Occurrences of debris flow are a serious danger to roads and residential located in mountainous areas and cause a lot of property loss. In this study, two basins were selected and spatial data were constructed to simulate the occurred debris flow from mountainous areas. The first basin was to use the Terrestrial LiDAR to scan the debris flow occurrence section and to build terrain data. For the second basin, use drones the sediment in the basin was photographed and DSM (Digital surface model) was generated. And to analyze the effect of the occurrence of debris flow on downstream side, FLO-2D, two-dimensional commercial model, was used to simulate the flow region of the debris flow. And it was compared with the sedimentation area of terrestrial LiDAR and drone measurement data.
Background and objective: Urban topology can be characterized as impervious, which changes the hydrologic features of an area, increasing surface water flow during local heavy rain events. The pluvial flooding is also influenced by the vertical structures of the urban area. This study suggested a modified digital elevation model (DEM) to identify changes in urban hydrological conditions and segmentalized urban micro catchment areas using a geographical information system (GIS). Methods: This study suggests using a modified DEM creation process based on Rolling Ball Method concepts along with a GIS program. This method proposes adding realized urban vertical data to normal DEM data and simulating hydrological analyses based on RBM concepts. The most important aspect is the combination of the DEM with polygon data, which includes urban vertical data in three datasets: the contour polyline, the locations of buildings and roads, and the elevation point data from the DEM. DEM without vertical data (DCA) were compared with the DEM including vertical data (VCA) to analyze catchment areas in Shin-wol district, Seoul, Korea. Results: The DCA had 136 catchments, and the area of each catchment ranged from 3,406 m2 to 423,449 m2. The VCA had 2,963 catchments, with the area of each ranging from 50 m2 to 16,209 m2. The most important finding is that in the overlapped VCA; the boundary of areas directly affected by flooding and the direction of surface water flow could be identified. Flooding data from September 21, 2010 and July 27, 2011 in the Shin-wol district were applied as ground reference data. The finding is that in the overlapped VCA; the boundary of areas directly affected by flooding and the direction of surface water flow could be identified. Conclusion: The analysis of the area vulnerable to surface water flooding (SWF) was more accurately determined using the VCA than using the DCA.
In computer vision, the goal of stereopsis is to determine the surface structure of real world form two or more perspective views of scene. It is similar to human visual system. We can avoid obstacles, recognize objects, and manipulate machine using three-dimensional information. Until recently, only gray-level images have been used as input to computation for depth determination, but the availability of color can further enhance the performance of computational stereopsis. There are many models to provide efficient color system. The simplest model, RGB model treats color as if it were composed of separate entities. Each color channel is processed individually by the same stereopsis module as used in the gray-level model. His Model decouples intensity component from color information. So it can deal with color properties without defect intensity information. Opponent color model is based on human visual system. In this model, the red-green-blue colors are combined into three opponent channels before further processing.

Spatial interpolation of daily temperature forecasts and observations issued by public weather services is frequently required to make them applicable to agricultural activities and modeling tasks. In contrast to the long term averages like monthly normals, terrain effects are not considered in most spatial interpolations for short term temperatures. This may cause erroneous results in mountainous regions where the observation network hardly covers full features of the complicated terrain. We developed a spatial interpolation model for daily minimum temperature which combines inverse distance squared weighting and elevation difference correction. This model uses a time dependent function for 'mountain slope lapse rate', which can be derived from regression analyses of the station observations with respect to the geographical and topographical features of the surroundings including the station elevation. We applied this model to interpolation of daily minimum temperature over the mountainous Korean Peninsula using 63 standard weather station data. For the first step, a primitive temperature surface was interpolated by inverse distance squared weighting of the 63 point data. Next, a virtual elevation surface was reconstructed by spatially interpolating the 63 station elevation data and subtracted from the elevation surface of a digital elevation model with 1 km grid spacing to obtain the elevation difference at each grid cell. Final estimates of daily minimum temperature at all the grid cells were obtained by applying the calculated daily lapse rate to the elevation difference and adjusting the inverse distance weighted estimates. Independent, measured data sets from 267 automated weather station locations were used to calculate the estimation errors on 12 dates, randomly selected one for each month in 1999. Analysis of 3 terms of estimation errors (mean error, mean absolute error, and root mean squared error) indicates a substantial improvement over the inverse distance squared weighting.

In rural areas, composting is a source of non-point pollutants. However, as the quantitative distribution and loading have not been estimated, it is difficult to determine the effect of composting on stream water quality. In this study, composting datum acquired by unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) was verified by using terrestrial LiDAR, and the management status and load change of the composting was investigated by UAV with manual control flight, thereby obtaining the basic data to determine the effect on the water system. As a result of the comparative accuracy assessment based on terrestrial LiDAR, the difference in the digital surface model(DSM) was within 0.21m and the accuracy of the volume was 93.24%. We expect that the accuracy is sufficient to calculate and utilize the composting load acquired by UAV. Thus, the management status of composting can be investigated by UAV. As the total load change of composting were determined to be $1,172.16m^3$, $1,461.66m^3$, and $1,350.53m^3$, respectively, the load change of composting could be confirmed. We expect that the results of this study can contribute to efficient management of non-point source pollution by UAV.
Purpose: UAV-based photo measurements are being researched using UAVs in the space information field as they are not only cost-effective compared to conventional aerial imaging but also easy to obtain high-resolution data on desired time and location. In this study, the UAV-based high-resolution images were used to perform the land cover classification. Method: RGB cameras were used to obtain high-resolution images, and in addition, multi-distribution cameras were used to photograph the same regions in order to accurately classify the feeding areas. Finally, Land cover classification was carried out for a total of seven classes using created ortho image by RGB and multispectral camera, DSM(Digital Surface Model), NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), GLCM(Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix) using RF (Random Forest), a representative supervisory classification system. Results: To assess the accuracy of the classification, an accuracy assessment based on the error matrix was conducted, and the accuracy assessment results were verified that the proposed method could effectively classify classes in the region by comparing with the supervisory results using RGB images only. Conclusion: In case of adding orthoimage, multispectral image, NDVI and GLCM proposed in this study, accuracy was higher than that of conventional orthoimage. Future research will attempt to improve classification accuracy through the development of additional input data.
Photogrammetry using drone can produce high-resolution ortho image and acquire high-accuracy 3D information, which is useful. Therefore, this study attempted to determine the possibility of using drone-photogrammetry in park construction by producing a topographic map using drone-photogrammetry and analyzing the problems and accuracy generated during production. For this purpose, we created ortho image and DSM (digital surface model) using drone images and created topographic status map by vectorizing them. Accuracy was compared based on topographic status map by GPS (global positioning system) and TS (total station). The resulting of analyzing mean of the residuals at check points showed that 0.044 m in plane and 0.066 m in elevation, satisfying the tolerance range of 1/1,000 numerical maps, and result of compared lake size showed a difference of about 4.4%. On the other hand, it was difficult to obtain accurate height values for terrain in which existed vegetation when producing the topographic map, and in the case of underground buried objects, it is not possible to confirm it in the image, so direct spatial information acquisition was necessary. Therefore, it is judged that the topographic status map using drone photogrammetry can be efficiently constructed if direct spatial data acquisition is achieved for some terrain.

In this study, the Digital Surface Models of various spatial resolutions were constructed using LIDAR point data on Digital Photogrammetric System. Then, the accuracies of each DSM's were evaluated using GPS surveying data. And also, observable features were classified and their accuracies were evaluated to verify the availability for Ground Control Point. On Socet Set, Digial Photogrametric System 5 DSM's of which spatial resolutions were 0.15m, 0.5m, 1.0m, 2.5m and 5.0m were constructed and the accuracies of eahc DSM's evaluated in RMSE. The RMSE's of each DSM's were 0.03m, 0.05m, 0.08m, 0.12m and 0,19m. The building feature was observable in DSM's of which spatial resolutions were 0.15m, 0.30m and 0.50m. On the contrary, it could hardly be observed in those of other spatial resolutions. In comparison with the digital map at the scale of 1:1,000, the DSM at the spatial resolution of 0.lim was shifted horizaltally by 0.6m-0.7m of RMSE in each X, Y direction. Therefore, GCP of which horizontal RMSE is better than 1m can be obtained from the DSM at the spatial resolution of 0.15m, of which vertical RMSE is 0.03m-0.19m as the RMSE of DSM. This point cannot be used in aerial triangulation of cartography but can be used for GCP in modeling of satellite image at the moderate resolution.

The purpose of this study is to produce digital elevation model (DEM) in the Jebu tidal flat, one of the west coast of the Korean Peninsula, by means of photogrammetric techniques from aerial digital stereo-images. Produced DEM would be become the fundamental data for change detection of the sediment and erosion. To do so, epipolar line is established by relative orientation. Area-based matching is then carried out based on this line and matching size according to surface property of tidal flat after a classified image is produced from reflectance and texture of the surface. As the results, DEM generated by the proposed method showed subtle changes in height more precisely than DEM using the fixed matching size and DEM by the commercial S/W in the region, such as tidal flats having few level differences.
The determination of soil characteristics is important in the simulation of rainfall runoff using a distributed FLO-2D model in catchment analysis. Digital maps acquired using remote sensing techniques have been widely used in modern hydrology. However, the determination of a representative parameter with spatial scaling mismatch is difficult. In this investigation, the FLO-2D rainfall-runoff model is utilized in the Yongdam catchment to test sensitivity based on three different methods (mosaic, arithmetic, and predominant) that describe soil surface characteristics in real systems. The results show that the mosaic method is costly, but provides a reasonably realistic description and exhibits superior performance compared to other methods in terms of both the amount and time to peak flow.
