통과대역 내 평탄도를 개선한 휴대인터넷 대역 유전체 공진기 여파기 설계 (Design of a Dielectric Resonator Filter with Improved Flatness Passband for WiBro band)

  • Many mobile communication systems require bandpass filter with sharp skirt characteristics and consequently a filter was formed by more order. It needs to improve flatness in passband. In this paper, amplitude equalizer was used to improve the flatness of passband. We modified Chebyshev prototype filter by use of network synthesis and computed the prototype elements for Shaping filter. We designed and realized a 13-order combline bandpass filter and 4-order amplitude equalizer with coaxial dielectric resonators at WiBro band. The measured results show $\pm$0.82 dB amplitude difference in passband, 6 dB improved flatness.

  • A RF amplitude equalizer is designed to improve in-band flatness of Rf filters and/or systems using two dielectric resonators and a 90$^{\circ}$ hybrid. The equalizer has good return loss characteristics and V shaped S$_{21}$ response in passband which is suitable to compensate the ripple degradation due to insufficient quality factors of used resonators or narrow band width of filters or systems. After being connected to the equalizer, a 5-pole BPF at 1957MHz, which has 10 MHz bandwidth and 6㏈ ripple, shows only 1.8㏈ in-band ripple and good in- and out- band matched responses within used hybrid bandwidth without additional matching networks.

  • Microwave dielectric properties of A1$_2$O$_3$ ceramics resonator were investigated with impurity addition. Increasing the contents of Bi$_2$O$_3$Q-value and Q $\times$ f were increased. In the specimen with the content of Bi$_2$O$_3$(0.3wt%), dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency(TCRF, $\tau$$_{f}$) had a good values of 10.76,23,253(at 9.68[GHz]) and -39.09(ppm/$^{\circ}C$), respectively. The TCRF value was decreased with MnO$_2$ and increased with Sm$_2$O$_3$. La$_2$O$_3$.>.

  • LTCC(Low temperature Cofiring Ceramics)기판의 고주파특성 평가에 있어서, 기판은 전극 패터닝 공정 방식이 결합된 하나의 시스템으로 평가되어야 한다. LTCC의 경우 시스템마다 상이한 소결 수축 과정, 전극과 기판의 접합 특성(matching) 차이, 사용 도체간 전기 전도도의 차이 등으로 인해 유전 특성 및 신호손실이 차이를 나타내었다. 본 논문에서는 FR-4, Duroid, Teflon등 기존의 상용 PCB(Printed Circuit Board) 와의 상대적인 비교를 통해 현재 사용되고 있는 LTCC 기판의 주파수 응용도를 확인하였으며, 20 ㎓까지 측정을 수행하였다. 측정방식으로는 Ring 공진기와 Series-Gap 공진기를 활용한 마이크로 스트립 공진기 방법을 채택하였으며, 실험 결과 기판손실 측정은 Ring 공진기 방식이 유효하였으며 유전률 측정은 Series-Gap 공진기 방식이 유효함을 확인하였다. 또한 주파수 증가에 따라 LTCC 기판의 전극 패터닝 방식이 시스템의 손실에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다.

DR을 이용한 대역통과 필터 설계 (The Design of BPF with Dielectric Resonators)

  • 본 논문에서는 비유전율 38을 갖는 유전체 공진기를 이용하여 S-Band 내 대역폭 20MHz를 갖는 대역통과 필터를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제작에 사용한 유전체 공진기는 $TE_{01{\delta}}$ 모드로 동작하며 중심이 관통된 링형이다. 대역통과 필터는 여섯 개의 유전체 공진기를 이용하여 6-Pole로 구성하였으며 비인접 결합을 통해 타원함수 응답을 구현하였다. 대역통과 필터는 대역폭 내에서 평균 0.97dB의 삽입손실과 25dB 이상의 반사손실을 나타내었다. 비인접 공진기 간의 결합특성으로 체비세프 응답 대역통과 필터에 비해 주파수 선택도를 더욱 향상시킬 수 있었다.

유전체 원주공진기법에 의한 고주파 유전특성 측정에 관한 연구 (Study on the Microwave Dielectric properties in the Dielectric Rod Resonator Method)

  • Measurement factors for the dielectric properties of low dielectric loss materials (tan${\dalta}{\le}10^{-4}$) were investigated using the dielectric rod resonator method. It was shown that the relative conductivity (${\sigma}_{r}$) should be controlled within a 5% to obtain the standard deviations of less than 0.07 for permittivity .epsilon.r and 0.06${\times}10^{-4}$ for tan.delta.respectively. Surface resistivity (R$_s$) could be reduced when the surface roughness of parallelled conducting plate was less than 0.07 .mu.m. Measurement error for the permittivity was $\pm$0.02% independent of probe loop size, whereas the error in Q value was reduced with the decrease in probe loop size and also with the increase in the absolute values of Q. Reliable Q values were determined with the probe loop size of less than 4mm. The accurate for the distance between the measuring probe loop and the sample could be obtained when the insertion loss of resonant frequency ranged -15dB - -30dB.

  • 본 논문에서는 향후 인체 내장형 의료기기의 무선충전 및 지금까지는 발생하지 않은 다양한 유전체 내부로의 무선전력전송 시 유전체 매질의 전자기적 특성에 따른 효율 및 공진주파수 변화에 대한 공진기의 최적화 설계를 위해 공진기의 정전용량(capacitance)을 조정하는 방법과 공진기의 전후 표면에 공기층(air pocket) 설치 방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구결과는 추후 공진기를 둘러싼 다양한 유전체 환경에 대한 공진주파수의 설계 및 복원에 대한 기초 연구 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

  • In measuring the microwave surface resistance of high-Tc superconductor (HTS) films using the dielectric-loaded cavity resonator method, one of the most important factors that limit the measurement sensitivity is the measurement error in the loss tangent ($tan\delta$) of the dielectric rod placed inside the cavity. We have measured the effective surface resistance ( $R_{S}$ $^{eff}$) of$ YBa_2$$_Cu3$$_{7-{\delta}}$ (YBCO) films and the $tan\delta$ of rutile ($TiO_2$) using the 'two-tone'method suggested by Kobayashi et at. [IEEE, MTT-S Digest, 495, (2001)], which enables simultaneous measurements of both the $R_{S}$ $^{eff}$ fof HTS films and the $tan\delta$ of the rutile with high sensitivity. A rutile-loaded cavity resonator with the $TE_{012}$ and $TE_{021}$ resonant frequencies at 13.67 - 14.01 GHz is used for this purpose. At temperatures where the two modes do not couple with other modes, the $R_{S}$ $^{eff}$ of YBCO films and $tan\delta$ of rutile measured by the two-tone method appear to match well with the corresponding values measured using the reported $tan\delta$ values of sapphire within 10 %. Usefulness of the 'two-tone' method for microwave characterization of HTS films and dielectrics is discussed.d.ielectrics is discussed.ussed.

  • In this paper, A VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator) in use of clock recovery/data regeneration circuit for 10 Gbps fiber optic receivers was developed. The improved hair-pin resonator with a parallel coupled lines, which has been applied to microstrip filters, was used as a resonance part. As a frequcncy tuning device by substituting 3-terminalMESFET vaaractor for varactor diode, an MMIC manufacturing process will be simplified. Since a hair-pin resonator is planar type compared to the dielectric resonator and has a relatively flat reactance verus frequency, it will be favorable to apply a hair-pin resonator to an MMIC, in addition wideband frequency tuning range is able to be obtained.

임피던스 공진기를 이용한 FR-4 임베디드 광대역필터 (FR-4 Embedded UWB Filter using Uniform Impedance Resonator)

  • In this paper, a novel embedded ultra wideband (UWB) band-pass filter is presented on a FR-4 package substrate including high Dk resin coated copper (${\varepsilon}_r=30$) film. The proposed UWB filter is comprised of a parallel resonator with meander-type uniform impedance resonator (UIR) and two series resonators with high Q circular stacked spiral inductor and metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitor. In order to obtain excellent attenuation characteristics by generating attenuation poles in lower and upper stop bands, a single MIM capacitor is added to each resonator. The fabricated FR-4 embedded UWB filter has insertion loss of -1.0dB and return loss of -11dB, respectively. It has also extremely wide bandwidth (over 50%) and small size ($3.7{\times}4{\times}0.77\;mm^3$) which is compatible with LTCC devices.
