레이저 산란 현상을 이용한 피부혈류 화상화 시스템의 개발 (Development of Laser Speckle Flowgraphy System for Monitoring Blood Flow in Skin Tissue)

  • In this paper, we develop a new system to visualize the blood flow map in skin tissue, using the technique of Laser Speckle Flowgraphy (LSFG). The measuring unit consists of the laser diode, imaging system, line sensor, scanning mirror, and one-board microcomputer. The speckle signal is analyzed and sent to a PC, where the blood flow in a tissue area of $14mm{\times}26 mm$ is evaluated and displayed in a 2-D color map. It is demonstrated that the new LSFG instrument is useful to evaluate the degree of allergic reaction in patch test.

GMA 용접로봇용 용접선 시각 추적 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Visual Sensor System for Weld Seam Tracking in Robotic GMA Welding)

  • In this study, we constructed a visual sensor system for weld seam tracking in real time in GMA welding. A sensor part consists of a CCD camera, a band-pass filter, a diode laser system with a cylindrical lens, and a vision board for inter frame process. We used a commercialized robot system which includes a GMA welding machine. To extract the weld seam we used a inter frame process in vision board from that we could remove the noise due to the spatters and fume in the image. Since the image was very reasonable by using the inter frame p개cess, we could use the simplest way to extract the weld seam from the image, such as first differential and central difference method. Also we used a moving average method to the successive position data or weld seam for reducing the data fluctuation. In experiment the developed robot system with visual sensor could be able to track a most popular weld seam. such as a fillet-joint, a V-groove, and a lap-joint of which weld seam include planar and height directional variation.

GMA 용접에서 용접선 추적용 시각센서의 화상처리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Image Processing of Visual Sensor for Weld Seam Tracking in GMA Welding)

  • In this study, we constructed a preview-sensing visual sensor system for weld seam tracking in GMA welding. The visual sensor consists of a CCD camera, a diode laser system with a cylindrical lens and a band-pass-filter to overcome the degrading of image due to spatters and/or arc light. To obtain weld joint position and edge points accurately from the captured image, we compared Hough transform method with central difference method. As a result, we present Hough transform method can more accurately extract the points and it can be applied to real time weld seam tracking. Image processing is carried out to extract straight lines that express laser stripe. After extracting the lines, weld joint position and edge points is determined by intersecting points of the lines. Although a spatter trace is in the image, it is possible to recognize the position of weld joint. Weld seam tracking was precisely implemented with adopting Hough transform method, and it is possible to track the weld seam in the case of offset angle is in the region of $\pm15^{\circ}$.

  • The essential tasks to operate the welding robot are the acquisition of the position and/or shape of the parent metal. For the seam tracking or the robot automation, many kinds of contact and non-contact sensors are used. Recently, the vision sensor is most popular. In this paper, the development of the system which measures the profile of the welding part is described. The total system will be assembled into a compact module which can be attached to the head of welding robot system. This system uses the line-type structured laser diode and the vision sensor It implemented Direct Linear Transformation (DLT) for the camera calibration as well as radial distortion correction. The three dimensional shape of the parent metal is obtained after simple linear transformation and therefore, the system operates in real time. Some experiments are carried out to evaluate the performance of the developed system.

  • 용접을 하는데 있어서 보다 균일한 용접상태를 유지하고, 용접품질의 향상 및 동일시간에 보다 많은 용접을 함으로써 생산성 향상을 위해 로봇의 이용이 점차로 증가하고 있다. 로봇용접의 과정 중 실제 용접을 실시하기 위해 로봇을 움직이기 이전에 용접할 부위의 검출이 선행되어야 하고, 그 검출방법에 있어서 크게 접촉식과 비접촉식의 센서가 활용이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 비접촉식 중 비전센서인 레이저 다이오드와 CCD 카메라를 이용하여 CCD 카메라를 거친 영상을 처리하여 용접선을 추적하고 용접을 하도록 하고 있다. 레이저 다이오드를 용접모재와 일정 각도를 가지도록 조사하게 되면 모재표면의 형상에 따라 반사되는 굴곡면이 달라지게 되는데 이 형상이 CCD 카메라를 통해 입력되고, 이 입력된 화상을 이미지 보드와 프로그램을 통하여 분석을 하고, 얻어진 용접선의 화상의 좌표 값을 토대로 로봇을 이동시킴으로써 용접을 하도록 하고 있다. 용접은 실시간으로 이루어짐으로써 생산성 향상에 크게 기여할 수 있다. 또한 모재에 따라 굴곡이 다른 1차원 평면의 용접인 경우는 약간의 프로그램 수정으로 대부분 추적 가능하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 광센서용 광원에 적합한 1.55$\mu\textrm{m}$ 파장대의 InGaAsP/InP 반도체레이저를 제작하였다. 레이징을 억제시켜주기 위해서 bending type의 소자를 설계 및 제작하였으며, 제작된 소자의 출력은 펄스 구동전류 100㎃에서 1.6㎽이고, 스펙트럼 폭은 40nm의 값을 가졌다. 그리고, 제작된 광원을 적용하였을 때 광섬유 자이로스코프에 파이버 종단에서의 출력은 $25^{\circ}C$, 직류 100㎃에서 540㎻였고, 스펙트럼 폭은 53nm였다. 그리고, 불규칙잡음 계수는 2.5$\times$10­$^3$deg/√hr였고, 자이로 출력 drift도 잡음수준으로 조사되었다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 제작한 광원을 광섬유 자이로 스코프에 사용 가능함을 확인하였다.

An AFM-based Edge Profile Measuring Instrument for Diamond Cutting Tools

  • This paper describes an atomic force microscope (AFM)-based instrument for measuring the nanoscale cutting edge profiles of diamond cutting tools. The instrument consists of a combined AFM unit and an optical sensor to align the AFM tip with the top of the diamond cutting tool edge over a submicron range. In the optical sensor, a aser beam is emitted from a laser diode along the Y-axis and focused to a small beam spot with a diameter of approximately $10{\mu}m$ at the beam waist, which is then received by a photodiode. The top of the tool edge is first brought into the center of the beam waist by adjusting it in the X-Z-plane while monitoring the variation in the photodiode output. The cutting tool is then withdrawn and its top edge position at the beam center is recorded. The AFM tip can also be positioned at the beam center in a similar manner to align it with the top of the cutting edge. To reduce electronic noise interference on the photodiode output and thereby enhance the alignment accuracy, a technique is applied that can modulate the photodiode output to an AC signal by driving the laser diode with a sinusoidal current. Alignment experiments and edge profile measurements of a diamond cutting tool were carried out to verify the performance of the proposed system.

실시간 출력 제어를 통한 구상흑연 주철의 레이저 표면경화 특성 (Characteristics of Surface Hardening by Laser Power Control in Real Time of Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron)

  • This study is related to the surface hardening treatment to spheroidal graphite cast iron for die by using high power diode laser. Laser device used in this experiment is capable of real-time laser power control. This is because the infrared temperature sensor (two color pyrometer) attached to the optical system measures the surface temperature of specimen and adjusts the laser power in real time. The surface treatment was carried out with the change of heat treatment temperature at the beam travel speed 3 mm/sec. Hardened width and depth was measured and hardened zone was analyzed by micro vickers hardness test in order to research the optimum condition of heat treatment. The changes in microstructure of the hardened zone also was examined. As a result of hardness measurement and observations on microstructure of hardened zone, hardness increased over three times as compared with base metal because the martensite was formed on the matrix structure.

  • 전력계통 시스템의 대전류 측정용으로 편광 분석형 광섬유 전류센서를 제작하였다. 선형복굴절에 의한 출력의 왜곡을 최소화하기 위하여 FRG 광섬유를 센서코일로 사용하였으며, 다양한 광원을 이용하여 광원에 따른 출력 노이즈 비교분석을 수행하였다. FRG광섬유 센서코일에 기계적 변형을 인가한 경우 $\pm$0.4(%) 이내의 출력안정도를 얻었으며, ASE 광폭 광원을 사용할 경우 단일모드 레이저에 비해 23(㏈) 정도의 노이즈 감쇄 효과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.
