for 24 h). The initial microstructure shows that no clear structural change occurs even under high-temperature heat treatment, and the average measured grain size is 0.4 and $1.1{\mu}m$ for the as-fabricated and heat-treated specimens, respectively. Y-Ti-O nanoclusters 10-50 nm in size are observed. High-temperature oxidation results show that the weight increases by 0.27 and $0.29mg/cm^2$ for the as-fabricated and heat-treated ($900^{\circ}C$) specimens, and by 0.47 and $0.50mg/cm^2$ for the as-fabricated and heat-treated ($1000^{\circ}C$) specimens, respectively. Further, after 24 h oxidation tests, the weight increases by 56.50 and $100.60mg/cm^2$ for the as-fabricated and heat-treated ($1100^{\circ}C$) specimens, respectively; the latter increase is approximately 100 times higher than that at $1000^{\circ}C$. Observation of the surface after the oxidation test shows that $Cr_2O_3$ is the main oxide on a specimen tested at $1000^{\circ}C$, whereas $Fe_2O_3$ and $Fe_3O_4$ phases also form on a specimen tested at $1100^{\circ}C$, where the weight increases rapidly. The high-temperature oxidation behavior of Fe-14Cr ODS steel is confirmed to be dominated by changes in the $Cr_2O_3$ layer and generation of Fe-based oxides through evaporation.

  • The microstructure and mechanical properties of hot-pressed $Al_2O_3/Cu$ composites with a different sintering temperature have been studied. The size of matrix grain and Cu dispersion in composites increased with increase in sintering temperature. Fracture toughness of the composite sintered at high temperature exhibited an enhanced value. The toughness increase was explained by the thermal residual stress, crack bridging and crack branching by the formation of microcrack. The nanocomposite, hot-pressed at $1450^{\circ}C$, showed the maximum fracture strength of 707 MPa. The strengthening was mainly attributed to the refinement of matrix grains and the increased toughness.

미세 Si 입자를 고려한 Al-1%Si 본딩 와이어의 신선공정해석 (FE-simulation of Drawing Process for Al-1%Si Bonding Wire Considering Fine Si Particle)

  • Drawing process of Al-1%Si bonding wire considering fine Si particle is analyzed in this study using FE-simulation. Al-1%Si boding wire requires electric conductivity because Al-1%Si bonding wire is used for interconnection in semiconductor device. About 1% of Si is added to Al wire for dispersion-strengthening. Distribution and shape of fine Si particle have strongly influence on the wire drawing process. In this study, therefore, the finite-element model based on the observation of wire by continuous casting is used to analyze the effect of various parameters, such as the reduction in area, the semi-die angle, the aspect ratio, the inter-particle spacing and orientation angle of the fine Si particle on wire drawing processes. The effect of each parameter on the wire drawing process is investigated from the aspect of ductility and defects of wire. From the results of the analysis, it is possible to obtain the important basic data which can be guaranteed in the fracture prevention of Al-1 %Si wire.

연안이용 및 개발에 따른 수산자원관리 실효성 제고를 위한 협의제도 개선방안 (Improvement of the Consultation Systems Governing Fishery Resource Management in the Development of Coastal Areas)

  • This paper proposes revisions in the law governing assessments of the environmental impact of marine projects. In particular, we suggest strengthening the consultative role of the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MIFAFF), the agency responsible for regulating coastal area utilization and development, in order to improve the system by which fishery resources are managed, thus preventing negative environmental impact. Moreover, such an improved impact assessment statement would include reasonable evaluations of the dispersion of pollutants, such as the suspended solids generated by construction projects, as well as of the dredging, dumping and sand mining involved in coastal area reclamation. Thus, public confidence in the latter would be increased by the development and implementation of standardized and consistent guidelines addressing environmental research, simulation processes and evaluations of data.

분말고속도공구강의 미끄럼 마모특성에 미치는 열처리조건의 영향 (The Effects of Heat-treating Conditions on Wear Characteristics of High Speed Steel by Powder Metallurgy)

  • The effects of added elements, such as Co or Nb, on wear properties of high speed steel by powder metaliurgy(PM-HSS) had been eluminated in auther's previous paper. In addition, it is generally known that the wear properties of materials have been influenced by heat-treating conditions as well. Therefore, a study has been done to clarify the effects of heat-treating conditions on wear properties of PM-HSS. The wear tests have been performed under the same conditions as the previous paper using heat-treated PM-HSS(5%Co-1%Nb) with different quenching and tempering temperatures. The result of this paper shows that wear resistance of PM-HSS is improved with relatively high quenching temperature. However, tempering temperature is not sensitive to the wear resistance in the range of high quenching temperature. It may be deduced by the fact that the shear strength of matrix by strengthening mechanisms due to not only the quenching aging but also dispersion-hardening is improved.
