외란 관측기를 이용한 직접 구동형 로봇의 고속.고정도 제어 (High speed and accurate positioning control of robot manipulator by using disturbance observer)

  • High-speed/high-accuracy control of robot manipulator becomes more and more stringent because of the external disturbance and nonlinear characteristics. To meet this ends, lots of control strategies were proposed in the past such as the computed torque control, the nonlinear decoupled feedback control, and adaptive control. These control methods need computations of the inverse dynamics and require much computational effort. Recently, a disturbance observer with unmodeled robot dynamics and simple algorithms to motion control have been widely studied. This paper proposes a motor control strategy based on the disturbance observer which estimate the disturbance of each joint from input-output relationship of the actuator and eliminate the estimated disturbance including the torque due to modeling errors, coupling force, nonlinear friction, and so on. To apply the disturbance observer to closedloop system like velocity servo pack, the modified control structure was constructed and shown that it is equivalent to a disturbance observer in open-loop system. Finally, using the proposed approach, simulation and experiments were carried out for a two-degree-of-freedom SCARA type direct drive robot, and show some results to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

BLDC motor의 적응백스텝핑 속도제어 (A Speed Control of BLDC Motor using Adaptive Back stepping Technique)

  • 본 논문은 BLDC 전동기의 속도제어를 위해 백스텝핑 설계기법을 이용한 제어기 설계방법을 제안한다. 먼저 백스텝핑 설계기법으로 제어기를 기반으로 부하토크의 추정기를 설계한다. 부하토크의 추정기는 부하토크 변동에 대해 실시간 추정할 수 있도록 구성되어졌다. 제안된 제어기를 120W급의 BLDC 전동기에 적용하여 부하토크를 실시간 적응하면서 속도 레퍼런스를 추종하는 능력을 시험하였다. 그 결과 설계된 제어기와 추정기의 성능이 유용함을 보일 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents an implementation of digital control system of speed sensorless for Reluctance Synchronous Motor (RSM) drives with DTC. The control system consists of stator flux observer, rotor position/speed/torque estimator, two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter, and TMS320C31 DSP controller by using fully integrated control software. The stator flux observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control that inputs are current and voltage sensing of motor terminal with estimated rotor angle for wide speed range. The rotor position is estimated by observed stator flux-linkage space vector. The estimated rotor speed is determined by differentiation of the rotor position used only in the current model part of the flux observer for a low speed operating area. It does not require the knowledge of any motor parameters, nor particular care for motor starting, In order to prove the suggested control algorithm, we have a simulation and testing at actual experimental system. The developed sensorless control system is shown a good speed control response characteristic results and high performance features in 50/1000 rpm with 1.0Kw RSM having 2.57 ratio of d/q reluctance.

Stability Enhancement of Four-in-Wheel Motor-Driven Electric Vehicles Using an Electric Differential System

  • This paper presents a new multi-machine robust control based on an electric differential system for electric vehicle (EV) applications which is composed of four in-wheel permanent magnet synchronous motors. It is based on a new master-slave direct torque control (DTC) algorithm, which is used for the control of bi-machine traction systems based on a speed model reference adaptive system observer. The use of an electric differential in the design of a new EV constitutes a technological breakthrough. A classical system with a multi-inverter and a multi-machine comprises a three-phase inverter for each machine to be controlled. Another approach consists of only one three-phase inverter for several permanent magnet synchronous machines. The control of multi-machine single-inverter systems is the subject of this study. Several methods have been proposed for the control of multi-machine single-inverter systems. In this study, a new master-slave based DTC strategy is developed to generate an electric differential system. The entire system is simulated by Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the new multi-machine robust control based on an electric differential system for use in EV applications.

  • 본 논문에서는 브러쉬없는 직류전동기의 위치제어를 위한 직접적응 퍼지가변구조제어기를 설계한다. 가변구조제어는 시스템의 파라메터 변화나 외란에 둔감한 특성을 갖는 반면 떨림현상의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 떨림현상의 진폭은 시스템의 불확실정보를 최악의 상태로 가정한 후 결정되므로, 기존의 가변구조제어에서는 그 크기가 너무 크다. 또한 이런 불확실한 요소들의 최대값은 찾아내기도 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 불확실한 요소의 최대값을 최적으로 추정하기 위하여 퍼지 추론 기법을 사용한다. 아울러 소속함수의 원소들을 직접적응 기법에 의하여 자동 조정할 수 있는 기법을 추가한다. 이를 통하여 우수한 제어 성능을 얻을 수 있음을 확인한다.

  • A robust bending frequency tracker is proposed to design the adaptive notch filter which removes the time-varying missile structural modes from the sensor measurements. To do this, the state-space form of a bending frequency model is derived under the assumption that the bending signal could be described as the lightly damped sinusoid. Since the resultant bending frequency model contains the parametric uncertainties in the measurement matrix, the design problem of bending frequency tracker is tackled by applying the robust Kalman filter to the model. This technique could be easily expanded to the multiple frequencies case because it newly illuminates the bending frequency tracking problem in view of general state estimation.

  • Direct torque control algorithm for 3-level inverter-fed induction motors is proposed. Conventional selection method of the stator voltage vector shows problems of stator flux drooping phenomenon and undesirable torque control appeared especially at the low, speed operation. To overcome these problems, a proposed method uses intermediate voltage vectors, which are inherently generated in 3-level inverters. An adaptive observer is also employed to estimate some state-variables and motor parameters, which takes a deep effect on the performance of the low speed operation. Simulation and experiment results verify effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • This paper proposes a speed control system based on a fuzzy logic approach, integrated with a simple and effective adaptive algorithms. And this paper attempts to provide a thorough comparative insight into the behavior of induction motor drive with PI, direct and improved fuzzy speed controller. A indirect vector controlled induction motor is simulated under varying operating condition. The validity of the comparative results is confirmed by simulation results for induction motor drive system.

Virtual Flux and Positive-Sequence Power Based Control of Grid-Interfaced Converters Against Unbalanced and Distorted Grid Conditions

  • This paper proposes a virtual flux (VF) and positive-sequence power based control strategy to improve the performance of grid-interfaced three-phase voltage source converters against unbalanced and distorted grid conditions. By using a second-order generalized integrator (SOGI) based VF observer, the proposed strategy achieves an AC voltage sensorless and grid frequency adaptive control. Aiming to realize a balanced sinusoidal line current operation, the fundamental positive-sequence component based instantaneous power is utilized as the control variable. Moreover, the fundamental negative-sequence VF feedforward and the harmonic attenuation ability of a sequence component generator are employed to further enhance the unbalance regulation ability and the harmonic tolerance of line currents, respectively. Finally, the proposed scheme is completed by combining the foregoing two elements with a predictive direct power control (PDPC). In order to verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed SOGI-VFPDPC, the scenarios of unbalanced voltage dip, higher harmonic distortion and grid frequency deviation are investigated in simulation and experimental studies. The corresponding results demonstrate that the proposed strategy ensures a balanced sinusoidal line current operation with excellent steady-state and transient behaviors under general grid conditions.

  • In robotics and other fields of engineering, techniques for artificial reality or virtual reality are focused on and studied extensively, e.g., virtual existence for tele-operator systems in robotics, and virtual reality of designed objects in architecture. In order to realize the system we should create physical stimulations according to internal models created by experiences in a human brain. The internal model does not have to have direct connections to the real world, however, the stimulation must be signals such that the internal model are retrieved in a human brain. In this paper we propose a technique for tele-virtual reality of dynamic mechanical models, which means that one dynamic mechanical model can be shared by peoples in distant places. Since a stability issue due to time delays arises in the system, we employed a scattering technique developed for a tele-operator system and a kind of passive adaptive controllers. Furthermore, restrictions due to a simple digital implementation of the scattering transformation are discussed and some conditions for stability are shown. The proposed method is applied to a remote tug of war system and the effectiveness is verified.
