도로터널용 전기집진시스템 개발 (Development of Road Tunnel Ventilation System with Electrostatic Precipitator)

  • As SOC (Social Overhead Capital) has been expanded, the highway road construction has been accelerated and city road system has been more complicated. So, long road tunnels have been increased and traffic flow rate also has been raised. Accordingly, the exhausting gas of vehicle cars seriously deteriorates the tunnel inside air quality and driving view. In order to improve tunnel inside air quality, we may need to introduce a compulsory ventilation system as well as natural ventilation mechanism. The natural ventilation mechanism is enough for short tunnels, meanwhile longer tunnels require a specific compulsory ventilation facility. Many foreign countries already have been devoting on development of effective tunnel ventilation system and especially, some European nations and Japan have already applied their developed tunnel ventilation system for longer road tunnels. More recently, as the quality of life improved, our concerns about safety of driving and better driving environment have been increased. In order to obtain clearer and longer driving view, we are more interested in EP tunnel ventilation system in order to remove floating contaminants and automobile exhaust gas. Evan though it's been a long time since many European countries and Japan applied more economical and environment-friendly tunnel ventilation system with their self-developed Electrostatic Precipitator, we are still dependant on imported system from foreign nations. Therefore, we need to develop our unique technical know-how for optimum design tools through validity investigation and continuous possibility examination, eventually in order to localize the tunnel ventilation system technology. In this project, we will manufacture test-run products to examine the performance of system in order to develop main parts of tunnel ventilation system such as electrostatic precipitator, high voltage power generator, water treatment system, etc.

Unusual Tc-99m MDP Uptake in the Keloid Developed after Subtotal Gastrectomy

  • A 63-year-old male who had subtotal gastrectomy for early gastric cancer three months ago underwent Tc-99m bone scintigraphy for the evaluation of skeletal metastases. He had no symptoms such as fever, tenderness, or wound discharge. On physical examination, the surgical scat along the midline of the upper abdomen had keloid formation and there was no radiographic evidence of calcification. Bone scintigraphy (Fig. 1A & 1B) demonstrated all unusual linear increased uptake along the midline of the upper abdomen that corresponded to the,skin incision for subtotal gastrectomy. Usually, an incisional scar will not be visualized in Tc-99m methylene diphosphate (MDP) scintigraphy beyond two weeks after surgery.$^{1)}$ Upon reviewing the literature, there were only a few reports where localization of Tc-99m MDP in surgical scars were found two months after surgery.$^{2)}$ It was also reported that a few cases with Tc-99m MDP uptake in the keloid scar developed after surgery. Although there are several potential mechanisms that may explain the uptake of Tc-99m MDP in scar tissue, the primary mechanism in older scars is suggested to be a result of pathological calcification.$^{2)}$ Siddiqui et al$^{3)}$ suggested it could be due to microscopic calcification in small resolving hematomas. However, the primary mechanism in keloid scar is not well-known. We should obtain oblique or lateral views to differentiate the uptake in healing surgical scars from the artifactual uptake.

지반침하 메커니즘 분석 및 평가 프로그램 개발 (Analysis of Subsidence Mechanism and Development of Evaluation Program)

  • 지하채굴적의 함몰, 지하수의 무분별한 양수, 연약지반의 압밀 및 얕은 심도에서의 지하굴착 등의 원인으로 기인하는 지반침하는 국가 기간망에 심각한 안전문제를 야기하고 있다. 특히 인구밀집 지역에서는 가옥 및 기타 시설물의 붕괴요인으로 작용함에 따라 국민의 생활권을 위협하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지반침하가 발생한 이후 조사와 보강작업이 실시되는 기존의 수동적인 접근법을 탈피하고 지반침하를 예측하여 피해발생을 최소화하기 위해 사례분석을 통해 국내 지질조건에 부합하는 지반침하의 메커니즘을 규명하였으며, 지반침하에 영향을 미치는 제반 요인들을 수치해석적으로 분석하였다. 또한 이를 통해 각 요인들의 가중치를 점검, 합리적인 판단 기준을 제시코자 하였으며, 지반침하 발생여부를 파악할 수 있는 프로그램을 제작하여 이러한 가중치를 접목시킴으로써 지반침하 발생가능성에 대한 객관적인 판단과 정량적인 기준을 제시할 수 있도록 하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해, 지질학적 분포 현황과 같은 자연적인 조건과 지하채굴적 및 양수 현황 등과 같은 인공적인 조건들을 결부시켜 추후 전 국토에 대한 지반침하 재해 위험지도를 작성함으로써 지반침하 발생 가능성을 억제하고 그 피해규모를 최소화할 수 있는 근간을 마련하였다.

제주지역 고농도 biomass 활용 시스템 제안 (The Proposal for High-concentrated Biomass Utilization System in Jeju)

  • 본 논문에서는 제주지역에서 발생하는 주요 biomass에 대한 통합관리 및 자원순환체계에 대하여 검토하였다. 제주지역에서 발생하고 있는 주요 biomass는 슬러지가 년간 10,818톤, 음식물쓰레기가 61,284톤, 가축분뇨 1,519,000톤으로 발생하고 있으며, 슬러지의 경우에는 해양배출, 음식물쓰레기는 자원화, 축산분뇨는 발생원에서 처리되어 액비 등의 형태로 재활용되고 있다. Biomass자원의 순환관리 체계를 구축할 수 있는 방안으로는, 일본 오이타현 Hita-city에서 적용하고 있는 biomass town을 조성하고 관리하는 체계를 도입함이 적합한 사례라고 사료되었으며, 자원화체계를 구축하는 모델을 설정하여 경제성을 검토한 결과 시설규모에 차이가 있으나, 4년 이내 흑자로 전환되어 경제성이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 제주지역의 Biomass자원의 순환관리 체계 구축에 있어서, 우선적으로 가축분뇨가 고려되어야하는 것으로 판단되어, 본 연구에서는 가축분뇨처리에 대한 문제점과 향후 과제에 대해서 제시하였다.

플라즈마 처리한 고분자 복합재료의 표면특성변화 (Surface static properties in polymer hybrid material after plasma treatment)

  • 본 연구는 플라즈마 처리한 고분자 복합재료 표면의 접촉각, X-선광전자분광법(XPS) 및 코로나 대전에 의한 표면 정전특성을 분석하여 발생된 화학적 변화와 정전적 특성 변화를 고찰하여 열화 메커니즘을 도출하였다. 플라즈마 처리된 시료의 접촉각 및 표면전위는 표면에 카르복실기 라디칼을 포함하는 다량의 측쇄화가 집중적으로 발생되어 처리시간에 따라 급격한 친수화가 진행되었다. 플라즈마 처리로 인한 화학적 변화에서 표면에 carboxyl 라디칼이 주로 형성되면서 급격히 표면 친수화로 변화하였다. 정전변화를 분석한 전위감쇠 결과에서 미처리 시료는 부극성 표면을 나타내었으나, 친수화 표면은 carboxyl 라디칼(-COO*)을 포함하는 정극성 라디칼로 인해 정극성 표면으로 변화하여 부극성 전하가 빠르게 감소하였다.

지오셀의 형상에 따른 수평투수계수 산정에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study for Determination of Horizontal Permeability with considering various Geocell Shapes)

  • Recently, it is difficult to find a good soil ground due to the shortage of land for new construction site. Because of this situation, the geosynthetics are commonly used for reinforcing the substructure of the soil ground, and hence improving the bearing capacity and reducing the settlement. The geocell is one of geosynthetics and is the advanced system of geogrid. It is the way to increase earth strength and bearing capacity by using three dimension type of geocomposite. In this paper, the Horizontal permeability was determined with considering various geocell shapes. The permeability test was performed by following method of ASTM D4716(87) and potential filling material for geocell was used. The bearing capacity mechanism which enhances the soil ground with evenly maintaining the degree of the compaction was also analyzed for geocell reinforced ground.

반응성 염료를 이용한 양모직물의 광그라프트 염색 (Photo-grafting Dyeing of Wool Fabrics with ${\alpha}$-bromoacrylamide reactive dye)

  • Lanasol dyes containing ${\alpha}$-bromoacrylamide or ${\alpha},{\beta}$-dibromopropionylamide group are used for wool dyeing. They are normally applied to wool under pH 4.5 to 6.5 at $100^{\circ}C$. Although wool fabric can be dyed to obtain deep colour, high light and wet fastness, the dyeing processes need long dyeing time at high temperature, with salt addition, which inevitably causes environmental problems. Grafting is a modification method for textile where monomers are covalently bonded onto the polymer chain. It can be initiated by ozone, ${\gamma}$ rays, electron beams, plasma, corona discharge and UV irradiation. Coloration by UV-induced photografting exhibits several advantages such as fast reaction rate, energy saving, simple equipment, easy exploitation and environmentally friendliness. Also it requires much lower energy compared to the conventional dyeing and less damage to the substrate. In this study, a direct sequential UV-induced photografting onto wool fabrics was discussed. To understand the graft polymerization mechanism further, several characterization methods were used. Moreover, the effects of several principal factors on the graft photopolymerization were investigated. Furthermore, the colorfastness results were compared with conventional dyeing methods.

Au/Au-Sn 이종접합 적용 레이저 패키징을 통한 Vapor Cell 신뢰성 연구 (Study on Reliability of Vapor Cell by Laser Packaging with Au/Au-Sn Heterojunction)

  • As packaging processes for atomic gyroscope vapor cells, the glass tube tip-off process, anodic bonding, and paste sealing have been widely studied. However, there are stability issues in the alkali metal which are caused by impurity elements and leakage during high-temperature processes. In this study, we investigated the applicability of a vapor cell low-temperature packaging process by depositing Au on a Pyrex cell in addition to forming an Au-Sn thin film on a cap to cover the cell, followed by laser irradiation of the Au/Au-Sn interface. The mechanism of the thin film bonding was evaluated by XRD, while the packaging reliability of an Ne gas-filled vapor cell was characterized by variation of plasma discharge behavior with time. Furthermore, we confirmed that the Rb alkaline metal inside the vapor cell showed no color change, indicating no oxidation occurred during the process.

  • This paper deals with the dielectric behaviors of $SF_6$ gas and prebreakdown growth caused by lightning impulse voltages In inhomogeneous field perturbed with a fixed needle-shaped protrusion on the electrode. The measuring interpretation of the external current induced by moving charges is described. The temporal growth of prebreakdown is observed by using a shunt and photomultiplier. The prebreakdown processes are initiated by the first streamer corona at a needle protrusion, the flashover of the main gap in the positive polarity is very sensitive to the local field and propagates into the gap with the leader mechanism. It Is found that the dependence of the prebreakdown phenomena on the polarity of applied voltages is caused by the effect of space charges. In addition, the proposed measuring techniques are very useful to perform the measurements of avalanche currents, corona discharges in inhomogeneous fields and partial discharges in voids.

Modification of DC Flashover Voltage at High Altitude on the Basis of Molecular Gas Dynamics

  • The effect of altitude on thermal conduction, surface temperature, and thermal radiation of partial arc was investigated on the basis of molecular gas dynamics to facilitate a deep understanding of the pollution surface discharge mechanism. The DC flashover model was consequently modified at high altitude. The validity of the modified DC flashover model proposed in this paper was proven through a comparison with the results of high-altitude simulation experiments and earlier models. Moreover, the modified model was found to be better than the earlier modified models in terms of forecasting the flashover voltage. Findings indicated that both the thermal conduction coefficient and the surface thermodynamics temperature of partial arc had a linear decrease tendency with the altitude increasing from 0 m to 3000 m, both of which dropped by approximately 30% and 3.6%, respectively. Meanwhile, the heat conduction and the heat radiation of partial arc both had a similar linear decrease of approximately 15%. The maximum error of DC pollution flashover voltage between the calculation value according to the modified model and the experimental value was within 6.6%, and the pollution flashover voltage exhibited a parabola downtrend with increasing of pollution.
