양방향 통신이 가능한 자동화재탐지설비(P형 1급 수신기)의 설계 및 동작특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design and Operation Performance of Automatic Fire Detection Equipment (P-type One-class Receiver) by Bidirectional Communication)

  • In this paper, authors will develop the quick and precise remote controller of automatic fire detection equipment (P-type one-class receiver) based on information communication technology (IT). The remote controller detects the fire and disaster in the building automatically and quickly and then activates the facilities to extinguish the fire and disaster, monitoring such situation in a real time through wire-wireless communication network. The proposed remote controller is applied a programmable logic device (PLD) micom. of one-chip type which is small size and lightweight and also has highly sensitive-precise reliabilities. The one-chip type PLD micom. analyzes digital signals from sensors, then activates fire extinguishing facilities for alarm and rapid suppression in a case of fire and disaster. The detected data is also transferred to a remote situation room through wire-wireless network of RS232c and bluetooth communication, and then the situation room sends an emergency alarm signal. The automatic fire detection equipment (AFDE) based on IT will minimize the life and wealth loss while prevents fire and disaster.

  • A Building Information Model (BIM) is an attempt to simulate the process of building structures in a three-dimensional (3D) digital space. While the technology is usually applied to structured buildings, bridges, and underground facilities, it is rarely applied to an unstructured environment of earthwork operations. If a BIM is used for earthworks, the 3D simulation can be used for construction equipment guidance and earthwork management. This paper presents a real-time, 3D earthwork BIM that provides a 3D graphical simulation of excavators in conjunction with geographic modeling. Developing a real-time, 3D earthwork BIM requires handling a variety of factors, such as geographical information and vehicular movement. This paper mainly focuses on the management of these attributes and provides a database design for storing and retrieving data. In an example application, a prototype of the 3D earthwork BIM is presented to understand what it would provide when used during earthwork operations at a construction site.

  • The purpose of this study was to improve low digestibility in anaerobic digestion facility of the sewage treatment plant. To perform this research, sludge digestion and digestion gas purification facilities in sewage treatment plant was applied. In the result of this study, it was very effective for sludge reduction from the improvement of digestive efficiency. In addition, it was confirmed that high purity $CH_4$ (methane) was produced. This results can be useful as basic data to improve the low digestibility in anaerobic digestion processes.

3D 모델링 기반 빌딩관제시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Building Control System based 3D Modeling)

  • Buildings are becoming more and more high-rise and large-scale in recent years, so in the event of a disaster such as a fire, enormous human and economic damage is expected. Therefore, management, security, and fire control are essential for large buildings in the city. Because these large buildings are very complex outside and inside, they need a three-dimensional control based on 3D modeling rather than a simple flat-oriented control. To do this, this paper designed and implemented a building control system based on 3D modeling. Specifically, we designed a 3D building / facility editing module for 3D modeling of buildings, a 3D based control module for building control, and a linkage module that connects information such as firefighting equipment, electrical equipment and IoT equipment. Based on this design, a building control system based on 3D modeling was implemented.

  • This paper describes an experience on the equipment qualification of CRCS(control rod control system) that has been developed for nuclear power plants. A very high level criteria should be satisfied for the equipment to be used for nuclear power plants. We have developed a CRCS that is aimed to be applied to commercial plants. This system adopts a duplex system structure that is based on the state-of-the-art digital technology so that it has higher reliability than the existing systems. The CRCS has been tested at a licensed testing organization and finally qualified. In this paper, the procedures and some trial-and-errors we have been through in the qualification process are explained. It is expected that our experience will be a helpful tips to the industry that are developing various systems for safety-critical plants.

한국형기동헬기 임무컴퓨터 비행필수기능 설계 (Design on Flight-Critical Function of Mission Computer for KUH)

  • Avionics system tends to be designed to have the integrated architecture, and it is getting difficult and complex to verify the flight-critical function because of sophisticated structure. In Korean Utility Helicopter, mission computer acts as the MUX Bus Controller to handle the data from both communication, identification, mission/display and survivability equipment inside Mission Equipment Package and aircraft subsystems such as fuel system and electrical system while it is interfacing with Automatic Flight Control System and Full-Authority Digital Engine Control via ARINC-429 bus. The Flight Displays which is classified as flight-critical function in aircraft is implemented on Primary Flight Display after mission computer processes data from AFCS in order to generate graphics. This paper defines the flight-critical function implemented in mission computer for KUH, and presents the static and dynamic test procedures which is performed on System Integration Laboratory along with Playback Recorder prior to flight test.

  • 최근 네트워크 산업계에서 기존 전송 망 보다 유연한 망을 구축하기 위한 캐리어이더넷 기술이 부각되고 있으며 MPLS-TP (MultiProtocol Label Switching-Transport Profile) 기술이 해당 영역의 주요 표준 기술로 적용되고 있다. 하지만 MPLS-TP 망내의 장비를 관리하기 위한 관리 망에 대해서는 명확하지 않은 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 MPLS-TP 망 내의 장비 설치 시 부가적 설정 없이 자동으로 관리 망을 구축하는 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법으로 관리시스템과 망 연결을 위한 설정을 최소화 하여 망 내의 장치 설치비용과 유지 관리 비용을 감축할 수 있다. 또한 실제 MPLS-TP 장비에 적용하여 제안하는 방법의 실효성에 대해 검증하였다.

전력기기 열화 진단을 위한 부분방전 모의 및 측정 알고리즘 개발연구 (Investigation of Simulation and Measuring Algorithm of Partial Discharge for Diagnosis of Electric Machinery Deterioration)

  • This paper proposes a new intelligent diagnosis equipment for the partial discharge, which keeps deteriorating the insulating materials inside electric machineries, ultimately leading to electrical breakdown. In order to simulate experimentally the partial discharge inside the electric machinery, the tip-to-plate, the sphere-to-plate, the sphere-to-sphere and the plate-to-plate electrodes are used respectively, of which the gaps are 1[mm], 3[mm] or 5[mm] and the applied voltages are 3[kV], 5[kV] or 7[kV]. Ceramic coupler sensor and FIR digital filter are used to measure the partial discharge and the artificial neural network is used for the deterioration diagnosis of the electric machinery. The microprocessor of PD diagnosis equipment is DSP (TMS320C6713) with FPGA (Cyclone II). The results of the real-time and on-line experiments performed with the developed equipment are also explained.

A Novel Interleaving Control Scheme for Boost Converters Operating in Critical Conduction Mode

  • Interleaving techniques are widely used to reduce input/output ripples and to increase the power capacity of boost converters operating in critical conduction mode. Two types of phase-shift control schemes are studied in this paper, the turn-on time shifting method and the turn-off time shifting method. It is found that although the turn-off time shifting method exhibits better performance, it suffers from sub-harmonic oscillations at high input voltages. To solve this problem, an intensive quantitative analysis of the sub-harmonic oscillation phenomenon is made in this paper. Based upon that, a novel modified turn off time shifting control scheme for interleaved boost converters operating in critical conduction mode is proposed. An important advantage of this scheme is that both the master phase and the slave phase can operate stably in critical conduction mode without any oscillations in the full input voltage range. This method is implemented with a FPGA based digital PWM control platform, and tests were carried out on a two-phase interleaved boost PFC converter prototype. Experimental results demonstrated the feasibility and performance of the proposed phase-shift control scheme.

유해화학물질 취급 중소사업장을 대상으로 한 맞춤형 교육 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Customized Education for Small and Medium-sized Businesses Handling Hazardous Chemicals)

  • Chemical accidents are increasing day by day as the industry develops. To prevent such chemical accidents, Korea enacted the Chemicals Control Act. Through these laws, systematic management of chemical substances began. There are various positions in the companies. hazardous chemical supervisors, equipment and technical human, operators and employees. Chemicals-related education for each position should be provided. As a result of the survey, hazardous chemical supervisors and equipment and technical human liked the overall content of the Chemicals Control Act and the education subject on safety management standards for facilities. Conversely, the operators liked the course on how to wear personal protective equipment. The employees preferred subjects such as classification of chemical substances and prevention of chemical accidents. Currently, various modular textbooks are widely available. Rather than general education, it is necessary to select and provide customized subjects that are preferred and interested according to the position. Then it will be more effective in understanding harzardous chemical substances and in preventing chemical accidents.
