Recently, the public offices are going to be an important role of CIP(City Identity Program) and be a center of citizen's community activities. So, the aspect of the universal design (UD), the space performance assessment for a disable user is invaluable to designing the public office spaces. Purpose of this paper is to provide basic data for better design of public office space based on UD(universal design) principle. Conclusion based on the finding are as follows; First, checklist of environmental assessment for public space was composed of 7 basic principles of UD and 3 additional principles(aesthetic appreciation, maintenance and eco-design). Second, as the result of assessment, accessible and inclusive design is more necessary. Third, local characteristics should be developed and managed deliberately as to public space design. As the result of that, public office space design should an important part of reducing the isolation that was caused by physical and social disability. From now on, in public office space design, the integrated and continuous design program that is based on UD principle and eco-design will be necessary.

This paper intends to predict characteristic of the balcony space composition in apartment that residents want by analyzing floorplans utilizing balcony that is directly described by housewives in competitions. According to change of age, Modern's lifestyle is variously changed and future housing life may undergo changes continuously. Therefore, development of apartment housing plans is reflected by grasping and collecting space residents desire. Purpose of study is 1) arrangement characteristic of balcony space housewives prefer 2) relations characteristic between balcony and room adjoining balcony 3) characteristic of balcony space composition Through this study, the public space that family use together prefer facing the front side and the kitchen is required to face the front side. Balcony adjoining bedroom is utilized according to user of the bedroom, and independent space like hobby room do not have distinctive relationships with adjacent space. Recent trend that space is reflected in various lifestyle of resident require needs that exercise room for well-being life and other room for various functions. Based upon the study, the results show the basic information and understanding how the plans are supposed to change, particularly to facilitate the usage of the balcony.

Recently people show interest in cultural exhibition space targeting on children from the birth of children to play and education. Accordingly, lately the necessity of professional special exhibition space, which is composed of changeable program fit to the children trend of a growth period, and shows relatively more freedom and adaptability in directing the theme than permanent exhibition, have increased rapidly. Today the social importance of special exhibition for children is emphasized as an alternative that can provide efficiently the expression of freedom and the environment of experimental space which is not filled in existing academy or school. The necessity of special exhibition space for children is raising to the climax at this moment, this study has the meaning to analyze the direction of domestic special exhibition for children progressed in last 1 year, and then to suggest basic guide and direction for future plan of special exhibitions.

Perceiving the depth of space in the spatial organization of architecture is perceiving spaces as well three dimensions as the fourth dimensions -perceive the time-. Physical depth in architectural space differs from perceptional depth in aspects of not only dimension but also perceptional effects. In this study, the perceptional depth is defined as visual depth and physical depth is depth of space. These purposes of this study are classifying the perceptional effects of visual depth -visual access, sense of variety, dynamic and cubic effect... - and the methods of spatial composition which causes visual depth in architectural space.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the structural system used in modern architecture and the form and spatial composition of the buildings. The principle in stabilization of structures is closely related to the architectural form. That is, in order to stabilize a building, a special type of structural system is required and consequently shows up with consistent characteristics in the architectural form. Modern architecture can be classified into skeleton structure, trusses structure, and space structure according to the structural characteristics. Skeleton structure is then divided into a perpendicular form and tapered form. Trusses structure is categorized as dome-shaped structure and slab-shaped structure, and space structure can be divided into compressible space structure and tensile space structure. When classifies the modern building with the aspect of architectural effect, there is a possibility of trying to divide with effect of production, and its expression. Effect of production mean structural system and effect of expression mean space and plan.

This study is aimed to analyze the method of movement expression in the Space-Time of Modern Visual Art. According to the results of analysis. the following is obtained. (1) The still object is perceived by the sense or optical illusion, and its whole image is made through the information processing prodedure. The concept of Space-Time is integrated into the constructivist works by the composition of image through transforming the position of the fundamental geometry and projecting it. (2) The traditional notion that the work of art is still concept of is changed. The movement of observer is caused by inducing the direction and concept of time through the object in three dimensional space.

This study attempts to examine and to analyze the characteristics of transparent materials and its methods to apply in space. the ability to see through a physical element, whether it is clear glass, sandblasted acrylic, or a delicate fabric, can have a dramatic and sensory effect on the overall perception of a space. The various range of Transparent materials and product in glass, plastic, fabric, and grid now gives us the potential to maximize the flow of light in our enclosed space. This research will explore how transparent, translucent, and semi-opaque elements can be used within the interior with full range of see-through materials. The transparent materials can be divided in two level - as structural elements and as stylish accessories. A glass partition or floor, metal mesh stairs can create divisions or link one space to another while maintaining effective levels of natural light. there is also various level of products from glass chair to basin. With the enthusiasm for using transparent materials, transparent materials will be more decorative and powerful application while still maximize the highest possible flow of light.

In space syntax, the mathmatical process to get a integration could be restrictive in understanding spatial configuration since it is based on only one behavior model. In this study, As another approach to spatial configuration analysis based on behavioral model, there is the simulation tracking analysis model that simulates the movements of human in the space and analyze them. In this study, the relationship between integration and behavioral model will be defined and the similarities and the differences between space syntax and the simulation tracking analysis model will be demonstrated. Furthermore, these two analysis models will be understood as a variety of tools that can analyze an object in multiple viewpoints.

Retinex-based image enhancement is a technique that utilizes the property that the human visual characteristics are sensitive to the difference from the surrounding pixel value rather than the pixel value itself. These Retinex-based algorithms show different characteristics of the improved image depending on the applied color space or gamma correction. In this paper, we set eight different experimental conditions according to the application of color space and gamma correction, and analyze the objective and subjective performance of each Retinex based image enhancement algorithm and apply it to the implementation of Retinex based algorithm. In the case of gamma correction, quantitative low entropy images and low contrast images are obtained. The application of Retinex technique in HSI color space rather than RGB color space is found to be high in overall subjective image quality as well as maintaining color.
