The Attitude on Introduction Method of In-Program Advertising in Terrestrial Broadcasting Television: Comparison of Public and Professional Awareness (지상파 TV에서 중간광고 도입에 대한 태도: 일반인과 전문가 인식비교를 중심으로)

  • Era of multi-channel digital multimedia on the Internet, cable, satellite and IPTV and the growth of new media such as terrestrial broadcast advertising with the poor rating has also dropped sharply. In this situation, terrestrial TV suggesting the introduction of in-program advertising appearing comments. In this study, the introduction of these intermediate advertising the public and professional awareness about the issue by comparing the introduction of in-program advertising feasibility was done in the purpose. Studies on terrestrial TV suggesting the introduction of in-program advertising and public opinion about the differences in perception between experts is high. The introduction of in-program advertising validity of these data for future in-program advertising to provide a basis for enforcement is expected to give.

Calculation of Effective Receiving Electric Field Level using the Measurement Analysis from Actual Domestic DTV Environment (국내 디지털 TV방송 환경 측정결과 분석을 통한 효과적인 수신전계강도 산출)

  • Preparing the conversion to the digital broadcasting system, we are deciding broadcasting network plan and interference protection area, using the measured receiving electric field level from the digital broadcasting station. However, the essential researches are needed about a receiving electric field level, because a digital TV (DTV) broadcasting receiver has been improved and an actual receiving environment should be considered. In this paper, the measured data were classified with domestic terrain of line of sight (LOS) and those of non-LOS, and effective receiving electric field level was proposed based on the LOS data. It is known that receiving electric field-level of 48 ㏈uV/m or more should be required for receiving rate of 90% and 50 ㏈uV/m for that of 95%, on the basis of the information of domestic terrain LOS.

  • This paper presents an integrated low noise and highly linear wideband RF front-end for a digital terrestrial and cable TV tuner, which are used as a part of double-conversion TV tuner. The low noise amplifier (LNA) has a low noise figure and high linearity by adopting a noise canceling technique based on current amplification. The up-conversion mixer and SAW buffer have high linearity by employing a third order intermodulation cancellation technique. The proposed RF front-end is designed in a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS and draws 60 mA from a 1.8 V supply voltage. The RF front-end shows a voltage gain of 30 dB, an average single side-band noise figure of 4.2 dB, an IIP2 of 40 dBm, and an IIP3 of -4.5 dBm for the entire band from 48 MHz to 862Hz.

  • 오늘날 디지털 TV 기술이 컴퓨팅 기술과 융합되면서 디지털 TV가 단순히 디지털 TV 수신만이 아닌, 네트워킹 능력을 갖춘 가전기기로 등장하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 디지털 TV가 일반적으로 대화면인 특징을 활용하여 TV를 수신하면서 다수의 원격지 모니터링을 가능하게 하는 부가 기능을 개발하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 리모콘 인터페이스를 통해 동적 DNS 기반의 웹 사이트에서 원격지 모니터링 대상을 선택하고, 이들에 대한 모니터링 정보를 디지털 TV의 PIP(Picture-In-Picture) 화면으로 전송함으로써 디지털 TV의 부가가치를 제고하는 기술을 연구하였다.

  • To manufacture a real time digital holographic display system capable of being applied to next-generation television, it is important to rapidly generate a digital hologram. In this paper, we analyze digital hologram rendering based on a computer computation scheme. We analyze previous recursive methods to identify regularity between the depth-map image and the digital hologram.

  • In the integrated systems, that is integrated digital TV(DTV) internet and home automation, like home server, is needed integration of digital TV video signal and computer graphic signal. The graphic signal is operating at the high speed and has time-divide-stream. So the re-request of data is not easy at the time of error detection. therefore EDAC algorithm is efficient. In this paper, we show a scheme, that is integration of graphic and dtv format signal for DTV monitor display. This paper also presents the efficiency error detection auto correction(EDAC) for conversion of graphics signal to DTV video signal. A presented EDAC algorithms use the modified hamming code for enhancing video quality and reliability. A EDAC algorithm of this paper can detect single error, double error, triple error and more error for preventing from incorrect correction. And it is not necessary an additional memory. In this paper The comparison between digital TV video signal and graphic signal, a EDAC algorithm and a design of conversion graphic signal to DTV signal with EDAC function in DTV system is described.

  • In this paper, a design method is proposed for the reflection type phase shifter applied to the DTV(Digital TV) receiver, and a phase shifter is designed by using the design equations to satisfy the phase shifting range over 180 degrees for frequency range from 470 MHz to 860 MHz, the receiving band of DTV. From the proposed method, it is possible that the systematic design of the reflection type phase shifter with desired phase shifting range and insertion loss. In addition, it is found that the realized phase shifter satisfies the given specifications.

  • 인터넷 기술의 발달로 기존의 ADSL망에서 VDSL 및 메트로 이더넷으로 진화함에 따라 PSTN망에 의한 전화서비스가 인터넷폰으로 점차 대체되어가며, 수 Kbps 대역폭의 웹캐스팅서비스는 수 Mbps 고화질 인터넷방송이 가능하며, 이러한 통신과 방송의 융합은 하나의 대세로 간주되어, 케이블 사업자의 케이블 모뎀을 이용한 방송 및 초고속 인터넷 서비스에 이어, 통신사업자들도 VOD 및 IP-TV, 인터넷폰을 동시에 제공하는 방안을 준비중에 있다. KT도 홈게이트웨이 기반의 상용 VOD 서비스가 2004년 6월에 개시되어 TV를 통한 홈엔터테인먼트의 초석을 다지게 되었으며 앞으로 IP-TV 및 인터넷폰 서비스를 계속적으로 제공할 예정에 있다. 본고에서는 통신사업자 측면에서 통신 및 방송서비스가 어떻게 융합될 것이며 최신 이슈가 되고 있는 트리플 플레이 서비스 및 전망 그리고 해외 사례를 알아보고, KT에서 제공중인 IP망관련 서비스에 대하여 살펴보기로 한다.
