  • Informative contents Industry shows stable capital structure, excellent profit index high growth rate and high productivity on the average in step with the evolution of digital technology, but it shows the aggravating trend gradually in almost all the indexes. It is because the enlargement of supply market proceeds so faster than the increase of market demand that the competition is intensified and relatively easy to advance into the market according to the development of informative contents industry. The exploitation of new market and the reclamation of new technology are needed to contrive the continuous prosperity of informative contents industry, and to achieve this, it is needed to support from politic financing and taxation politic aspect.

  • Korean Cultural Content Industry is developing creative cultural content based on internationally acknowledged manufacturing capacity, however, in order to become cultural industry with international competitiveness, it has to be planned and made in OMSU way. This research studied and analyzed successful cases of cultural content digital restoration and excellent cases of OSMU-type that has been developed and supported by Korean Culture and Contents Agency. This study suggests the direction of growth on the basis of movement of cultural content industry and cultivating plan of human resources.

  • The digital contents industry has now become the most important industry in the 21st century. Among the various digital contents industries, the animation industry has emerged as a higher value-added culture contents business with a strong possibility of growth from the field of image and character to the copyright area. Yet, the overall market structure has not been consolidated except for a few successful projects because of the sharp decline in domestic animation and the upward trend in global animation business. Due to reduced investment in producing TV animations, OSMU is an essential alternative for the animation industry. In this research, we aim to analyze the development of the domestic animation industries by studying the actual condition of OSMU for broadcasting contents.

A Study on the Archiving of Webtoon (웹툰의 아카이빙 방안 연구)

  • The environment of using digital devices has been developed day by day, as mobile communication network has been fast and smart phone and tablet PC have been spread. When the environment changing, the contents consumers prefer have been changing too. The Webtoon became the representative contents of 'Snack culture'. The webtoon has led the growth of cartoon market for years recently instead of the slow comics growth. And it places its elf as contents on a firm basis, as it has been adapted to another genre such as Pay, Flm, TV Drama. Now it's expected to be an extgeneration contents that will lead Han-ryu(Korean wave). Though the webtoon has important and strong presence, there is no digital archive for collecting and preserving the webtoon, Korean Cartoon Contents Agency started making 'webtoon archive', but the groundwork and the study on the webtoon that represents digital culture contents are not enough a lot. In this study, the cases on digital archiving of culture contents in Korea are researched, and the direction on webtoon archiving that has just started is also discussed. The Archiving of webtoon that can't be seperated from digital contents is connected with archiving of digital culture contents in direction where they should be headed to.

  • This study explored which policies can be win-win strategies among internet portals and digital content providers. With taking the professional advise by interview and descriptive Questionnaires, the study suggested which governmental policies may be the mutual and proper winning strategies in internet industry, specifically between internet portal sites and content providers. Researcher kept in contact with five opinion leaders in this field and proposed thirteen candidate policies, which can give implications to the related governmental agencies, internet portals and contents providers. Some of these suggested policies may have been done and are being done conservatively in some area. But, in order to positively activate and develop the domestic digital contents industry, this study emphasized that the related agencies should perform the progressive policies and assign the financial supports to internet industry.

  • The development of mass media along with technology development is accelerating the development of diverse contents. Among others, the role of music contents is now extended to be applicable to the overall cultural contents thus, the market is growing at a rapid speed. As the music market transforms from the record market to the digital music source market, the creation, distribution, and marketing techniques of digital sound contents become different. Likewise, the music industry has been dynamically changed and came to even demand a paradigm shift in the music industry. This study is meaningful in that it aimed to contemplate additional on-going issues for developing the music industry, such as national policy and support, amendment of related laws, and public awareness, and to suggest an aim to head for.

  • This study aims to diagnose the present condition of the Digital comics industry, including the "webtoon", which is receiving attention as the new Korean wave (Hallyu) cultural content, and explore ways to vitalize these contents. Considering the fact that the distribution rate of smart devices in Korea is the highest in the world as of June 2013, and that comics as contents have been known to show the easiest and fastest adaptation to changes in the media, the Digital comics industry is certainly an area with high expected growth, but its actual size of the industry shows a very low growth rate compared to other digital contents. This study analyzes the present condition of the Digital comics industry through theoretical and precedent study, and deducts 7 major factors that inhibit the growth of Digital comics industry by summing up the industry structure through making surveys of major businesses in the industry. Further, problems and possible solutions of the digital comics industry are discussed through in-depth interviews with total 10 digital comics industry experts. Building a ecosystem based charged service, realizing a total management system, government support and improvements on restrictions are discussed as solutions to a sustained growth of the Digital comics industry.

  • The world is interested and actively investing in culture and its cultural contents industry has grown very much. Cultural contents industry is the concentration of human creation and knowledge and the Internet and digital technology have greatly impacted such creation and knowledge. This paper presented a method of digitalization of regional cultural resources, voluntary digitalization strategies, and a method of building an innovative cluster of cultural contents industry. The proposed plan would become the future growth engine of cultural tourism industry.

  • Economic crisis, efforts to overcome the digital content industry development at home and abroad have been racing in the country's future lies in the digital content industry. Therefore, the digital content industry through vision, model identification knowledge-based global digital content market-based deployment is required. For research purposes the digital content industry to derive an alternative to national industrial development that will lay the groundwork. The deployment order for the first digital content industry, SWOT analysis performed to derive the Korean-specific model. As a result, measures based on the advancement of digital content industry as a long-term vision and specific goals are presented as staged. The age of convergence of the u-media content markets in government, corporations, consumers, and these form the structure of a virtuous cycle distribution systems for energy by being active, synergistic effects are obtained. Above all, based on the content industry to secure internal and external growth is key. Vision of the digital content, the growth momentum of the national social development policies to be used as a role model by changing the way a series of courses is required.
