전기구동방식 디지털 가버너의 최적제어계 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of the Optimal Control System for Electric Driving Digital Governor)

  • 이상과 같이 엑튜에이터의 동특성 해석을 행하고 PID 제어기 및 최적 제어기를 설계하여 응답시뮬레이션을 한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) 엑튜에이터 부의 시정수는 엔진 부의 시정수에 비해 아주 작아 생략하여 제어계를 구성할 수 있다. 2) 한계 감도법에 의해 PID 제어기를 시뮬레이션 한 결과 PID 제어 가버너는 전반적으로 오버슈트가 크고 중속 및 고속 상태에서는 정정시간이 비교적 짧지만 저속에서는 정상 상태에 도달하는데 상당한 시간이 걸린다. 3) 중량 matrix를 적당히 선택하여 최적 피이드 백 게인을 구한 후 마이크로 프로세서에 저장하여 제어기를 구성하면 PID 제어기 보다 양호한 응답 특성을 갖는 제어기를 설계 할 수 있다.

  • In this paper the recent studies of digital governor for the Diesel Engine in Korea is summarized and that of usage in the marine and land field as of power plant is analyzed for the interest and development of the enterprise with relation with relation to this industrial part. Our investigation shows that until now the studies on the digitl governor are mainly carried out in KMU and land usage for the power plants is increased gradually because reliance of digital governor is improved and system for the maneuvering and monitoring the plants is computerized.

  • 이 논문은 발전소의 터빈 조속기가 장기사용으로 노후화되어 설비를 개선한 내용이다. 고리 원자력 제1호기에서 운전 중이던 기존의 아날로그 터빈 조속기를 철거하고 신규 개발한 디지털 조속기로 교체하는 과정과 동적 모사장치를 이용하여 현장 적응시험을 수행하였다. 이 결과를 토대로 원자력 증기터빈 조속기의 프로그램을 제안한 내용을 기술하고 있다.

  • There are three main devices such as boiler producing steam, turbine driving generator and generator producing electricity. An electrical generator in power plant is driven and maintained its speed at rated by steam turbine which is coupled into generator directly. Therefore after the steam turbine reaches its rated speed and the generator gets into parallel operation with power grid, the electrical power can be increased by turbine controller or governor. The first governor was invented by James Watts for the steam engine to be maintained at a constant speed. The first governor by him was mechanical type with fly balls. The electrical type governor was created due to the progress of electronic devices such as operational amplifiers or integrated circuits. and Today digital electronic type of governor is being widely used in most prime movers.

  • The interest in wind power generation area such as developing and operating wind-diesel pilot complex in remote and island regions that have difficulty in having power plant and connecting to power system is growing rapidly in the world. We have installed and researched the hybrid system in Sekgok Pilot Complex to meet the new generation system. From the monitored data of the system, the performance of each diesel power plant is outstanding. However, step out problem was detected with respect to load sharing and synchronization with decentralized power supply. An advanced controller design having better response time and stability is needed to solve such problem. In this paper, we proposed the algorithm, through digital controller of Governor, which is applied to hybrid system. As a result, we obtained the stable frequency value in variable loading conditions. Also, we proved the advanced response time and stability through the simulation and experiment by applying additional current signal to the control algorithm.

내고장성 디지털 조속기의 신뢰도 평가 및 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reliability Analysis and Development of Fault Tolerant Digital Governor)

  • 본 논문에서는 제어 시스템의 신뢰도를 높이고 중단없는 제어 동작을 실현하기 위하여 제어기를 삼중화한 내고장성 디지털 조속기를 설계하였으며, 이 시스템을 Markov process로 모델링하여 신뢰도를 해석하였다. 임무시간에서 삼중화 시스템은 단일 제어기 시스템에 비해 신뢰도 86[%]수준에서 약 1.8 배, 95[%]수준에서 약 2.8배, 99[%]수준에서 약 6배 증가함을 확인하였다. 또한 북제주 화력 발전소의 터빈 속도제어 시스템을 대상으로 디지털 속도제어 시스템을 설계하였으며, 설계된 디지털 속도제어 시스템의 유효성을 입증하기 위해 모의실험을 행하였다.

  • HILS(Hardware In-the Loop Simulation)은 임베디드(Embedded) 시스템의 개발과 시험에 많이 이용된다. 임베디드(Embedded) 시스템은 시스템의 운전 환경에서 쉽고, 철저하게 그리고 반복해서 시험할 수 없을 때 사용된다. HILS는 빠르고 경제적으로 제품을 개발하는데 유효하다. 또한 생산품이 생산을 시작한 후에 심각한 문제점들이 발견될 가능성을 상당히 줄여주어 생산품 개발 시간동안에 설계 최적화와 하드웨어/소프트웨어 디버깅을 실행하는데 도움을 준다. 본 연구는 Digital Governor의 성능을 확인하기 위해 스팀터빈 플랜트와 동기 발전기를 포함한 시뮬레이터를 HIL(Hardware In-the Loop Simulator)로 구현하였으며, 실시간으로 시스템의 응답을 확인할 수 있도록 소프트웨어로 구성하였다.

디젤기관의 속도제어성능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Speed Control Performance in a Diesel Engine)

  • Recent marine propulsion diesel engines tend to become slower in speed and longer in stroke for the higher engine efficiency, and in these long stroke and slow speed engines the digital governors are highly recommended to be used. But, in the present digital governors only the feedback of the engine rpm-signal is used for the engine speed control and it does not work so effectively when the load variation is large. In this paper, a new method is proposed to improve the speed control performance in a diesel engine, by adding the torque feedback loop to the present digital governor which uses the rpm feedback PID controller only. And also a method is proposed to adjust the parameters of the PID controller optimally.

  • The existing digital governors are in the beginning stage. Placing the focus on the marine site, most of the digital governors developed are still using the simple PID algorithm. But, the performance of a diesel engine is widely changed according to the parameters of the PID controller. So, this article describes a new method to adjust the parameters of the PID controller in a marine digital governor. In this paper, the diesel engine is considered as a nonoscillatory second order system. A new method to adjust the parameters of the PID controller for speed control of a diesel engine is proposed by means of the model matching method. Also, the simulations by numerical methods are carried out in cases of the exact understanding or out of the parameters of a diesel engine respectively. And this paper confirms that the proposed new method here is superior to Ziegler & Nichols's method through the comparisons and analysis of the characteristics of indicial responses.

Development of Speed Controller and its Application to a 680[MW] Rated Steam Turbine

  • An analog type turbine control system in a nuclear power plant in Korea was replaced by a digital type control system successfully. The turbine simulator was used to verify and validate the perfection of newly developed digital control system prior to its actual installation. In this paper, the newly developed turbine speed control system, ie. governor will be introduced together with how to simulate entire control loop. After that, we will compare the comparison of simulation result in laboratory with pre startup simulation result. Eventually the performance of actual operation result was testified.
