A Study on the Digital Implementation of Multi-layered Neural Networks for Pattern Recognition (패턴인식을 위한 다층 신경망의 디지털 구현에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, in order to implement the multi-layered perceptron neural network using pure digital logic circuit model, we propose the new logic neuron structure, the digital canonical multi-layered logic neural network structure, and the multi-stage multi-layered logic neural network structure for pattern recognition applications. And we show that the proposed approach provides an incremental additive learning algorithm, which is very simple and effective.

SHD Digital Cinema Distribution over a Fast Long-Distance Network

  • We have developed a prototype super-high-definition (SHD) digital cinema distribution system that can store, transmit, and display eight-million-pixel motion pictures that have the image quality of a 35-mm film movie. The system contains a movie server, a real-time decoder, and an SHB projector. Using a Gigabit Ethernet link and TCP/IP, the server transmits JPEG2000 compressed motion picture data streams to the decoder at transmission speeds as high as 300 Mbps. The received data streams are decompressed by the decoder, and then projected onto a screen via the projector. By using an enlarged TCP window, multiple TCP streams, and a shaping function to control the data transmission quantity, we achieved real-time streaming of SHD movie data at about 300 Mbps between Chicago and Los Angeles, a distance of more than 3000 km. We also improved the decoder performance to show movies with Image qualities of 450 Mbps or higher. Since UDP is more suitable than TCP for fast long-distance streaming, we have developed an SHD digital cinema UDP relay system, in which UDP is used for transmission over a fast long-distance network. By using four pairs of server-side-proxy and decoder-side-proxy, 450-Mbps movie data streams could be transmitted.

  • To fuly utilize the availability of the ISDN, it is very important to develop the ISDN user terminals which can provide various user services. In this paper, the basic concept of the ISDN user terminal is briefly studied and, based on this study, a stimulus type digital telephone which can be connected directly to the ISDN is designed. This digital telephone can provide the basic voice service and has general functions such as voice encoding / decoding(PCM is used), user-network signalling, digital tone supply, channel selection, key pad and atatus display. Echo cancellation method is adopted for the digital subscirber loop transmission and user-network signalling is implemented according to the LAPD(Link Access Procedure on D-channel) protocol recommended by the CCITT's recommendations I.440-I.441. The validity of designed S/W and H/W functions are verified by testing them with ISDN circuit switching emulator described in the first part of this paper.

  • In this paper, a Neural Network(NN) based approach for classification of two dimensions images. The proposed algorithm is able to apply in the actual industry. The described diagnostic algorithm is presented to defect surface failures on tiles. A way to get data for a digital image process is several kinds of it. The tiles are scanned and the digital images are preprocessed and classified using neural networks. It is important to reduce the amount of input data with problem specific preprocessing. The auto-associative neural network is used for feature generation and selection while the probabilistic neural network is used for classification. The proposed algorithm is evaluated experimentally using one hundred of the real tile images. Sample image data to preprocess have histogram. The histogram is used as input value of probabilistic neural network. Auto-associative neural network compress input data and compressed data is classified using probabilistic neural network. Classified sample images are determined by human state. So it is intervened human subjectivity. But digital image processing and neural network are better than human classification ability. Therefore it is very useful of quality control improvement.

  • NAT로 운영되는 private network에서 IP 전화 시스템을 지원하기 위해서는 caller 단말, gatekeeper 서버, callee 단말간에 교환되는 H.225.0 메시지와 H.245 메시지의 NAT 주소 변환이 동적인 방법으로 투명하게 이루어져야한다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 NAT 가 탑재된 라우터와 gatekeeper 서버를 연동하는 구조를 제안한다. 제안한 방식은 gatekeeper 와 NAT 라우터 사이에 주소 변환을 위한 정보교환용의 channel 을 여는 단계, gatekeeper 가 외부 단말로 향하는 H.225.0, H245 메시지를 받았을 때 NAT 라우터에게 private 주소 정보를 알려주는 단계, NAT 라우터가 gatekeeper로부터 private 주소정보를 받았을 때 public 주소 정보를 할당하여 gatekeeper에게 알려주는 단계, gatekeeper가 할당받은 public 주소 정보를 반영하여 외부 단말로 향하는 H.225.0, H.245 메시지를 재생성하는 단계 마지막으로 호가 종료될 때 gatekeeper 가 NAT 라우터로부터 할당받은 NAT 자원을 반환하는 단계로 구성된다. 이러한 연동 구조를 사용함으로써 NAT 환경에서 H.323 개체들간의 signalling 메시지와 음성 데이터의 송수신을 보장할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we propose a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) proxy system, to provide services for accessing and sharing various DLNA-based media contents which are distributed over his/her or other's home facilities via home network or internet. The proposed system based on DLNA[1] and SIP Notification mechanism[2] so that data such as contents can be transferred from home network consisted with private IP from outside public IP networks.

  • In this paper, a new self-oscillated type high voltage charger controller circuit is proposed, which has variable constant current source characteristics to improve charge characteristic of charger roller. The proposed control method enables high quality printing characteristics regardless of the circumstance change such as ambient temperature or humidity by changing the current reference signal. To verify the proposed control method various experiments are performed.

  • MGCP는 IETF에서 제안한 VoIP기술의 표준 프로토콜로서 특유의 단순함(Simplicity)을 이용하여 다른 프로토콜과의 연동을 용이하게 구현할 수 있도록 설계되었으며, 현재 다양한 시스템과 프로토콜로 구성되어 있는 망을 통합하기 위한 적절한 해결책으로 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MGCP기반의 AX-Gateway 시스템의 설계기법에 관하여 기술한다. MGCP기반의 AX-Gateway 시스템은 H.323과의 연동을 위하여 내부적으로 자신에게 연결된 Endpoint의 상태정보를 유지하도록 설계하였다. 이러한 구조를 통해 자신에게 전달되는 호처리 요청에 대한 유효성을 MG 차원에서 검사함으로써, Call Agent의 부하를 줄여 시스템의 안정성과 성능 향상을 기대할 수 있다. 이렇게 구현된 AX-Gateway 시스템의 성능을 측정하기 위하여 통화음질과 지연, 최대 동시 통화 사용자의 수를 측정한 결과를 나타내었다.

  • This article reviews the current infrastructure of multi-media network which has significant implications to digital library development and the networked information service. Network information service which is based on the digital technology has become quite popular in recent post-Web environment. But it is not easy and simple to develope digital library system with the rapid media innovation and digital network technology The existed multimedia network infrastructure need to be observed precisely and discussed critically in the context of economy and policy development for digital library service.
