Counter Fire Operations can be characterized as having a system of systems that key features include situational awareness, command and control systems and highly responsive strike achieved by precision weapons. Current modeling methodology cannot provide an appropriate methodology for a system of systems and utilizes modeling and simulation tools to implement analytic options which can be time consuming and expensive. We explain developing methodology and tools for the effectiveness analysis of the counter fire operations under Network Centric Warfare Environment and suggest how to support a efficient decision making with the methodology and tools. Theater Counter Fire Operations tools consist of Enemy block, ISR block, C2 block and Shooter block. For the convenience of using by domain expert or non simulation expert, it is composed of the environments that each parameter and algorithm easily can be altered by user.

The many studies have been proceeding to express accurately the feature of a sudden signal and a uncertain system in the image processing field. It is well know that Fourier Transform is widely used for frequency analysis of any signal. However, The frequency transform domain is not used for expressing the sudden signal change and non-stationary signal at the time-axis by this method. This paper describes of image analysis by discrete wavelet transform. Wavelet modulus maxima on transformed plane gives the Lipschitz exponent expression, which is useful to examine the characteristics of signal or the edge of an image. It is possible to reconstruct the original image only using the few maxima points. The fractal analysis is applied as an examples. The visualized image of oil flow on a ship model is analyzed. The fractal variable is obtained by the maxima analysis and the good results on the exprement is obtained by the visualized image analysis.

In this paper we propose a fractal analysis based on the discrete wavelet transform. It is well known that Fourier Transform is widely used for frequency analysis of random signal. However, the frequency domain is not used for expressing the sudden signal change and non-stationary signal at the time-axis by this method. Maximum value in the wavelet modules can be expressed by the Lipschitz exponent, which is useful to represent the characteristics of signal or the edge of an image. It is possible to reconstruct the original image only by using the few maximum points. The v possible image It iusing oil was acquired to interpret the maximum value. ufter that, it was applied to the v possible image of a ship model. In addition, the fractal dimens by by the conlapse process of the sediment particle was examined. In this paper, the fractal dimens by has been obtained by the maximum value and the experiment obtained from the visualized image also acquired the same result as existing methods.
This paper proposes a lightweight deep learning network for detecting an image splicing forgery. The research on image forgery detection using CNN, a deep learning network, and research on detecting and localizing forgery in pixel units are in progress. Among them, CAT-Net, which learns the discrete cosine transform coefficients of images together with images, was released in 2022. The DCT coefficients presented by CAT-Net are combined with the JPEG artifact learning module and the backbone model as pre-learning, and the weights are fixed. The dataset used for pre-training is not included in the public dataset, and the backbone model has a relatively large number of network parameters, which causes overfitting in a small dataset, hindering generalization performance. In this paper, this learning module is designed to learn the characterization depending on the DCT domain in real-time during network training without pre-training. The DCT RRU-Net proposed in this paper is a network that combines RRU-Net which detects forgery by learning only images and JPEG artifact learning module. It is confirmed that the network parameters are less than those of CAT-Net, the detection performance of forgery is better than that of RRU-Net, and the generalization performance for various datasets improves through the network architecture and training method of DCT RRU-Net.

Kirchhoff-Love plate (KLP) equation is a well established theory for a description of a deformation of a thin plate under certain outer source. Meanwhile, analysis of a vibrating plate in a frequency domain is important in terms of obtaining the main frequency/eigenfunctions and predicting the vibration of plate. Among various modal analysis methods, dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) is one of the efficient data-driven methods. In this work, we carry out DMD based modal analysis for KLP where thin plate is under effects of sine-type outer force. We first construct discrete time series of KLP solutions based on a finite difference method (FDM). Over 720,000 number of FDM-generated solutions, we select only 500 number of solutions for the DMD implementation. We report the resulting DMD-modes for KLP. Also, we show how DMD can be used to predict KLP solutions in an efficient way.

In this paper, the peformance of a statistical packet voice/data multiplexer is studied. In ths study we assume that in the packet voice/data multiplexer two separate finite queues are used for voice and data traffics, and that voice traffic gets priority over data. For the performance analysis we divide the output link of the multiplexer into a sequence of time slots. The voice signal is modeled as an (M+1) - state Markov process, M being the packet generation period in slots. As for the data traffic, it is modeled by a simple Poisson process. In our discrete time domain analysis, the queueing behavior of voice traffic is little affected by the data traffic since voice signal has priority over data. Therefore, we first analyze the queueing behavior of voice traffic, and then using the result, we study the queueing behavior of data traffic. For the packet voice multiplexer, both inpur state and voice buffer occupancy are formulated by a two-dimensional Markov chain. For the integrated voice/data multiplexer we use a three-dimensional Markov chain that represents the input voice state and the buffer occupancies of voice and data. With these models, the numerical results for the performance have been obtained by the Gauss-Seidel iteration method. The analytical results have been verified by computer simylation. From the results we have found that there exist tradeoffs among the number of voice users, output link capacity, voic queue size and overflow probability for the voice traffic, and also exist tradeoffs among traffic load, data queue size and oveflow probability for the data traffic. Also, there exists a tradeoff between the performance of voice and data traffics for given inpur traffics and link capacity. In addition, it has been found that the average queueing delay of data traffic is longer than the maximum buffer size, when the gain of time assignment speech interpolation(TASI) is more than two and the number of voice users is small.
Advances in computer technology have enabled us to develop and use numerical landscape evolution models (NLEMs) for exploring the dynamics of geomorphic system from a variety of viewpoints which previously could have not been taken. However, as of yet there have been no trials using or developing NLEMs in Korea. The purpose of this research is to develop a 2 dimensional NLEM on a geological time scale and evaluate its usefulness. The newly developed NLEM (ND-NLEM) treats bedrock weathering as one of the major geomorphic processes and attempts to simulate the thickness of soil. As such it is possible to model the weathering-limited as well as the transport-limited environment on hillslopes. Moreover the ND-NLEM includes not only slow and continuous mass transport like soil creep, but also rapid and discrete mass transport like landslides. Bedrock incision is simulated in the ND-NLEM where fluvial transport capacity is large enough to move all channel bed loads, such that ND-NLEM can model the detachment-limited environment. Furthermore the ND-NLEM adopts the D-infinity algorithm when routing flows in the model domain, so it reduces distortion due to the use of the steepest descent slope flow direction algorithm. In the experiments to evaluate the usefulness of the ND-NLEM, characteristics of the channel network observed from the model results were similar to those of the case study area for comparison, and the hypsometry curve log during the experiment showed rational evidence of landscape evolution. Therefore, the ND-NLEM is shown to be useful for simulating landscape evolution on a geological time scale.

In this paper, a blind watermarking method which is suitable to the video compression using 2-D discrete wavelet transform was proposed and implemented into the hardware using VHDL(VHSIC Hardware Description Language). The goal of the proposed watermarking algorithm is the authentication about the manipulation of the watermark embedded image and the detection of the error positions. Considering the compressed video image, the proposed watermarking scheme is unrelated to the quantization and is able to concurrently embed or extract the watermark. We experimentally verified that the lowest frequency subband(LL4) is not sensitive to the change in the spatial domain, so LL4 subband was selected for the mark space. And the combination of the bitplanes which has the properties of both the minimum degradation of the image and the robustness was chosen as the embedded Point in the mark space in LL4 subband. Since we know the watermark embedded positions and the watermark is embedded by not varying the value but changing the value, the watermark can be extracted without the original image. Also, for the security when exposing the watermark embedded position, we embed the encrypted watermark by the block cipher. The proposed watermark algorithm shows the robustness against the general image manipulation and is easily transplanted into the image or video compressor with the minimal changing in the structure. The designed hardware has 4037 LABs(24%) and 85 ESBs(3%) in APEX20KC EP20K400CF672C7 FPGA of Altera and stably operates in 82MHz clock frequency.

Recent investigation into the integrity of nuclear containment buildings has highlighted the importance of developing an elaborate diagnostic method to evaluate the distribution and size of cavities inside concrete walls. As part of developing such a method, this paper presents a finite element approach to modeling elastic waves propagating in the containment building walls of a nuclear power plant. We introduce a perfectly matched layer (PML) wave-absorbing boundary to limit the large-scale nuclear containment wall to the region of interest. The formulation results in a semi-discrete form with symmetric damping and stiffness matrices. The transient elastic wave equations for a mixed unsplit-field PML were solved for displacement and stresses in the time domain. Numerical results show that the sensitivity of displacement, velocity, acceleration, and stresses is large depending on the size and location of the cavity. The dynamic response of the wall slightly differs depending on the existence of the containment liner plate. The results of this study can be applied to a full-waveform inversion approach for characterizing cavities inside a containment wall.

As the usage of image/video contents increase, a security problem for the payed image data or the ones requiring confidentiality is raised. This paper proposed an image encryption methodology to hide the image information. The target data of it is the result from quantization in wavelet domain. This method encrypts only part of the image data rather than the whole data of the original image, in which three types of data selection methodologies were involved. First, by using the fact that the wavelet transform decomposes the original image into frequency sub-bands, only some of the frequency sub-bands were included in encryption to make the resulting image unrecognizable. In the data to represent each pixel, only MSBs were taken for encryption. Finally, pixels to be encrypted in a specific sub-band were selected randomly by using LFSR(Linear Feedback Shift Register). Part of the key for encryption was used for the seed value of LFSR and in selecting the parallel output bits of the LFSR for random selection so that the strength of encryption algorithm increased. The experiments have been performed with the proposed methods implemented in software for about 500 images, from which the result showed that only about 1/1000 amount of data to the original image can obtain the encryption effect not to recognize the original image. Consequently, we are sure that the proposed are efficient image encryption methods to acquire the high encryption effect with small amount of encryption. Also, in this paper, several encryption scheme according to the selection of the sub-bands and the number of bits from LFSR outputs for pixel selection have been proposed, and it has been shown that there exits a relation of trade-off between the execution time and the effect of the encryption. It means that the proposed methods can be selectively used according to the application areas. Also, because the proposed methods are performed in the application layer, they are expected to be a good solution for the end-to-end security problem, which is appearing as one of the important problems in the networks with both wired and wireless sections.
