  • This paper proposes a simple MPPT control scheme of a Current-Control-Loop Error system Based that can be obtains a lot of advantage to compare with another digital control method, P&O and IncCond algorithm that is applied mostly a PV system. An existent method is needed an expensive processor such as DSP that calculated to change the measure power of a using current and voltage sensor at the once. Therefore, it is applied a small home power generation system that required many expenses. But, a proposed method is easy to solve the cost reduction and power unbalance problems that it is used by control scheme to limit error of a current control of common sensor. This proposed algorithm had verified through a simulation and an experiment on battery charger using PIC that is the microprocessor of a low price.

  • Digital twin technology can provide significant value for the prognostics and health management (PHM) of critical plant components by improving insight into system design and operating conditions. Digital twinning of systems can be utilized for anomaly detection, diagnosis and the estimation of the system's remaining useful life in order to optimize operations and maintenance processes in a nuclear plant. In this regard, a conceptual framework for the application of digital twin technology for the prognosis of Control Element Drive Mechanism (CEDM), and a data-driven approach to anomaly detection using coil current profile are presented in this study. Health management of plant components can capitalize on the data and signals that are already recorded as part of the monitored parameters of the plant's instrumentation and control systems. This work is focused on the development of machine learning algorithm and workflow for the analysis of the CEDM using the recorded coil current data. The workflow involves features extraction from the coil-current profile and consequently performing both clustering and classification algorithms. This approach provides an opportunity for health monitoring in support of condition-based predictive maintenance optimization and in the development of the CEDM digital twin model for improved plant safety and availability.

  • This paper presents an implementation of digital motion control system of induction motor vector drives with a direct torque control(DTC) using the 16bit DSP TMS 320F240. The DSP controller enable enhanced real time algorithm and cost-effective design of intelligent controllers for induction motors which can be yield enhanced operation, fewer system components, lower system cost, increased efficiency and high performance. The system presented are stator flux observer of current model that inputs are current sensing of motor terminal and rotor angle, and optimal switching look-up table by using fully integrated control software. The developed system are shown a good motion control response characteristic results and high performance features using 2.2Kw general purposed induction motor.

  • In this paper, the new control algorithm is proposed that compensates instantaneously the active and reactive components of the input currents by the synchronous d,q axis conversion of a single-phase current in controlling the single-phase AC/DC parallel converters for a high speed train. The leakage inductance of a transformer was used as a boost inductance and the ripple of a transformer's primary current was reduced considerably by the parallel operation of the two converters with a proper switching phase-shift. The stable and fast control response characteristic is certificated by a simulation.

Harmonic Elimination and Reactive Power Compensation with a Novel Control Algorithm based Active Power Filter

  • This paper presents a power system harmonic elimination using the mixed adaptive linear neural network and variable step-size leaky least mean square (ADALINE-VSSLLMS) control algorithm based active power filter (APF). The weight vector of ADALINE along with the variable step-size parameter and leakage coefficient of the VSSLLMS algorithm are automatically adjusted to eliminate harmonics from the distorted load current. For all iteration, the VSSLLMS algorithm selects a new rate of convergence for searching and runs the computations. The adopted shunt-hybrid APF (SHAPF) consists of an APF and a series of 7th tuned passive filter connected to each phase. The performance of the proposed ADALINE-VSSLLMS control algorithm employed for SHAPF is analyzed through a simulation in a MATLAB/Simulink environment. Experimental results of a real-time prototype validate the efficacy of the proposed control algorithm.

Controller Design and By-Pass Structure for the Two-Stage Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Power Conditioning System

  • In this paper, a systematical controller design method for a twostage grid-connected photovoltaic power conditioning system is proposed. For a pre-stage boost converter to achieve the stable operation in the entire region of solar array, the digital resistive current mode controller is used. This algorithm is very simple to implement with a digital controller and there is no power stage parameter dependency in the controller design. For a post-stage single-phase full-bridge inverter, a PI controller with a feedforward compensation for the inner current control is employed. Furthermore, in case that the operating point of the solar array under varying environmental conditions is higher than the required voltage for the inverter current control, the bypass mode for the boost converter is possible for the more efficient operation. The proposed control scheme is validated through the experiment of the prototype two-stage power conditioning system hardware with a 200W solar array.

  • This paper proposes a new single-phase seven-level grid-connected inverter. Operational principle with switching function are analyzed. A digital proportional-integral current-control algorithm was implemented in a TMS320F28335 DSP to keep the current injected into the grid sinusoidal. To verify the performance of the proposed inverter, PSIM simulation and experimental results are also shown in this paper.

  • A new simple control method for active power filter, which can realize the complete compensation of harmonics is proposed. In the proposed scheme, a model-based digital current control strategy is presented. The proposed control system is designed and implemented in a form referred to as internal model control structure. This method provides a convenient way for parameterizing the controller in term of the nominal system model, including time-delays. As a result, the resulting controller parameters are directly set based on the power circuit parameters, which make tuning of the controllers straightforward task. In the proposed control algorithm, overshoots and oscillations due to the computation time delay is prevented by explicit incorporating of the delay in the controller transfer function. In addition, a new compensating current reference generator employing resonance model implemented by a DSP(Digital Signal Processor) is introduced. Resonance model has an infinite gain at resonant frequency, and it exhibits a band-pass filter. Consequently, the difference between the instantaneous load current and the output of this model is the current reference signal for the harmonic compensation.

Direct Seek Control for Swing-arm Type Dual Stage Actuators in Blu-Ray Disc Drive Systems

  • This paper presents a direct seek control algorithm for swing-arm type dual stage servo system that consists of a coarse actuator and a fine actuator. The proposed scheme is to design a control system that attenuates the effect of dynamic coupling between the two actuators so that the seek operation can be performed in a single-shot with stability. In an optical drive system with dual stage servo mechanism, the effect of dynamic coupling between the two actuators needs to be handled during the coarse seek operation due to its inherent structure. In an extreme case, the two actuators can collide each other, which leads to critical degradation of the seek performance. To handle this problem, our proposed control scheme is to generate the drive signals such that the two actuators behave as if they are a single fixed body. To this end, a feedforward controller and two feedback controllers are designed that enable the current drive system perform wide range of track seek. Simulation results are provided to show the validity and feasibility of our proposed algorithm.

  • 다중 모터를 효과적으로 제어하기 위하여 신호 측정 및 제어 알고리즘 수행 관련 스케쥴링 방법을 제안하고 제어 성능을 검토한다. 차량 내 전자제어시스템과 연계되어 동작하는 다중 모터 제어기는 CAN(Controller Area Network) 통신을 통하여 위치/속도 지령 값을 전달 받고 각 모터에 대한 위치/속도 제어, 전류 제어 등을 수행한다. 하나의 마이크로컨트롤러를 이용하여 다수 대 모터를 효과적으로 제어하기 위하여 내부 자원과 알고리즘 수행에 대한 적절한 스케쥴링이 중요하다. ADC(Analog to Digital Converter) 타이밍과 제어 알고리즘 수행 타이밍을 다양하게 변화시키며 실제 실험을 통하여 다중 모터 제어기의 성능을 분석한다.
