  • Complex modal testing method for rotating disks with support motion is introduced which handles the pairs of two point excitation and responses of the disk as complex input and output, respectively. This method utilizes the directivity information and the separation over the rotational speed of forward and backward traveling wave modes or bending coupled modes in the directional frequency response functions(dFRFs). This method synthesizes the normal/reverse dFRFs and complex wave dFRF, which were originally applied to rotating shaft and rotating disk, respectively, and is applied to complex system with dynamically coupled rotating disks and shaft. Experiments with a commercial hard disk drive spindle system demonstrate the validity of this method.

실내 아파트 환경에서의 통계적 UWB 채널 모델 (A Statistical Model for the Ultra-Wide Bandwidth Indoor Apartment Channel)

  • 본 논문에서는 실제 아파트 환경에서 2000번의 주파수 응답에 의한 통계적 UWB 실내 채널 모델을 연구하였다. 측정은 서로 다른 방, 서로 다른 위치에서 이루어 졌으며, 실험 결과를 통해 채널의 전파특성을 이론적으로 설명하였다. Time-domain상에서 측정할 수 있는 channel impulse response (CIR)와 frequency-domain상에서 측정할 수 있는 channel transfer function (CTF) 측정방법을 제안하였다. 측정데이터를 통해서 CIR과 CTF를 비교하여 분석하였고, 통계적 경로손실 모델 또한 제안하였다. 신호 대역은 10MHz에서 8.010Hz까지 사용하였다. 측정결과를 통해 time-domain상에서 확인할 수 있는 maximum excess delay, mean excess delay, ms delay spread를 나타내었다. 송신기와 수신기에는 전방향의 biconical 안테나를 사용하였다. 또한 제안된 아파트 환경에서의 채널 모델은 UMB용 안테나 특성이 포함된 결과이다.

상용 S/W를 이용한 소형가스터빈엔진 회전체의 동적 구조해석 및 검증 (Dynamic Analysis of the Small-size Gas Turbine Engine Rotor Using Commercial S/W and its Limitations)

  • The accurate prediction of dynamic characteristics of high speed rotors, such as gas turbines, is important to avoid the possibility of operating the machinery near the critical speeds or unstable speed regions. However, the dynamic analysis methods and softwares for gas turbines have been developed in the process of producing many gas turbines by manufacturers and most of them have seldom been disclosed to the public. Recently, commercial FEM softwares, such as SAMCEF, ANSYS and NASTRAN, started supporting some rotordynamics analysis modules based on 3-D finite elements. In this paper, the dynamic analysis method using commercial S/W, especially ANSYS, is attempted for the small-size gas turbine engine rotor, and the analysis capability and limitations of its rotordyamics module are evaluated for further improvement of the module. As the preliminary procedure, the rotordyamic analysis capability of ANSYS was tested and evaluated with the reference models of the well-known dynamics. The limitations in application of the rotordynamics module were then identified. Under the current capability and limitations of ANSYS, it is shown that Lee diagram, a new frequency-speed diagram enhanced with the concept of $H{\infty}$ in rotating machinery, can be indirectly obtained from FRFs computed from harmonic response analysis of ANSYS. Finally, it is demonstrated based on the modeling and analysis method developed in the process of the S/W verification that the conventional Campbell diagram, Lee diagram, mode shapes and critical speeds of the small-size gas turbine engine rotor can be computed using the ANSYS rotordynamics module.

실시간 관측정보를 이용한 이안류 경보체계 개선 연구: 발생정도 DB함수의 활용 (A modification of the rip current warning system utilizing real-time observations: a database function of likelihood distributions)

  • 이안류 안전사고 저감을 목적으로 운영되는 실시간 이안류 경보체계에서 위험지수를 생산하는 방법을 개선하는 연구를 수행하였다. 상기 체계는 실시간 관측정보를 기반으로 신속한 이안류 위험지수를 생산할 필요가 있기 때문에 사전 수치모의 결과(즉, 발생가능 시나리오에 따른 이안류 발생정도)를 이용한다. 본 연구에서는 기존 기법의 곡선적합 경험식을 사용하는 대신에, 다변수 함수인 이안류 발생정도를 2차원 분포(예, 파고-주기, 파고-조위, 파고-파향, 파고-주파수 스펙트럼 광협도, 파고-파향 스펙트럼 광협도)로 저장하여 사용하므로 이안류 위험지수 생산 기법을 개선하였다. 2021년에 운영된 해운대 파랑 관측자료와 부산조위소의 조위정보를 개선된 방법에 적용하였고, CCTV를 통해 확인된 몇 차례의 이안류 발생사건에 대하여 관측정보와 적용한 결과를 비교하여 제시하였다.
