팽창된 잔차 합성곱신경망을 이용한 KOMPSAT-3A 위성영상의 융합 기법 (A Pansharpening Algorithm of KOMPSAT-3A Satellite Imagery by Using Dilated Residual Convolutional Neural Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) 기반의 영상융합 기법을 제안하고자 하였다. 딥러닝 구조의 성능을 향상시키기 위하여, CNN 기법에서 대표적인 합성곱(convolution) 방법으로 알려진 팽창된 합성곱(dilated convolution) 모델을 활용하여 모델의 깊이와 복잡성을 증대시키고자 하였다. 팽창된 합성곱을 기반으로 하여 학습과정에서의 효율을 향상시키기 위하여 잔차 네트워크(residual network)도 활용하였다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 모델학습을 위하여 전통적인 L1 노름(norm) 기반의 손실함수와 함께, 공간 상관도를 활용하였다. 본 연구에서는 전정색 영상만을 이용하거나 전정색 영상과 다중분광 영상을 모두 활용하여 구조에 적용한 DRNet을 개발하여 실험을 수행하였다. KOMPSAT-3A를 활용한 전정색 영상과 다중분광 영상을 이용한 DRNet은 융합영상의 분광특성에 과적합되는 결과를 나타냈으며, 전정색 영상만을 이용한 DRNet이 기존 기법들과 비교하여 융합영상의 공간적 특성을 효과적으로 반영함을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 운전자한테 실시간으로 블랙 아이스 경고를 보내기 위해서 도로 영상에서 블랙 아이스 영역 분할을 위한 다중 척도 팽창 컨볼루션 특징 융합에 기반한 딥러닝 모델을 제안한다. 제안한 다중척도 팽창 컨볼루션 특징 융합 네트워크는 인코더 블록에 서로 다른 팽창 비율 컨볼루션을 병렬로 추가하고, 서로 다른 해상도 특징 맵에서 서로 다른 팽창 비율을 설정하고, 다중 단계 특징 정보가 함께 융합된다. 다중 척도 팽창 컨볼루션 특징 융합은 수용 영역을 확장함과 동시에 공간의 세부 정보를 잘 보존하고 팽창 컨볼루션의 효과성을 높임으로써 기존 모델보다 성능을 향상시킨다. 실험 결과를 통해 본 논문 제안한 네트워크 모델은 병렬 평창 컨볼루션 수가 증가함에 따라 성능이 향상되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 제안한 방법의 mIoU 값은 96.46%로 U-Net, FCN, PSPNet, ENet, LinkNet 등 기존 네트워크보다 높았다. 그리고 파라미터는 1,858K개로, 기존 LinkNet모델보다 6배로 축소하였다. Jetson Nano에서 실험 결과 보면, 제안한 방법의 FPS는 3.63로 실시간으로 블랙 아이스 영역을 실시간으로 분할 할 수 있었다.

멜라토닌이 허혈-재관류 손상에 의한 골격근의 형태학적 변화에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Melatonin on Morphological Changes of Rat Skeletal Muscle after Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury)

  • The effect of melatonin on morphological changes after ischemia-reperfusion injury was investigated in rat skeletal muscle. Dimethyl-sulfoxide(DMSO) was also tested for comparison. Muscle injury was evaluated in 4 groups as a single laparotomy group(control), ischemia-reperfusion group, DMSO group, melatonin group. Left hind limb ischemia was induced for 4 hours by vascular clamping of the common femoral artery and followed by 24 hours of reperfusion. The midportion of gastrocnemius muscle was taken for histological evaluation. In light microscopic study, ischemia-reperfusion group showed severe neutrophil infiltration, interstitial edema, and partial loss or degeneration of muscle fibers. The muscle tissue of melatonin group showed relatively normal architecture with mild inflammatory cell infiltration. In electron microscopic study, dilated cisternae of sarcoplasmic reticulum, dilated mitochondria with electron loose matrix and dilated cristae, disordered or loss of myofilament, indistinct A-band and I-band, intracytoplasmic vacuoles, and markedly decreased glycogen granules were observed in ischemia-reperfusion group. But relatively well maintained A-band, I-band, Z-line, M-line, and mildly dilated mitochondria with well preserved cristae were observed in melatonin group. The DMSO group showed intermediately attenuated ultrastructural changes. The results show that melatonin improves morphologically ischemia-reperfusion injury more effectively than DMSO. In conclusion, melatonin seems to be a promising agent that can salvage the skeletal muscle from severe ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Adriamycin으로 유발된 생쥐의 간독성에 대한 Squalene의 영향 (Effect of Squalene on Adriamycin-Induced Cytotoxicity in Mice Liver)

  • The objective of the present study was to investigate the cytotoxicity of adriamycin in liver cells (group A), and the protective effect of squalene to the hepatocytes to which adriamycin-induced cytotcxicity (group B) was examined by transmission electron micro-scope. In the group A, The cisternae of rough endoplasmic reitculum and smooth endoplasmic reticulum are dilated/disoriented at 24 hours and 48 hours. The inner and outer membrane of mitochondria are detached or destructed , and attached ribosomes of rough endoplasmic reticulum are diminished in number. The cisternae of the smooth endoplasmic reticulum are dilated, and the cristae of mitochondria are disrupted at 72 hours and 96 hours. In the group B, the cisternae of the rough endoplasmic reticulum and smooth endoplasmic resticulum are dilated at 24 hours. The cisternae of the smooth endoplasmic reticulum are dilated at 48 hours. The cell organelles of hepatocytes are recovered from cytotoxicity at 72 hours. These results suggest that 50 is not only concerned with composition of the membrane system of the cell organelles but also decreased the cytotoxicity of the hepatocytes.

배경음악 분리를 위한 확장된 합성곱을 이용한 멀티 밴드 멀티 스케일 DenseNet (Multi-band multi-scale DenseNet with dilated convolution for background music separation)

  • 방송 콘텐츠의 혼합 신호에서 배경음악 신호를 분리하는 확장된 합성곱을 이용한 멀티 밴드 멀티 스케일 DenseNet을 제안한다. 확장된 합성곱은 스펙트로그램의 다양한 스케일 문맥 정보를 학습하기 용이하도록 한다. 컴퓨터 모의실험 결과, 제안한 구조는 신호대잡음비(Signal to Noise Ratio, SNR) 0 dB, -10 dB의 환경에서 각각 0.15 dB, 0.27 dB의 신호대왜곡비(Signal to Distortion Ratio, SDR)를 개선하였다.

Detection and Localization of Image Tampering using Deep Residual UNET with Stacked Dilated Convolution

  • Image tampering detection and localization have become an active area of research in the field of digital image forensics in recent times. This is due to the widespread of malicious image tampering. This study presents a new method for image tampering detection and localization that combines the advantages of dilated convolution, residual network, and UNET Architecture. Using the UNET architecture as a backbone, we built the proposed network from two kinds of residual units, one for the encoder path and the other for the decoder path. The residual units help to speed up the training process and facilitate information propagation between the lower layers and the higher layers which are often difficult to train. To capture global image tampering artifacts and reduce the computational burden of the proposed method, we enlarge the receptive field size of the convolutional kernels by adopting dilated convolutions in the residual units used in building the proposed network. In contrast to existing deep learning methods, having a large number of layers, many network parameters, and often difficult to train, the proposed method can achieve excellent performance with a fewer number of parameters and less computational cost. To test the performance of the proposed method, we evaluate its performance in the context of four benchmark image forensics datasets. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms existing methods and could be potentially used to enhance image tampering detection and localization.

Primary Myopathic Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction in a Maltese Dog

  • An 11-year-old castrated male Maltese had vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal distension for over two weeks and weight loss for several months. Clinical laboratory studies were not remarkable. Abdominal radiographs showed severe dilated intestine with a gravel sign. Colon was empty with normal diameter in the pneumocolon study. On ultrasonographs, most small bowel loops were dilated without normal peristalsis and showed abnormal thin wall. Barium contrast study revealed remarkably delayed gastric emptying and transit time up to $6^{th}$ day. On exploratory laparotomy, there were no mechanical obstruction and extra-intestinal abnormalities except severe dilated small intestine. Chronic fibrosing lymphohistiocytic leiomyositis with atrophy of tunica muscularis in the small intestines and colon was identified through full thickness biopsy and histopathology. Therefore, primary myopathic chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction was diagnosed. This dog is survival with symptomatic treatments for eight months.

딴곳요관증과 요막관 잔존증 증례 보고 (Ectopic ureters and urachal remnant in a dog)

  • An intact male, 3-month-old, Great Pyrenees mountain dog, weighing 7.3 kg with a history of severe hematuria during 2 months was referred. Hematology showed mild leukocytosis. There were no remarkable findings in abdominal radiographs due to ingesta and gas in the gastrointestinal tracts. Ultrasonographs showed bilateral hydronephrosis, bilateral dilated and tortuous ureters, and hyperechoic sludges in the urinary bladder (UB). And a dilated cavity was identified cranial to the UB. Excretory urography and cystography were performed to examine the cause of hydronephrosis and an abnormal cavity cranial to the UB. Bilateral ureters were tortuously dilated and opened into the craniodorsal part of the UB. An abnormal cavity was connected to the UB at the left cranioventral part of the UB. Therefore bilateral ectopic ureters and urachal remnant were diagnosed.

Clinical and Echocardiographic Findings for Dilated Cardiomyopathy Induced by Taurine Deficiency in a Cat

  • A 6-year-old male domestic shorthair cat was referred to Gyeongsang National University Animal Medical Center for labored breathing. According to the patient's history, the client had fed him commercial dog foods. The patient's hematological, radiographic, and echocardiographic examinations were evaluated for diagnosis. Echocardiography results showed marked dilations of ventricles and atriums and mitral regurgitation. A systolic dysfunction was detected. Plasma taurine concentration was lower than the reference range. Based on these results, the patient was diagnosed with feline dilated cardiomyopathy associated with taurine deficiency. Treatment included feline commercial foods, taurine, digoxin, furosemide, and clopidogrel. Digoxin was changed to pimobendan when normal blood pressure was achieved. Clinical signs improved gradually and no abnormalities were detected on echocardiograms at 10 weeks following onset of treatment.

  • 식도결장문합후 결장팽대부 확장은 매우 드문 부작용으로 천공의 위 험성이 높아서 매우 위험하다. 그 리하여 신속한 수술적 치료법이 요망된다. 기존의 수술방법에 의한 수술시야 확보 및 병변의 절제는 아 주 어렵다. 저자등은 내시경 자동봉합기(endo GIA)를 이용하여 결장팽대부 확장을 간편하고 안전하게 제거하여 양호한 결과를 보였기 에 보고하는 바이다.
