There have been proposed various copyright protection protocols in network-based digital multimedia distribution framework. However, most of conventional copyright protection protocols are focused on the stability of copyright information embedding/extracting and the access control to data suitable for user's authority but overlooked the privacy of copyright owner and user in authentication process of copyright and access information. In this paper, we propose a solution that builds a privacy-preserving proof of copyright ownership of digital contents in conjunction with keyword search scheme. The appeal of our proposal is three-fold: (1) content providers maintain stable copyright ownership in the distribution of digital contents; (2) the proof process of digital contents ownership is very secure in the view of preserving privacy; (3) the proposed protocol is the copyright protection protocol added by indexing process but is balanced privacy and efficiency concerns for its practical use.

In this paper, we present a multi-watermarking method for a copyright protection and confidentiality for an original digital image. One watermark is used for a copyright protection and another for a copyright protection and another for a confidentiality and a detection of unauthorized copies.

본 연구는 디지털콘텐츠의 법적 보호를 논의하기 위하여 디지털콘텐츠의 정의, 범위 및 특성을 고찰하였다. 미국, EU 및 일본을 중심으로 디지털콘텐츠의 보호를 규율하는 법률과 최근의 움직임에 대해 검토하였다. 우리나라에서 디지털콘텐츠를 보호하는 법률로서, 저작권법과 온라인 디지털콘텐츠산업 발전법의 내용과 특징 등을 분석하였다. 이어서 도서관에서의 디지털콘텐츠와 저작권과의 관계를 데이터베이스 콘텐츠, 원저작물의 번역 편곡 변형 각색 영상제작 등에 의한 디지털콘텐츠, 기타 디지털콘텐츠, 디지털콘텐츠의 파일공유 부분으로 대분하여 분석하였고, 문제점을 논의하였다. 이와 함께 디지털콘텐츠와 관련해서 도서관이 취해야 할 바람직한 저작권 대응조치를 구체적으로 제시하였다. 끝으로 본 연구는 우리가 궁극적으로 지향해야 할 디지털콘텐츠의 법적 보호의 개선방향을 제시하였다.

In this paper, we propose a device to track the location of illegal reproduction and monitor illegal reproduction by testing with digital watermark in order to protect copyright of digital contents and prevent massive distribution through illegal reproduction.

본 연구는 디지털도서관의 복제.전송과 관련된 저작권보호 환경을 조사하여 분석 평가하고, 제반문제점을 식별하여 개선방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 데이터수집은 저작권법에 의하여 디지털복제 전송이 허용된 50개 도서관을 대상으로, 시스템 도입 및 복제 \ulcorner전송 현황을 조사하고, 저작권법에서 의무화한 6개 기술조치를 이행한 5개 도서관 이용자를 표집하여 디지털자료의 이용 및 저작권에 대한 인식을 조사하였고, 기초통계량을 고찰하고 빈도분석과 교차분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과, 산업대학 도서관을 제외한 거의 모든 도서관이 디지털도서관시스템을 도입하고 있으나. 디지털복제(68.0%) .전송시스템(84.0%) 도입비율은 높은 반면, 저작권보호시스템(26.0%) 도입비율은 낮다. 조사대상 도서관의 84.0%가 전문을 디지털화하고 있으나, 대부분 5천건 미만의 자료를 디지털화하였으며. 저작권을 확보하여 터지털화하는 도서관은 33.3%로 낮게 나타났다. 저작권보호를 위한 법적 규제가 제대로 이행되지 못하고 이행 수준도 낮으며, 이용자의 전자책에 대한 인지도와 이용률은 낮은 편이며 저작권에 대한 인식 또한 낮다.

High-quality digital broadcasting contents are susceptible to illegal copy and unauthorized redistribution, which makes broadcasters difficult to protect valuable media assets. So, broadcasters and content providers need the technology for copyright protection of professional digital content. Digital watermarking technology is one of the most actively developed solutions for the copyright protection. This paper suggests the requirements of watermarking technology in DTV(Digital TV) environment for copyright protection and shows the developed real-time watermark embedding/detecting system for HD(High Definition)/SD(Standard Definition) video and experimental results of the system against watermark attack tests. Our watermarking system meets the watermarking requirements of invisibility, robustness and security of DTV environment.

Digital works such as computer programs, music, photographs, movies and dramas are copyrighted. Even if there were more than 1,000 violations per year for digital works, the punishment was very weak. Especially copyright infringement by teenager is increasing. This study aims to present the direction of future development through questionnaires on the perception and direction of college students about copyright. 157 college students were surveyed about copyright awareness, perception of detailed legal provisions, cost of monthly expenses, copyright violation, and direction of copyright protection. As a result of the questionnaire survey, awareness was high at 69%, but in detailed law was low at 17.2% and 22.3%. In the future direction of copyright policy, 72.6% of them answered that they should be "strengthened" and "more and more strengthened". In order to protect copyrights, enforcement of crackdowns, public relations activities, expansion of the legal market, and technical protection should be done. In order to do this, copyright-related education for elementary, middle, high school and college students are needed more and it is necessary to expand the legal market where high quality contents are traded. More research is needed on copyright protection technological methods.

Electronic Copyright Management System is the technical solution to protect copyright and to manage the distribution of digital contents in network environment. This paper examined the theoretical plane of Electronic Copyright Management System and analyzed the characteristics and the protection technologies of some of the commercial systems. And this paper investigated the essential protection technologies and payment systems that is needed to develop and manage the successful system in the future. Finally this study suggested the fundamental function model of Electronic Copyright Management System.

In the past, the judicial circles in the Republic of Korea (ROK) were generous to the online copyright violations of computer software compared to other academic areas or offline violation. However, they started to reconsider such a practice since the FTA talks with some advanced countries began so that new laws had to be established, especially after the first round of negotiations with United States of America (USA) in 2006 during which they changed their views on the matter. Now it became possible to penalize digital copyright violations through lawsuits, and from March 1st, 2017, the court is expected to abolish the nonsuit system for teenagers. Thus, this paper has reviewed the ethical aspects involved in digital copyright protection and examined the possible alternatives, dividing them into three broad groups, before proposing a digital copyright protection curriculum for secondary education.

디지털 저작권 보호는 저작자의 지적인 재산권과 그에 기울인 노력의 보호 측면에서 중요하며 디지털 콘텐츠 산업의 발전을 위해 매우 중요하다. 하지만 디지털 콘텐츠는 복제가 용이하고 원본과 복사본이 동일하다는 특성으로 인해 저작권의 보호와 대량 불법 복제 및 불법 유통 방지에 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. CDN에서 디지털 콘텐츠 제공자들은 공동으로 저작된 디지털 콘텐츠에 대한 저작권 보호 방안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 공동으로 저작된 디지털 콘텐츠에 대한 저작권 보호를 위하여 부인방지 다중기법을 사용하였다. 부인방지 다중기법에 대한 효율성을 입증하였다.
