소화기 발사음의 실시간 위치 추정 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Real Time Estimation System of Fire Sound Source Localization)

  • In this paper, the sound source localization system in real time which uses the time delay of arrival signal is proposed. This system uses minimum microphones and surveillance camera for estimation of the sound source localization and sound direction. To apply this system to the military field, four models(model1~model4) are derived. Model 1 can be used to evaluate the sound source localization at the long distance. Model2 and model3 can be applied to estimate the sound direction. Model4 is useful for the special purpose and potable device. It is possible for this system to be used for the military guard and surveillance. As a result of experiments, It is shown that this system can estimate the sound source localization and the sound direction using minimum microphones.

Design and Implementation of a Real-time Region Pointing System using Arm-Pointing Gesture Interface in a 3D Environment

  • In this paper, we propose a method to estimate pointing region in real-world from images of cameras. In general, arm-pointing gesture encodes a direction which extends from user's fingertip to target point. In the proposed work, we assume that the pointing ray can be approximated to a straight line which passes through user's face and fingertip. Therefore, the proposed method extracts two end points for the estimation of pointing direction; one from the user's face and another from the user's fingertip region. Then, the pointing direction and its target region are estimated based on the 2D-3D projective mapping between camera images and real-world scene. In order to demonstrate an application of the proposed method, we constructed an ICGS (interactive cinema guiding system) which employs two CCD cameras and a monitor. The accuracy and robustness of the proposed method are also verified on the experimental results of several real video sequences.

  • This paper proposes a method to estimate vertical interaction force to the end of the surgical instrument by measuring reaction force at the part supporting the trocar. Relation between the force to the trocar and the interaction force is derived using the beam theory. The vertical interaction force is modeled as a function of the reaction force to the trocar and the distance between the drape plate and the trocar. Experimental results show that error is induced by the asymmetric shape of the trocar tip because contact position between the instrument and the trocar tip is changed depending on the direction of the interaction force. The theoretical relation, therefore, is compensated and reduced. Average $L_2$ relative error of the estimated force in the x-direction and the y-direction is 5.81 % and 5.99 %, respectively.

  • In this paper, we proposes an adaptive method for reducing the computational overhead of fine-to-coarse MRME at the finest resolution level by considering for the spatial and spectral characteristics between wavelet decomposition levels simultaneously. As we know, there is high correlation between the adjacent blocks and it can give the very important clue to estimate motion at finest level. So, in this paper, using the initial motion vector and the adjacent motion vector in the coarsest level, we determine the optimal direction that will be minimized the estimation error in the finest level. In that direction, we define the potential searching region within the full searching region that is caused to increase much computational overhead in the FtC method. Last, in that region, we process the efficient 2-step motion estimation. and estimate the motion vector at finest resolution level. And then, this determined motion vector is scaled to coarser resolutions. As simulation result, this method is similar to computational complexity of the CtF MRME method and very significantly reduces that of the FtC MRME method. In addition, they provide higher quality than CtF MRME, both visually and quantitatively

  • 본 논문에서 우리는 등간격 선형 어레이 (ULA : Uniform Linear Array) MIMO 레이더 시스템에 ESPRIT 알고리즘을 적용하여 전송각과 도래각을 추정하는 방법을 고려한다. 각 추정 성능을 높이기 위한 방안으로 물리적인 안테나 개수를 증가시키는 방법과 정합필터링 후의 스냅샷 수를 증가시키는 방법이 있지만 이러한 방법에는 복잡도 등의 다양한 제약이 따른다. 이에 본 논문에서는 단순히 전송, 수신 안테나 수를 적절히 분배함으로서 성능을 향상시키는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 특히, 우리는 수신 안테나의 수가 송신 안테나 수의 약 두배가 되었을 때 최적의 성능이 얻어짐을 보인다.

  • 차세대 이동통신 시스템(B3G)은 음성 트래픽 뿐만 아니라 데이터, 화상, 비디오와 같은 멀티미디어 트래픽을 지원하므로 더 많은 무선 자원을 요구한다. 특히 멀티미디어 트래픽의 전송 중에 핸드오버가 발생하면 멀티미디어 트래픽의 QoS가 지연 및 손실에 의하여 영향 받기 때문에, 정지 상태에서의 경우와 대등한 QoS를 유지하기 위해서는 효율적인 자원 예약 및 할당 방안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이동 멀티미디어 망에서 이동 단말기의 이동방향 추정에 근거하여 자원을 예약하곡 이를 근거로 멀티미디어 트래픽을 전송하는 핸드오버 기법을 제안한다 이 기법은 섹터 추정과 존 추정으로 구성된 2 단계 추정에 근거하여 이동 단말기의 위치와 이동 방향을 결정하고 이를 이용하여 자원을 예약한다. 제안된 방법의 성능을 시뮬레이션에 의해 분석한다.

초소형위성 비용분석 사례연구를 통한 비용분석 업무발전 방향에 대한 고찰 (A Study on Work Development Direction of Cost Analysis through Cost Analysis of Micro Satellite)

  • Purpose: It emphasizes the importance of cost analysis for weapons systems that require enormous develop- ment costs, analyzes the problems of cost analysis steps from a practical point of view, and presents the direction of business development in terms of cost analysis reliability, timeliness, and efficiency. Methods: It analyzes the R&D cost of Micro satellites with a complex cost structure and large scale according to engineering estimation procedures, derives major analysis step-by-step problems, and presents business development directions. Results: Problems with standards and assumptions, data collection, cost division structure, and cost estimation methods were derived through the micro satellite cost analysis process, and business development directions such as expanding common standards, standardizing basic data, standardizing cost division structures and cost items, and data asset were presented. Conclusion: In order to develop work in terms of cost analysis reliability, timeliness, and efficiency, it is important to prepare and standardize standards and rules for detailed tasks at each analysis stage, and through this, it is expected that high utilization value and systematic cost data will be assetized in the future.

A Multi-Channel Correlative Vector Direction Finding System Using Active Dipole Antenna Array for Mobile Direction Finding Applications

  • A fast correlative vector direction finding(CVDF) system using active dipole antenna array for mobile direction finding(DF) applications is presented. To develop the CVDF system, the main elements such as active dipole antenna, multi-channel direction finder, and search receiver are designed and analyzed. The active antenna is designed as composite structure to improve the filed strength sensitivity over the wide frequency range, and the multi-channel direction finder and search receiver are designed using DDS-based PLL with settling time of below 35 us to achieve short signal processing time. This system provides the capabilities of the high DF sensitivity over the wide frequency range and allows for high probability of intercept and accurate angle of arrival(AOA) estimation for agile signals. The design and performance analysis according to the external noise and modulation schemes of the CVDF system with five-element circular array are presented in detail.

스마트 디바이스를 활용한 가청, 비가청 신호 기반 피난방향 탐지 기법 연구 (Study on the direction detection based on audible and non-audible signals using smart devices)

  • 본 논문에서는 재난 발생 시 지향성 스피커와 스마트 디바이스를 활용한 피난 방향 탐지기법을 제안하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법은 연기, 소음 등의 원인으로 출구 방향조차 알 수 없는 최악의 재난 환경에서 지향성 스피커로부터 송출되는 가청 비 가청 주파수 대역의 안내 방송을 스마트 디바이스로 수신함으로써, 피난 경로를 안내받을 수 있는 기법이다. 제안하는 기법의 성능평가는 대형 실내공간에서 제조사가 다른 3종류의 스마트 디바이스를 이용하여 스피커로부터 송출되는 소리 신호의 방향을 탐지하여 스피커가 설치된 출구 방향을 탐지하는 것으로 평가하였다. 또한, 거리별 신호 세기와 주파수 특성을 통한 신호검출 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과를 통해 스마트 디바이스가 스피커로부터 최대 20m까지 떨어져 있더라도 신호의 송출 방향 탐지가 가능함을 확인하였고, 스마트 디바이스로 8kHz와 20kHz 신호 검출을 통해 본 논문에서 제안하는 기술에 대한 가능성을 확인하였다.

예측 방향성 탐색 알고리즘을 이용한 새로운 블록 정합 움직임 추정 방식 (A New Block Matching Motion Estimation using Predicted Direction Search Algorithm)

  • This paper introduces a new technique for block is matching motion estimation. Since the temporal correlation of the image sequence, the motion vector of a block is highly related to the motion vector of the same coordinate block in the previous image frame. If we can obtain useful and enough information from the motion vector of the same coordinate block of the previous frame, the total number of search points used to find the motion vector of the current block may be reduced significantly. Using that idea, an efficient predicted direction search algorithm (PDSA) for block matching algorithm is proposed. Based on the direction of the blocks of the two successive previous frames, if the direction of the to successive blocks is same, the first search point of the proposed PDSA is moved two pixels to the direction of the block. The searching process after moving the first search point is processed according to the fixed search patterns. Otherwise, full search is performed with search area $\pm$2. Simulation results show that PSNR values are improved up to the 3.4dB as depend on the image sequences and improved about 1.5dB on an average. Search times are reduced about 20% than the other fast search algorithms. Simulation results also show that the performance of the PDSA scheme gives better subjective picture quality than the other fast search algorithms and is closer to that of the FS(Full Search) algorithm.
