  • This study analyzed the performance of the national fishing port development project, which lacked ex-post impact evaluation despite a lot of investment in terms of fishery income opportunities. Using micro data from the Census of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, the sales amount of fishery products and the proportion of fishery-related businesses were used as performance indicators. The fishery households in the fishing port area (treatment group) and those not in the area (control group) were classified through data pre-processing, and factors unrelated to the fishing ports were controlled using the propensity score matching difference-in-difference method. The analysis target is six fishing ports with large investment in from 2010 to 2014. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the sales of fishery products increased significantly in four of the six fishing ports, and the proportion of fishery-related businesses increased in two fishing ports. The analysis method of this study can be fully utilized in the evaluation of the Fishing Community New Deal 300 Project, which is in need of performance analysis.

Comparison of Ultrasonic Velocities between Direct and Indirect Methods on 30 mm × 30 mm Spruce Lumber

  • This study investigates the relationship between ultrasonic velocity and density in the direct method, the effect of distance between transducers in the indirect method, and the difference between the direct and indirect methods with transducers placed at a distance of 200 mm in nondestructive ultrasonic testing of spruce lumber. The direct method using 54 kHz ultrasonic transducers was applied to two planes, namely, radial section (LR) and tangential section (LT) of samples. The indirect method measurements were taken using the same transducers. Two velocities were measured at the top and bottom of the LT plane and at the two sides of the LR plane; the two values for each plane were averaged. The relationship between density and ultrasound velocity in the direct method demonstrated a positive correlation between the two variables. The difference between the two planes, LT and LR, was not statistically significant. Moreover, the distance between the transducers in the indirect method affected ultrasound velocity, with the ultrasonic velocity increasing as the distance between the transducers became larger. A transducer distance of 200 mm yielded a close approximation of the direct method results with a ratio of 0.87. Finally, no statistical evidence of a difference between the two planes in the indirect method was found. If the direct method, which requires access to two surfaces, is impractical, the indirect method can be applied.

  • We introduce and discuss a new numerical method for solving system of second order boundary value problems, where the solution is required to satisfy some extra continuity conditions on the subintervals in addition to the usual boundary conditions. We show that the present method gives approximations which are better than that produced by other collocation, finite difference and spline methods. CUBIC SPLINE METHOD FOR SOLVING TWO-POINT BOUNDARY-VALUE PROBLEMS

  • In this paper we use uniform cubic spline polynomials to derive some new consistency relations. These relations are then used to develop a numerical method for computing smooth approxi-mations to the solution and its first second as well as third derivatives for a second order boundary value problem. The proesent method out-performs other collocations finite-difference and splines methods of the same order. numerical illustratiosn are provided to demonstrate the practical use of our method.

  • We present an efficient and accurate finite-difference method for computing Black-Scholes partial differential equations with multiunderlying assets. We directly solve Black-Scholes equations without transformations of variables. We provide computational results showing the performance of the method for two underlying asset option pricing problems.

MLS차분법을 이용한 재료비선형 문제 해석 (Development of MLS Difference Method for Material Nonlinear Problem)

  • 본 연구는 재료비선형 문제를 다루기 위한 비선형 MLS 차분법의 정식화 과정을 제시한다. MLS 차분법은 절점모델을 기반으로 고속 미분근사식을 활용하여 지배 미분방정식을 직접 이산화 하는데, 변수를 변위로 일원화한 Navier 방정식을 사용하여 탄성재료 문제를 다룬 기존의 MLS 차분법은 재료의 구성방정식을 별도로 고려할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 비선형 재료의 구성방정식을 반영할 수 있는 강정식화를 위해 1차 미분근사를 반복 사용하는 겹미분근사를 고안했다. 응력의 발산으로 표현되는 평형방정식을 그대로 이산화하고 Newton 방법을 적용하여 반복계산을 통해 수렴해를 찾는 비선형 알고리즘을 제시했다. 응력 계산과 내부변수의 갱신은 return mapping 알고리즘을 활용하였고, 알고리즘 접선계수(algorithmic tangent modulus)의 적용을 통해 빠르고 안정적인 반복계산이 가능하도록 하였다. 재생성 시험을 통해 겹미분근사의 정당성을 검증했고, 비선형재료에 대한 인장문제의 해석을 통해 개발된 비선형 MLS 차분 알고리즘의 정확성과 안정성을 확인하였다.

회분식 생물반응기를 이용한 BDOCrapid와 BDOCslow 결정 (Determination of BDOCrapid and BDOCslow using Batch Bio-reactor)

  • In this study, biodegradable organic matter was divided into a rapidly biodegradable fraction($BDOC_{rapid}$) and a slowly biodegradable fraction($BDOC_{slow}$) for various waters with different types of DOC. These fractions($BDOC_{rapid}$ and $BDOC_{slow}$) were defined by using a shaking incubation method modified from Carlson's method. Also, in this study, optimum incubation time and accuracy were investigated to determine $BDOC_{rapid}$ and $BDOC_{slow}$. When suspended bacteria obtained from raw water and BAC effluent, or attached bacteria from BAC was respectively used as an inoculum, the difference in total BDOC($BDOC_{total}$) was minimal. Therefore, total BDOC was determined in 7~8 days by the shaking method, which is comparable with Servais's method by which BDOC was determined in 28 days. In addition, the difference of BDOC between these two methods was within 7%. Although $BDOC_{rapid}$ and $BDOC_{slow}$ were effectively determined by a method defined by Klevens, the difference in optimal incubation time was significant for different water samples. However, when using the shaking method, optimal incubation time for $BDOC_{rapid}$ was found to be 3 days, therefore, the $BDOC_{rapid}$ was defined as the difference between $DOC_0$ and $DOC_{3days}$, and $BDOC_{slow}$ was defined as the difference between $BDOC_{total}$ and $BDOC_{rapid}$. As a conclusion, for determining the fraction of BDOC using the shaking method, the concentrations of an inoculurns and optimal incubation times used in this study were very effective.

교정용 레진장치의 레진주입방법에 따른 기계적 특성 (Mechanical properties by resin injection method of orthdontic acrylic resin)

  • 가철성 교정장치에서 주로 사용하고 있는 자가중합 레진인 Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)는 현대 치의학 분야에서 주로 쓰이고 있는 아크릴릭 레진이다. 장점으로 색과 체적의 조직 친화성, 안정성 등 있어 치과에선 교정장치 재료로 오랫동안 사용해 왔다. PMMA의 제작은 활성화 방법에 따라 자가중합방식과 열중합 방식으로 나눌 수 있다. 자가중합 레진은 치과 교정장치로 오래동안 사용되고 있다. 레진의 주입방법은 크게 적층법(sprinkle-on method)와 혼합법(mixing method)이 있다. 본 연구에서는 교정장치의 레진 주입방법에 따른 기계적 특성인 강도, 탄성계수 경도, 표면조도를 실험 해보고자 한다. Orthodontic PMMA 의 직사각형 시편 (1.4×3.0×19.0 mm)에 3점 굽힘강도 실험한 결과 강도에선 유의한 차이가 없었다. 경도 역시 유의한 차이가 없었다. 표면조도도 큰 차이가 보이지 않았다. Orthodontic PMMA는 교정용 장치의 레진주입 방식에 따른 기계적 특성의 유의한 차이가 없음을 확인하였다.

디지털 카메라를 이용한 2D 인체계측법 연구 (A Study on a Measurement Method for 2D Anthropometry using Digital Camera)

  • This study suggests the new 2D anthropometric method using digital camera. It is used MK2001 program that can convert 2D measurements to 3D measurements. To improve that it is measured 100 college students with direct and indirect anthropometric method. The measurements were processed by the SPSS ver10 Statistical Package. The average, standard deviation, and t-test were calculated for each category. Most measurements by 2D measurements are higher than direct measurements but degree. The difference between direct and indirect measurements is less than 2cm. In the results of t-test, height measurements including other 16 measurements which is easy to measure have no meaningful difference within 1cm. The depth measurements are most high difference. The result of each measurement proves that MK2001 program (2D anthropometry method using digital camera) is available for measuring the human body.

  • This paper propose a conversion method to reduce prediction error produced when PRA(Pel Recursive Algorithm) motion estimation method is used in real image. The method is th get a spatial difference image from a given raw image and then to apply any PRA method to the difference image. The algorithm proposed in this paper is compared with several algorithm including the ubiquitious Netravali and Robbins` based on the performance and the hardware complexity. Computer simulation shows that the difference image conversion method is about 4.5dB better than the other algorithm with regard to prediction error power.
