An Analysis on the Distribution Structure of Internet Knowledge Exchange Markets (인터넷 지식거래소의 지식정보유통 실태분석)

  • This paper aims to analyze distribution structure of commercial Internet knowledge exchange markets. To that end, it has four specific study goals. First, define the type and volume of information available at the Internet knowledge exchange market as well as that of market users. Second, analyze distribution structure of the Internet knowledge exchange market. Third, identify current issues regarding infringement of intellectual property rights and conduct a survey to understand current standing of Internet knowledge exchange markets' IPR violation. Forth, assess application of Digital Rights Management(DRM) to Internet knowledge exchange markets and DRM's role in controlling unauthorized copying and illegal uses.

  • The widespread use of the Internet has led to the problem of intellectual property and copyright infringement. Digital rights management (DRM) technologies have been developed to protect digital content items. Digital content can be classified into static content (for example, text or media files) and dynamic content (for example, VOD or multicast streams). This paper deals with the protection of a multicast stream on set-top boxes connected to an IP network. In this paper, we examine the following design and architectural issues to be considered when applying DRM functions to multicast streaming service environments: transparent streaming service and large-scale user environments. To address the transparency issue, we introduce a 'selective encryption scheme'. To address the second issue, a 'key packet insertion scheme' and 'hierarchical key management scheme' are introduced. Based on the above design and architecture, we developed a prototype of a multicasting DRM system. The analysis of our implementation shows that it supports transparent and scalable DRM multicasting service in a large-scale user environment.

  • It is issued that protecting and managing a copyright are very important to a digitization of multimedia contents. We analyze the trend of a multimedia service, IPMP(Intellectual Property Management and Protection), DMP(Digital Media Project), ENTHRONE(End-to-end Qos through Integrated Management of Content, Networks and Terminals), and DRM(Digital Rights Management). All of these techniques are for developing solution about protection and management of the copyright and media service. These have been at the head of the growth of the whole media service, but cause problems such as a illegal copy and distribution. To solve these problems, researchers are performing many projects.

  • Super-distribution is essential for revitalization of digital contents industry in DRM system. Since existing DRM systems emphasize on security for intellectual property rights, it became restrictions to content distribution and the consumer rights. This paper suggests license management mechanism which strengthen super-distribution between consumers. It is to manage distribution history for each content by inserting consumer's identification information in content head. Client can verify security by comparing header and license after issuing license. It classifies the type of distribution and license, and then applies adaptive distribution methods. It can revitalize contents distribution by releasing proper license for super-distribution.

  • We have several kinds of DRM(Digital Rights Management) solutions which protect and control a content based on the cryptography. The current technology of DRM focuses on the content management in the purchaser. It doesn't consider the content management in the other principles like creator, provider, and distributor and doesn't provide the efficient environments of a content distribution. In this paper, we propose a digital content distribution system which processes a content and metadata with electronic copyright management.

  • 컴퓨터 보급 증가와 인터넷 발전으로 다양한 종류와 다량의 디지털 데이터들이 제작, 유포되고 있다. 디지털 컨텐츠는 기존 아날로그 컨텐츠와 비교할 때 생성, 가공, 유통, 분배 등의 측면에서 많은 장점을 갖는 반면, 원본과 동일한 복사본을 쉽게 생성할 수 있는 특징 때문에 디지털 창작물에 대한 저작권 보호가 중요시 본다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 컨텐츠 보호 기술로 각광 받고 있는 DRM(Digital Rights Management)기술에서 컨텐츠 유통 시 개인키가 노출될 경우 비인가자에 의한 컨텐츠 불법접근이 가능해지는 취약성에 대한 개선책으로 PDMS (Publlic-Key Distributed Management System : 개인키 분산관리 시스템)를 확장 적용하는 방안에 대하여 논한다.

  • 일반적으로 스트림 방식의 DRM(Digital Rights Management)시스템은 한번에 하나의 컨텐츠만을 구매할 수 있다 그러므로 다중 디지털 컨텐츠의 구매 시에 매번의 인증, 지불, 라이센스 획득 단계가 필요하다. 게다가 구매한 모든 컨텐츠의 라이센스 키들의 안전한 저장 공간이 필요함으로 라이센스 키 관리의 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 Atallah와 Li[1]의 스마트카드를 이용한 라이센스 키 관리 방식의 문제점을 지적하고, 스트림 방식의 DRM 시스템에서 다중 컨텐츠 구매를 위한 효율적인 다중 라이센스(multi-license) 서비스를 제안한다.

  • In order to adapt the digital rights management community for the standardisation of expressing rights information in the libraries' content for the control of the rights of the digital works, it is necessary to establish rights information, that can build effective system of the distribution structure by the public ownership of the rights information and the interoperability of system. This research developed rights information constructing system in order to protect and enforce their rights over digital assets and embodied utilizing use-process of rights information.

  • Beyond the digital world from the analog age, the contents are very easily copied under the illegal conditions and these are rapidly distributed by the information super highway. The increase of ilegal usage and conflict in digital content market would diminish motivation of creators for their work, furthermore break down digital content market on cyberspace. Watermarking technology support to the legal users by the protection technique based chi the digital content copyright protection method(DRM). Most of previous digital watermarking have embeded to the content. In this paper, we have researched the standardization of digital rights management and developed more efficient watermark embedding method.
