This paper describes the mathematical modeling method for the static magnetic field signature generated by a magnetic scale model. we proposed the equivalent dipole modeling method utilizing a singular value decomposition technique from magnetic field signatures by magnetic sensors are located special depths below the scale model. The proposed dipole modeling method was successfully verified through comparisons with the real measured values in our non-magnetic laboratory. Using the proposed method, it is possible to predict and analyze static magnetic field distributions at any difference depths generated from the real ships as well as a scale model ship.
Dipole model based analytical expression is proposed to estimate the length and depth of the rectangular defect on ferromagnetic pipe. Among the three leakage profiles of Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL), radial and axial leakage profiles are considered in this work. Permeability variation of the specimen is ignored by considering the flux density as close to saturation level of the inspected specimen. Comparing the profile of both the components, radial leakage profile furnishes the better estimation of defect parameter. This is evident from the results of error percentage of length and depth of the defect. Normalized pattern of the proposed analytical model radial leakage profile is good agreement with the experimentally obtained profile support the performance of proposed expression.
The thermal and dielectric properties of unsaturated polyester resin system during cure were analyzed under Isothermal conditions. Both $varepsilon$′ and $varepsilon$" decreased and dipole relaxation was observed under isothermal conditions during cure. The ionic conductivity decreased linearly with the conversion according to the Kienle-Rate equation (ln($varepsilon$"$_{ionic}$we$_{0}$)=C$_{r}$$alpha$+C$_{0}$) up to $alpha$=0.15, after which it aparted from the relationship due to the entanglement of polymer chains. The effect of ionic conductivity was revealed to be larger than that of dipole motion during the whole cure through the electrical modulus analysis. Although dielectric motion was analyzed with Debye model, it was observed only at a narrow time region of middle stage of cure. In order to estimate the dielectric properties during the whole cure, the Havriliak-Negami model was considered and modified with the strong effect of ionic conductivity. The changes of $varepsilon$′ and $varepsilon$" were well estimated with this modified Havriliak-Negami model.
This study surveys how teachers can improve their understanding about the concept of declination only through reading the material presented as non-dipole magnetic model. This study also investigates a difference between the content of declination presented in "Earth Science II" textbook under the 2009 revised National Curriculum and that of the past one. Thirty teachers in Gyeonggi province and thirty three in the city of Seoul are surveyed; they are selected from the participants of required training that provides their first grade regular teaching certification. Findings of this study are as follows. First, the study finds that teacher participants possess several misconceptions about the declination. Their typical misconception show that a compass needle directly indicates the magnetic north pole. This type of misconception is not corrected only by a reading the material. Second, the study shows that the degree of teachers' understanding about the concept of declination improves through the reading the material of a non-dipole magnetic model. Third, the study reveals that the material of nod-dipole magnetic model is more effective with teachers than students. Finally, the study suggests that explanations including non-dipole magnetic model be revised in the current textbooks.
The accurate localization of electrical sources in the brain is one of the most important questions in EEG, especially in the analysis of evoked responses and of epileptiform spike activity. A detailed simulation study of single dipole source estimation based on EEG is given in this paper. The effects of dipole model parameters on single dipole source tracing in EEG are examined in some detail using the Monte Carlo simulation. The error of source localization is found to be greatly influenced by how the electrodes are distributed over the head and the number of them.

This paper presents the design method of EMC(Electromagnetic Coupling) microstrip array antenna for CS(Communication Satellite) system. Microstrip dipole antennas are attractive elements owing to the desirable properties such as simplicity, small size and linear polarization. From the optimum simulation results by the FDTD method[1], design parameters such as EMC dipole length, width, height and offset are discussed at 12CHz. The array characteristics of 5-elements and 10-elements array are also presented. By adjusting geometry of model antenna, we can design dual polarization EMC microstrip dipole antenna for CS system. Direction of nam beam is easily tilted by the control of distance between dipole elements.

The more sophisticated patterns of propagation model is presented in this paper, which includes three different source characteristics. The spherical, cosine and dipole radiation characteristics compared and sound event level and the maximum sound level are calculated by experiment and calculation. It is shown that patterns of propagation has dipole characteristics for low speed range(below about 150km/h) at electric multiple system. We know that push-pull high speed system(maximum speed: 300km/h) has cosine characteristics of noise propagation. For this purpose, We conduct the experiment of noise and know the empirical formula of noise level and radiation coefficient K. This model of simulation is conducted through point source array model at wheel/rail contact point by using program and experimental formula. We can guess prediction of profile, flat and wear of wheel by above modeling in near field.
EEG(Electroencephalography) is generated by electrical activity between neurons in cortical. Waveform of EEG is changed according to body and mental states. Therefore EEG is used to diagnosis of encephalophyma and epilepsy, etc. Also EEG is used to HCI(Human-Computer Interface). This paper describes estimation of orientation and location of dipole sources. The forward model is three-layer spherical head model and current dipole model. Using analytical solution, EEG is generated. Using MNLS(Minimum-Norm Least-Square) method, orientation and location of dipole moment is estimated.
The acoustic array waveforms are simulated in a simple borehole model for both monopole and dipole sources. The model is based on the parameters obtained by the semblance processing of field waveforms collected on the physical models whose physical parameters are known. Both the synthetic and field waveforms are compared to understand the sonic waveform as well as the source wavelet characteristics.
