  • Digital systems are increasingly being used in the ranges of many control engineering. The residue number system offers the possibility of high speed operation and error correction. The compact self-checking pulse-train residue arithmetic circuit is proposed. A fault tolerant digital filter is practically implemented using these proposed circuits.

  • In this paper, we describe the Color Correction and Preferred Skin Color Reproduction in a ink-jet color printer. The fundamental color correction that converts RGB densities into GMY densities has been ordinarily used. This method can reduce the hue error, but color difference between the preferred skin colors and hardcopy skin colors are large. We have been able to reduce color differences between original skin color and hardcopy skin color by transforming hardcopy skin colors` coordinates into Preferred Skin Colors` coordinates. Experimental results show that the described method is useful and valid for the skin color reproduction in a digital color printer.

  • Recently, the distribution and using of the digital multimedia contents are easy by developing the internet application program and related technology. However, the digital signal is easily duplicated and the duplicates have the same quality compare with original digital signal. To solve this problem, there is the multimedia fingerprint which is studied for the protection of copyright. Fingerprinting scheme is a techniques which supports copyright protection to track redistributors of electronic inform on using cryptographic techniques. Only regular user can know the inserted fingerprint data in fingerprinting schemes differ from a symmetric/asymmetric scheme and the scheme guarantee an anonymous before recontributed data. In this paper, we present a new scheme which is the detection of colluded multimedia fingerprint by neural network. This proposed scheme is consists of the anti-collusion code generation and the neural network for the error correction. Anti-collusion code based on BIBD(Balanced Incomplete Block Design) was made 100% collusion code detection rate about the average linear collusion attack, and the hopfield neural network using (n,k)code designing for the error bits correction confirmed that can correct error within 2bits.

  • Recently, the necessity of spatial data in unaccessible area was challenged to set up various plans and policies for preparing the unification and the cooperative projects between South-North Korea. Therefore, this paper planned to evaluate the possibility of adopting the error tolerance in Geometric correction for 1/5,000 digital topographic mapping, using the PLEIADES images and the TerraSAR GCPs (Ground Control Points). The geometric correction was performed by changing the number and placement of GCPs by GPS (Global Positioning System) surveying, as the optimal placement of 5 GCPs were selected considering the geometric stability and steady rate. The positional accuracy evaluated by the TerraSAR GCPs, which were selected by optimal placement of GCPs. The RMSE in control points were X=±0.64m, Y=±0.46m, Z=±0.28m. While the result of geometric correction for PLEIADES images confirmed that the RMSE in control points were X=±0.34m, Y=±0.27m, Z=±0.11m, the RMSE in check points were X=±0.50m, Y=±0.30m, Z=±0.66m. Through this study, we believe if spatial data can integrate with the PLEIADES images and the optimal TerraSAR GCPs, it will be able to obtain the high-precision spatial data for adopting the regulation of 1/5,000 digital topographic map, which adjusts the computation as well as the error bound.

  • In this paper, we proposed error-reducing method to source or measure a current or voltage for LED in the I-V characteristic analysis system using a digital signal processor (DSP). this method has the advantage of reducing a non-linear circuit error and random error. random error can be reduced using recursive averaging technique and non-linear circuit error can be reduced using 2rd polynomial regression calibration parameters fitting with measured sample data. it corrects measured error of IR, VR, VF1, VF2, VF3 of LED using calibration parameters. experimental results show that can be performed with about 0.017~0.043% accuracy.

  • In this paper, we propose techniques to correct the altitude error and heading error of 3D Pedestrian Inertial Navigation (PIN). When a PIN is used to estimate the location of a pedestrian only with an Inetrial Measurement Unit (IMU) without infrastructure, there is a problem in that the location error gradually increases due to the limitation of the observability of the filter. To solve this problem without additional sensors, we propose two techniques in this paper. First, stair walking is recognized in consideration of the altitude difference that may occur during one step. If it is recognized as stair walking, only Zero-velocity UPdaTe (ZUPT) is performed, and if it is recognized as level walking, ZUPT + Altitude Damping (AD) is performed together to correct the altitude error. Second, the straight-line movement direction is calculated through the difference of the estimated position, and the heading error is corrected by matching this information with the link information of the digital map. By applying these techniques, it is verified through real tests that accurate three-dimensional location information of pedestrians can be estimated without infrastructure.

  • Today any data storage system cannot satisfy all of these conditions, however holographic data storage system can perform faster data transfer rate because it is a page oriented memory system using volume hologram in writing and retrieving data. System can be constructed without mechanically actuating part therefore fast data transfer rate and high storage capacity about 1Tb/cm3 can be realized. In this research, to reduce errors of binary data stored in holographic data storage system, a new method for bit error reduction is suggested. Firstly, find fuzzy rule to use test bed system for Element of Holographic Digital Data System. Secondly, make fuzzy rule table using DNA coding method. Finally, reduce prior error element and recording digital data. Recording ratio and reconstruction ratio show good performance.
