It used DFS (Disability Factor Scale) developed by Siller (1967) and revised and complemented by Lee Jong Nam (1997) after validity and reliability test. Data collected were analyzed with technical statistics, t-test and ANOVA using SPSS/ PC 12.0 Results: The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1. On the question that there are the disabled around the subjects, 74.7% of the respondents answered 'none', and on the question of having concerns on the disabled problems, 61.5% of the respondents answered 'they have no concerns on them'. In addition, on the question of effective methods for improving a negative awareness of the disabled, many of subjects responded the governmental support must be a priority. 2. The subjects' attitude to the disabled scored average 3.13 and they have positive attitude to the disabled. In six sub-areas of attitude to the disabled, tension in contact with the disabled scored 2.90, inferred emotional disorder 2.79, unconditional repulsion 2.78, refusal to friendly relation 2.74, limitation of other functions undamaged 2.66 and distorted identification 2.65. 3. Variable showing a significant difference in the results of analysis according to general characteristics of subjects was age and those who are over '21' showed more positive attitude to the disabled than those who are below '20'. 4. In the results of analysis according to the subjects' disability related characteristics, those who have the disabled in their friends or family and have concerns on the disabled problems have a positive attitude to the disabled. Promotion and education through mass communication for changing the awareness of the disabled into a positive attitude will be most effective. Conclusion: Consequently, positive attitude of EMT student's to the disabled can be fostered by continuous contact with the disabled and their participation in voluntary services in the dimension of individual or school will be important and also the various practical methods such as enlightenment movement and supply of right information through mass communication should be sought.

  • In this paper, we propose an effective software education program to promote employment of the disabled and verify the effectiveness of SW education through pilot operation. In this SW education program, we develop a SW curriculum consisting of the basic course, Unity programming course, and the advanced course, AR/VR digital content development course. The SW education achievement standard develops the basic and advanced course achievement standards in consideration of the level of the virtual reality content production job of the National Competency Standards(NCS) and the SW education achievement standards of youth with visual, hearing, and physical disabilities. SW education materials are developed on a project basis so that one AR/VR digital content can be implemented step by step according to the intellectual level of the disabled based on Unity. SW education pilot training is conducted as online education based on Blended Learning due to COVID-19. In order to derive the SW education effect and each learner's individual SW education academic achievement for the SW education pilot training, a survey is conducted on learners, and the results are analyzed. In the basic course, 77.3% of learners achieved academic achievement above excellent(80-90), and in the advanced course, 48.8% of learners achieved academic achievement above excellent(80-90). These results verify that the SW education program for the disabled developed in this paper is effective in activating employment for the disabled.

  • This paper analyzes the quality of library services for disabled by studying the service of national public libraries and libraries for the disabled. The sample consists of 768 public libraries and 36 libraries for the disabled. The evaluation criteria is composed of six areas: general, amenities, substitute data, complementary device, source/information service, and culture program. The findings show various deviations depending on the library operator, contents and region. The research also shows that the service quality for the disabled is higher in libraries with specialized worker for this type of library services.

  • This study was conducted to develop a health education program to help mother's cope with developmentally disabled children's health, and to test the effects of the program. The contents of the health education program were based on the results of a discussion with experts and previous studies. The program consisted of two parts, physical health and psychosocial health, which were measured over 4 weeks. The results of the study showed that the program helped mothers improve the level of health care and reduce parenting stress level. These findings suggest that studies for handicapped children's health should be conducted in the future using an interdisciplinary approach.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of a physical activity program on the physical fitness in persons with intellectual disabilities. Methods: The study design was an equivalent control group pre-post test. The treatment group received ths physical activity program five times per week for 20 weeks. Data were collected from the treatment group at two time points: Week 1 and Week 20 following the initiation of the treatment protocol. Data were collected from the control group at the ends of week 1 and Week 20. Data analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS v.21.0 software program. Results: The experimental group showed a significant reduction of physical fitness: basic of physical fitness (t=-2.07, p=.041), flexibility (t=2.25, p=.027), muscular strength (t=2.70, p=.009), agility (t=-3.35, p=.001), except for sense of balance (t=-0.91, p=.368), while control group showed no change in these variables. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that the physical activity program has proved to be a stable and physically active intervention program for physical activity in intellectually disabled persons.

  • Purpose: This study has proved the intervention effects of the proposed logotherapy-based music imagery (LBMI) program on the self-worth of the personal assistants for the disabled. The program, in the image activities and at the stage of postlude after listening to music, unites logodrama of logotherapy, paradoxical intention and dereflected techniques. The intervention effects of the LBMI program were tested for the 28 personal assistants for the disabled who found themselves without the value and meaning of life and were randomly equally divided into the experimental and control groups. This intervention was carried out for the six different terms, each of which was alloted 60 minutes. To evaluate the intervention effects, the self-worth scale were examined before and after the intervention for both experimental and control group. The result shows that the self-worth improved significantly in the experimental group(p < 0.001), whereas it remained unchanged in the control group(p > 0.459). This finding proves that the proposed LBMI program ameliorates the self-worth of the personal assistants for the disabled.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect solution-focused brief group therapy program on a relationship between developmental disorder children and their parents. The following research question is formulated to address the purpose: (1) Does solution-focused brief group therapy program will improve interaction on parents's "warmth" and "involvement"? (2) Does solution-focused brief group therapy program will improve interaction on child's overall action and relative behavior? (3) Does solution-focused brief group therapy program will improve relationship between the developmental disorder children and their parents? For research, 12 disabled children and their parents are assigned into two groups: Experimental and Control group. Findings are that. (1) The solution-focused brief group therapy program showed positive reaction on "parent's warm heart" but there was no reaction on "involvement". (2) The solution-focused brief group therapy program affect on interaction types of the disabled children. 3) According to self-recorded report, the parents' satisfaction of consultation has been increased by frequency. These results showing that the solution-focused brief group therapy are affected the interaction between developmental disorder and their own parents. Clinically, this outcome shows a significant practical implications on social work intervention.

  • It is one of the important processes to predict the resistance of the towed ship when towing a disabled ship on the sea. Besides the basic resistance of hull itself, there are various added resistance, especially the added resistance due to waves can be considered one of the biggest component. In this paper, the algorithm which predict the added resistance due to waves of a disabled ship by theoretical analysis method of ISO 15016 standard was established, and realized as a computer program. The calculated result for an example ship was compared with existing standard one, and it is considered that this algorithm and computer program are appropriate to use for predicting the resistance and towing force of the disabled ship actually.
