  • 본 논문에서는 급증하는 사회적 문제인 자살에 대해 가상현실 체험을 통해 예방할 수 있는 콘텐츠 설계를 제안한다. 엔터테인먼트 형태의 콘텐츠로 뇌파 측정을 하여 자살증후군을 가진 대상자를 선별하고 이에 따른 자살동기 유형별 적합한 자살예방콘텐츠를 설계하는 것이다. 콘텐츠 설계는 자살예방을 위한 검증된 프로그램을 적용하고 사용자의 자연스러운 몰입을 유도하도록 VR 기기를 활용한다. 콘텐츠 사용을 통하여 수집된 데이터 분석으로 오프라인 전문가의 심층적인 치료 및 교육이 가능하도록 연계한다. 본 논문에서 설계된 콘텐츠를 이용하여 자살에 대한 경각심을 주거나 예방을 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • This paper presents a user preference description for graphics contents that is developed in the process of the MPEG-21 DIA(Digital Item Adaptation) standard. The description scheme in this paper is proposed by the authors and adopted in the current AM (Adaptation Model) document of the MPEG-21 DIA. The goal of MPEG-21 standard is providing a multimedia framework that Provides augmented and transparent use of digital contents across various networks and terminals fur the life cycle of digital contents. DI (Digital Item) is a standardized basic unit of digital contents for transaction in the scope of MPEG-21. DIA contains both media resources and metadata including rights information.

  • The copyright law only protects the creative representation of works because it conditionally requires a creativity aspect of works. Due to the lack of protection regime in existing laws and the systems, the online digital contents industrial development act has been enacted to alternatively protect the digital contents providers based on a principle of preventive of illegal competition.

  • This paper proposes a Distributed Transaction models based on the multimedia framework (MPEG-21) in digital convergence environment. Digital media market is growing up rapidly according to the extension of internet and universality of multimedia contents. So, importance of the effective management with the production and distribution of produced multimedia contents is becoming larger. For effective management of multimedia contents, the multimedia contents which are represented with different standard each other can be processed adaptively in the variable network environment. A free compatibility among the different terminals and standards are the essential particular should be offered for the digital convergence environment. A multimedia framework supports this compatibility and various multimedia services. In this paper, the Distributed Transaction models that multimedia contents can be circulated among the individual users safely and freely are proposed and the relation technologies are described.

  • This study explored which policies can be win-win strategies among internet portals and digital content providers. With taking the professional advise by interview and descriptive Questionnaires, the study suggested which governmental policies may be the mutual and proper winning strategies in internet industry, specifically between internet portal sites and content providers. Researcher kept in contact with five opinion leaders in this field and proposed thirteen candidate policies, which can give implications to the related governmental agencies, internet portals and contents providers. Some of these suggested policies may have been done and are being done conservatively in some area. But, in order to positively activate and develop the domestic digital contents industry, this study emphasized that the related agencies should perform the progressive policies and assign the financial supports to internet industry.

  • In this paper, we propose a traffic light detection and recognition (TLDR) algorithm in the daytime. The proposed algorithm utilizes the color and shape information for the TLDR. At first, a traffic light is detected and recognized based on its shape information. Then, the color range of the detected traffic light is investigated in HSV color space. The input data of the proposed TLDR algorithm is the color image captured using the black box camera during driving. Our simulations demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve a high detection and recognition performance for the images including traffic lights.

  • The purpose of this paper is to find an policy vision and action plans for the growth of the Korean cultural contents industry as a new growth power in the 21th century. For this purpose, I referred to sundry records to analyze the characteristics, industrial situation and the prospects of the cultural contents industry. I also made an analysis on the outcome of the cultural contents policy with the help of the official concerned in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which made it possible for me to draw a few urgent problems of Korean cultural contents industry. With these preceding analyses, I proposed the strategy and action plans of the government policy for the Korean cultural contents industry as follows : strengthening the creative power of the cultural contents industry, systemizing the healthy circulation of the cultural contents, and improvement of the cultural welfare on the basis of contents.

  • As a high-speed growth of internet infrastructure and a fast supply of digital imaging devices, a digital image contents industrialization is growing fast. Digital image contents are represented as digitalized images for recognition by the computer. This paper proposes the customized stock image contents management system for digital image contents developers and UCC contents producers. For automatic batch management of image contents, we design the system using the techniques of stock image meta-data conversion to want, image contents format conversion to want and selective image contents uploading to want. Furthermore, constructed system can be embedded to a system easy and fast. It provides efficient work environment as appling conventional systems and contributes for user-friendly interface construction.

On the reading method of Korean old poetry in the digital age (디지털 시대 고전시가 읽기)

  • This study is on the reading method of Korean old poetry in the digital age. Now days, we are living in digital media. The method of getting, organizing, and producing information is changed a lot. So for keeping pace with this change, we should reflect our teaching method. Of course, the purpose of our reflection is not to follow digital media's method and change or alter existing reading or teaching method, but it is to identify proper own reading strategy of old poetry and adjust existing method for our student who are skilled with digital media. We propose three kinds of method for student readers in school. These are 1) starting like a newspaper reader, 2) getting context (reading, making hyperlink), and 3) figuring as an architect (reading as space or scenery creator). In addition, we think about recent tendency that Korean old poetry is de-constructed and re-constructed as digital contents in digital space. We call it digitalizing of old poetry. The experiencing old poetry as a digital contents is different from reading old poetry, so we cannot alter old poetry reading experience into experience of digital contents. In conclusion, digitalizing contents should be used restrictively to fertilize reading experience of original old poetry.

  • This paper tries to solve the problems which previous methods have such as the WCDRM(Watermark and Cryptography DRM) and the model using smart card for protecting digital contents. This study provides a contents distribution model to protect the rights of author, distributor, and user as well as user's information by using technologies such as cryptography, DRM(Digital Right Management), access control, etc. The proposed system is evaluated as the most safety model compared with previous methods because it not only solves the problems which the previous methods have, but also protects four type of risks such as use of contents which other mobile devices download, the attack on the key to decode the message, the attack on leaking the contents, and the internal attack such as an illegal reproduction.
