차량 안정성 평가의 객관화를 위한 과도 운동 분석 (Analysis of Transient Maneuvers for Objectifying Evaluation of Vehicle Stability)

  • Directional stability is important performance in vehicle and tire design. The current methods to analyze this is generally based on linear concept. Using the existing concept, it cannot realistically explain the subjective assessment at all because it is hard to practically represent the nonlinear behaviour of a complex vehicle system in reality. In this paper, new method to analyze directional stability is introduced. At first, directional stability of vehicle is categorized into yaw, rear axle, and roll stability. In order to objectify these items, driver perceptual parameters based on subjective assessment are used. Using the perceptual parameters, it can successfully explain the transient maneuver of vehicle and extract objective parameters for directional stability. Finally, these objective parameters are successfully validated through two handling tests, lane change and severe lane change. The correlation results show that there exists a good correlation between subjective assessment and the proposed objective parameters.

  • The T-50 advanced trainer aircraft combines advanced aerodynamic features and a fly-by-wire flight control system in order to produce a stability and highly maneuverability. The flight control system both longitudinal and lateral-directional axes to achieve performance enhancements and improve stability. The T-50 employs the RSS concept in order to improve the aerodynamic performance in longitudinal axis and the longitudinal control laws employ the dynamic inversion with proportional-plus-integral control method. And, lateral-directional control laws employ the blended roll system both beta-betadot feedback and simple roll rate feedback with proportional control method in order to guarantee aircraft stability. This paper details the design process of developing lateral-directional control laws, utilizing the requirement of MIL-F-8785C and MIL-F-9490D. And, this paper propose the analysis of aircraft characteristics such as dutch-roll mode, roll mode, spiral mode, gain and phase margin about gains for lateral-directional inner loop feedback.

  • The bi-directional high pile load test(BDH PLT) does not have weaknesses found in the existing bi-directional low pile load test(BDL PLT); it has strong economics, is unbound by load capacity limit and secures quality stability of working piles. In this study, Verification the field found a very high capacity level of stability and reliability of the BDH PLT, as well as outstanding field applicability. Field verifications reaffirmed the advantage of the BDH PLT device, which was capable of loading 90 MN capacities as maximum. It was also found to be durable enough to load high capacity with ease.

  • This paper propose an advanced control strategy to improve vehicle handling and directional stability by integrating Active Front Steering(AFS) with Electronic Stability Program(ESP) . The effect of the integrated control system on the vehicle handling characteristics and directional stability is studied through a close loop computer simulation of and eight degree of freedom nonlinear vehicle model and driver model. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control system and the overall improvements in vehicle handling and directional stability

Multi-Finger 3D Landmark Detection using Bi-Directional Hierarchical Regression

  • Purpose In this paper we proposed bi-directional hierarchical regression for accurate human finger landmark detection with only using depth information.Materials and Methods Our algorithm consisted of two different step, initialization and landmark estimation. To detect initial landmark, we used difference of random pixel pair as the feature descriptor. After initialization, 16 landmarks were estimated using cascaded regression methods. To improve accuracy and stability, we proposed bi-directional hierarchical structure.Results In our experiments, the ICVL database were used for evaluation. According to our experimental results, accuracy and stability increased when applying bi-directional hierarchical regression more than typical method on the test set. Especially, errors of each finger tips of hierarchical case significantly decreased more than other methods.Conclusion Our results proved that our proposed method improved accuracy and stability and also could be applied to a large range of applications such as augmented reality and simulation surgery.

토우 궤적 변화에 의한 미니 버스 차량의 방향 안정성 연구 (A Study on the Effect of the Toe Geometry on the Directional Stability of Mini-bus Vehicle)

  • In this paper, We discuss the directional stability of a Mini-bus with varying suspension design parameters. We analyzed the vehicle behavior during the cornering in a transient steering condition. We made a vehicle model by use of DADS, which is dynamic analysis software, in order to carry out many cases of simulation with varying design parameters. The effect of toe-geometry change to vehicle stability is evaluated by computer simulation and the actual test. In order to reduce the under steer characteristics of a mini-bus, the amount of toe geometry change should be less than current value.

고 받음각에서의 방향 안정성 향상을 위한 Chine 형상 최적설계 (Chine Shape Optimization for Directional Stability at High Angle of Attack)

  • 고 받음각에서의 방향 안정성 향상을 위한 chine 형상 최적화를 수행하였다. Super ellipse equation을 통하여 다양한 형태의 chine 형상을 생성하고, 3차원 Navier-Stokes 방정식을 이용하여 방향안정성 및 고받음각에서의 공력 특성을 분석하였으며, 가장 높은 방향 안정성을 갖는 형상을 기본형상으로 선정하였다. 파리미터를 이용한 기본형상의 곡면 변형을 통하여 높은 방향 안정성 및 양항비를 동시에 만족하는 최적형상 도출을 위하여, 반응면을 구성하고 가중치를 도입하고 양항비를 구속조건으로 하는 방향안정성 최적화 문제를 수행하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 고받음각에서 chine형상의 공력특성을 파악하여 강한 와류를 발생시키는 chine 형상이 방향안정성에 도움이 된다는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 최적화를 통해 기본형상보다 방향안정성이 약 29% 향상되는 결과를 얻었다. 또한 파라미터 기반 형상 생성기법과 근사최적화 기법의 연동을 이용한 형상최적설계 과정을 초음속, 고받음각 유동의 chine 형상설계에 적용하여 그 효율성을 확인하였다.

  • In the analysis of metal forming processes by the finite element method, there are many numerical instabilities such as element locking, hourglass mode and shear locking. These instabilities may have a bad effect upon accuracy and convergence. The present work is concerned with improvement of stability and efficiency in two-dimensional rigid-plastic finite element method using various type of elemenmts and numerical intergration schemes. As metal forming examples, upsetting and backward extrusion are taken for comparison among the methods: various element types and numerical integration schemes. Comparison is made in terms of stability and efficiency in element behavior and computational efficiency and a new scheme of adaptive directional reduced integration is introduced. As a result, the finite element computation has been stabilized from the viewpoint of computational time, convergency, and numerical instability.

강제조화운동을 이용한 SDM의 세로 및 방향 안정성 미계수 예측 (Prediction of Longitudinal and Directional Stability Derivatives for the SDM using Forced Harmonic Oscillation)

  • 본 논문에서는 SDM 형상의 세로와 방향의 안정성 미계수를 예측하였다. 피치와 요 방향에 대한 강제조화 진동운동을 이용하여 정적 및 동적 미계수를 한 번에 계산하였다. 계산은 비정상 해석을 위한 이중시간 적분법을 적용한 3차원 Euler 해석자를 사용하여 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 마하수뿐만 아니라 다양한 운동 변수에 따른 미계수를 예측하였다. 예측된 결과는 이전에 발표된 수치적, 실험적 연구 결과들과 비교하여 검증하였다.

사석방파제의 안정성에 미치는 방향성효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Stability of Rubble Mound Structures by Wave Directionality)

  • 파랑에 관계하는 현상에는 월파, 표사이동, 구조물의 진동.동요, 파괴 등 방향성의 영향을 현저하게 받아들이는 것이 많다. 이들은 비선형성이 강하기 때문에 수치계산에 의한 해석이 곤란하므로, 수리모형실험으로 외력인자를 평가, 해석정도를 높일 필요성이 증대하고 있다. 본 연구는 파랑의 다양한 입사각에 따라 사석방파제의 안정성을 논의하였으며, 파괴율은 방향성규칙파에서 $30^{\circ}$, 방향성불규칙파인 경우는 40$^{\circ}$부근에서 입사각 $0^{\circ}$일 때 보다 상대적으로 크게 변동하였다. 즉, 사석방파제의 안정성에 미치는 방향성효과에 따른 것이라고 평가할 수 있다. 이들은 1/10 최대 합성유속의 방향별 빈도분포의 피크가 $20^{\circ}$~$40^{\circ}$에서 발생하는 사실과 부합된다.
