  • In GPS (Global Positioning System) positioning, various measures can be used to select satellites or to evaluate the positioning results. Among these, GDOP (Geometric Dilution of Precision) and RGDOP (Relative GDOP) are the most frequently used. Although these measures are frequently used, the relationship between them is not clearly known. Moreover, the condition number is used as a traditional measure of numerical stability in solving linear equations. Sometimes, the volume of a tetrahedon made by the line of sight vector is used for simplicity. All of these measures share some common properties as well as differences. The relationships between these measures are analyzed in this paper.

  • In this paper, the positioning performance index is proposed. The proposed index is used to find satellites that degrade positioning performance to improve the positioning performance. To do this, the proposed index is calculated using the code measurement quality and the DOP. And, through the experiment, the effectiveness of the proposed index is confirmed. In the experiment, the quality of the code measurements is analyzed, and the effectiveness of the proposed index is confirmed by comparing with the result of the precise float solution. Finally, it is shown that the precise float solution performance is improved by using the proposed index.

  • With the development of mobile internet, requirements of positioning accuracy for the LBS (Location Based Service) are becoming more and more higher. The LBS is based on the position of each mobile device. So, it requires a proper acquisition of accurate user's indoor position. Thus indoor positioning technology and its accuracy is crucial for various LBS. In general, RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) measurements are used to obtain the position information of mobile unit under WLAN environment. However, indoor positioning error increases as multiple AP's configurations are becoming more complex. To overcome this problem, an enhanced indoor localization method by AP (Access Point) selection criteria adopting DOP (Dilution of Precision) is proposed.

  • The Global Positioning System(GPS) is a satellite based precise positioning system avaliable worldwide. The GPS have many error sources. The earth's ionosphere and atmosphere cause delays in the GPS signal that translate into position errors. Some errors can be factored out using mathematics and modeling. The configuration of the satellites in the sky can magnify other errors. The problem of accuracy on GPS measurement data can be meaningful. In this study, we propose the method for GPS positioning accuracy improvement. The FUZZY set theory on PDOP(Position Dilution of Precision) and SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) provide improved for measured positioning data. The accuracy of positioning has been improved by selecting data from original using the FUZZY set theory on PDOP and SNR.

  • The International GNSS Service (IGS) provides the IGS-Real Time Service (IGS-RTS) corrections that can be used in stand-alone positioning in real time. In this study, the positioning accuracy before and after the application of the corrections to broadcast ephemeris by applying the IGS-RTS corrections at code pseudo-range based stand-alone positioning was compared with positioning result using precise ephemeris. The analysis result on IGS-RTS corrections showed that orbit error and clock error were 0.05 m and 0.5 ns compared to precise ephemeris and accuracy improved by about 8.5% compared to the broadcast ephemeris-applied result when the IGS-RTS was applied to positioning. Furthermore, regionally dispersed five observatories were selected to analyze the effect of external environments on positioning accuracy and positioning errors according to location and time were compared as well as the number of visible satellites and position dilution of precision by observatory were analyzed to verify a correlation with positioning error.

  • The study was carried out immobilized Aspergillus niger used of milk-wastewater. The purpose of investigation is to optimize the ermentational conditions of milk-wastewater The optimal pH, temperature and dilution rate were 3.0, 30$^{\circ}C$ and 0.025 h$\^$-1/. The maximum amount and yield of citric acid produced by immobilizes Aspergillus niger ATCC 9142 were 4.5g/1 and 70.3%. Compared to shake-flask culture, yield was increased about 20%.

  • GPS is widely used in various applications since GPS receivers are capable of measuring precise position and velocity in any weather condition for a relatively low cost. However, GPS requires more than four simultaneously visible GPS satellites for optimal performance. In high-motion, high-attitude-changing applications, there exist some situations where less than four satellites are visible or where the dilution of precision (DOP) is high. In this paper, we propose a simulation algorithm that predicts the performance of GPS navigation according to changes in vehicle attitude. We have compared simulation results with experimental results, where simulation results of the proposed algorithm are shown to closely match actual experimental data. This algorithm could be used to predict GPS navigational performance and to determine optimal GPS antenna position.

  • This paper analyzes navigation performances of the Korean Positioning System (KPS) constellation with respect to the orbit parameters which fulfills the specification requirements. Specifically, the satellite configuration and navigation requirements of KPS are explained, and the daily mean horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP) and satellite visibility on KPS coverage are analyzed to confirm the adequate orbit parameters. However, due to orbital slot saturation, geostationary-orbit (GEO) satellites may not be allocated in the original orbit as specified in the KPS requirements. Therefore, in a spanned window of 4 degrees from the reference longitude the navigation performance of each GEO satellite orbit is investigated.
