In order to develop experimental research in oriental medicine, it is necessary to make experimental model of diagnostic pattern(證), On model of the condition of a disease maked in china, there are cold-pattern(寒證), heat-pattern(熱證), deficiency of vital energy-pattern(氣虛證), blood-deficiency-pattern(血虛證), yin-deficiency-pattern(陰虛證), yang-deficiency-pattern(陽虛證), deficiency of both yin and yang-pattern(陰陽俱虛證), yang-exhaustion-pattern(亡陽證), blood stasis-pattern(血瘀證), pattern of defferential diagnosis according to states of viscera(臟腑辨證).
Objective : The purpose of this paper is to report the improvement of patient with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS) treated by herb medication based on Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods : According to 'Disease Pattern Identification Diagnostic System based on Shanghanlun Provisions', the patient was diagnosed with Eumyangyeokchahunobok-byung, number 393 provision, and took Jisilchija-tang herb medication for 75days. The changing symptom of chronic fatigue syndrome was estimated by QOL-CFS(Chalder Fatigue Scale) and VAS(Visual Analogue Scale). Results : The QOL-CFS changed 21 to 8 and VAS changed 10 to 1. Conclusions : It is existing theory that Eumyangyeokchahunobok-byung is caused by 'having too much sex relation'. But the author diagnosed Eumyangyeokchahunobok-byung as 'Symptoms worsen when awaken at night, and sleep at day caused by poor sleep pattern' according to the palaeography about shanghanlun, and got a good results.
Objectives : The 7-zone-diagnostic system is a diagnostic device to predetermine bodily locations by measuring the energy of body. This study was to investigate the relation between the different patterns of Zone 1, 2, 3 of Factor AA in CP-6000A(VEGA, Germany), 7-zone-diagnostic system and clinical parameters. The purpose of this study was relation Korean traditional medicine and western medicine with the data from 7-zone-diagnostic system and the clinical parameters. Methods : This study was carried out with the data from some clinical parameters. We made three groups according to the Factor AA patterns of CP-6000A. The Factor AA pattern of Group A is that the red bar graph of zone 1, 2, 3 were higher than the normal range and the others were the normal range. The Factor AA pattern of Group B was that the red bar graph of zone 1, 2, 3 was the normal range and the others were the normal range. The Factor AA pattern of Group C was that the red bar graph of zone 1, 2, 3 was lower than the normal range and the others were the normal range. After the data from clinical parameters to correspond with conditions of each group were selected, the data from clinical parameters among each groups analyzed statistically. Results : The values of GOT, GPT, r-GPT, Triglyceride, BUN, Uric acid of group A was higher than group C. Gastroscope of group A and B was higher than group C. Conclusions : It is thought that the red bar graph of zone 1, 2, 3 is higher, the group has the higher energy and the energy has a character of fire(熱). Those patterns have a high risk of hyperlipermia and liver, stomach disease.
Purpose: Oral lichen planus (OLP) has generated many discussions and been associated with much controversy for a long time. A reliable diagnosis of OLP has proven challenging and significant disagreements concerning its diagnosis has continued. Therefore, the aim of this study was to apprehend newly proposed diagnostic criteria of OLP and oral lichenoid lesion (OLL) and to evaluate difference of final diagnosis of OLP and OLL in accordance with type of diagnostic criteria. Also, direct immunofluorescence (DIF) was compared to evaluate the value of DIF between two groups. Methods: Fifty-two patients with DIF result were retrospectively reviewed. The selected patients were classified by the modified World Health Organization (WHO) diagnostic criteria of OLP and OLL and by criteria proposed by American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (AAOMP). Results of DIF in OLP and OLL were classified by deposition intensity or pattern of fibrinogen. The classification of fluorescence pattern in each specimen was graded as positive, possibly positive or negative. Results: Patients diagnosed as OLP were a few more when the modified WHO diagnostic criteria were used than when criteria proposed by AAOMP were used. There was no statistical difference of DIF between OLP and OLL by applying the WHO modification criteria or criteria proposed by AAOMP. Conclusions: The final diagnosis of OLP could be changed in accordance with type of diagnostic criteria and difference of DIF between OLP and OLL was not found.
This paper reports an investigation conducted on two diagnostic methods based on the switching voltage pattern of IGBT open-circuit faults in voltage-source inverters (VSIs). One method was based on the bridge arm pole voltage, and the other was based on bridge arm line voltage. With an additional simple circuit, these two diagnostic methods detected and effectively identified single and multiple open-circuit faults of inverter IGBTs. A comparison of the times for the diagnosis and anti-interference features between these two methods is presented. The diagnostic time of both methods was less than 280ns in the best case. The diagnostic time for the method based on the bridge arm pole voltage was less than that of the method based on the bridge arm line voltage and was 1/2 of the fundamental period in the worst case. An experimental study was carried out to show the effectiveness of and the differences between these two methods.
[1] and [2] present an approach to diagnosing possible defects in the mechanical systems of a nuclear power plant. In this paper, by using a fault library as a database and training data, we develop a diagnostic algorithm 1) to decide whether an Air Operated Valve system is sound or not and 2) to identify the defect from which an Air-Operated Valve system suffers, if any. This algorithm is composed of three stages: a neural net stage, a non-neural net stage, and an integration stage. The neural net stage is a simple perceptron, a pattern-recognition module, using a neural net. The non-neural net stage is a simple pattern-matching algorithm, which translates the degree of matching into a corresponding number. The integration stage collects each output and makes a decision. We present a simulation result and confirm that the developed algorithm works accurately, if the input matches one in the database.
This paper describes syntactic pattern recognition algorithm for pattern recognition and diagnostic parameter extraction of ECG signal. ECG signal which is represented linguistic string is evaluated by pattern grammar and its interpreter-LALR(1) parser for pattern recognition. The proposed pattern grammar performs syntactic analysis and semantic evaluation simultaneously. The performance of proposed algorithm has been evaluated using CSE database.
Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the clinical validity of the system by conducting a clinical study to assess the diagnostic agreement between the system and Korean medical doctors. Methods: This study was conducted from September 7, 2023, to December 7, 2023, across five Korean medicine institutions, involving 100 adult participants aged 20-64 who consented to participate. Participants first entered their symptoms into a web-based program, which utilized an AI-based algorithm to diagnose 36 types of pattern differentiation. Subsequently, Korean medical doctors conducted face-to-face diagnoses using the same 36 types. The diagnostic agreement between the system and the doctors' diagnoses was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, and the results were expressed as a percentage agreement. Results: Analysis of the diagnostic data from 100 participants revealed that the web-based diagnosis support system identified an average of 7.76±0.79 patterns per patient, while Korean medical doctors identified an average of 7.99±0.10 patterns per patient. The diagnostic agreement between the system and the doctors showed an average of 7.08±1.08 patterns per patient, with an overall diagnostic agreement rate of 88.57±13.31%. Conclusion: This study developed a web-based diagnosis support system for traditional Korean medicine and evaluated its clinical validity by assessing diagnostic agreement. Comparing the diagnoses of the system with those of Korean medical doctors for 100 patients, the system showed an approximately 89% agreement rate with the clinical diagnoses. The system holds potential for aiding Korean medical doctors in pattern differentiation diagnosis in clinical practice.
