  • We constructed 3-D images by HMD (Head Mount Display) type and polarization technique through which a training instrument of binocular function based on clinical vision therapy was developed and investigated its demand. To design the instrument that performs Test- Diagnosis - (Prescription) - Training - Treatment we provided a customized training method for the trainers using optical IT instruments of binocular test. Through the contents and the instruments of the vision therapy technology developed in this work we can replace the current vision test instruments to those costing 60% lower price in eye clinics and eye glasses shops. By replacing the existing vision test instruments it is possible to create a new market of the vision therapy in vision training instruments.

  • According to development of power electric technology from industrial field to electronic home appliances, recent SMPS using semiconductor is spread widely. Electric converting instrument uses a sine wave voltage source, namely an usual power source, and it gets a non-sines power source from power source because current flows through one part in waveform of one cycle. This injects higher harmonic source in source part, absorb pollution source. And this cause quality deterioration, durability shortage of electric power instrument, spreading accident of electric solver system, and so on. It can't supply an electric source of good quality in industry, so become an impedimental element in improving productivity and reliance. This study can be used in prediction of hindrance and diagnosis material and intends to suggest a countermeasure about measurement data.

  • Major technologic advances in fiberoptic light transmission, video cameras, and instrumentation have allowed great advances in small-joint arthroscopy. Arthroscopy in particular is now well established procedure for accurate diagnosis and operative management of certain ankle disorders. The small size of the ankle and significant periarticular soft tissue structures make placement and advancement of the arthroscope and instrumentation more difficult than in larger joints. Successful arthroscopy of the ankle requires knowledge of the regional anatomy and a familiarity with the available arthroscopic portals. This review article is going to describe the gross and arthroscopic anatomy of the ankle as it relates to current arthroscopic techniques. Particular emphasis is placed on the anatomic relations of the important osseous and soft tissue structures for a safe, reproducible approach to arthroscopic treatment of ankle pathology. Also, current arthroscopic equipment and instruments are included.

  • Recently, there have been emerging research activities in classifying the Sasang constitution objectively by machine-based methods. The concordance rate of the classification by the pulse wave features was, however, only around 50% up to now. In this paper, we introduce a novel classification algorithm that can promote the accuracy substantially at the expense of the non-classifiable subgroup as a byproduct. For instance, with the pulse wave features alone, we show that female/male subject group in their 20s can be classified into the Sasang constitution group with the concordance rate of 68.4%/65.5% for a subgroup of 57/29(31%/15%) subjects out of 184/195, by leaving the other subjects as the non-classifiable group. Next, we show that the pulse diagnosis has been used only as a supportive tool in determining one's constitution, and consequently the accuracy of the concordance ratio by the pulse wave features alone cannot exceed a finite value, which we estimate to be about 60%.

  • Purpose: This study was performed to propose an ontology methodology based on standardized nursing process as framework in obstetric and gynecologic nursing practice. Methods: The instrument used in this study was based on the nursing diagnosis classification established by North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) (2009-2011), fifth edition of the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) (2008), forth edition of the Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) (2008) developed by Iowa State University and systematized nomenclature of medicine clinical terms (SNOMED CT). The nursing records data were collected from electronic medical records of one hospital from August to October 2010. Results: One hundred and forty-one nursing diagnosis statements used in obstetric and gynecologic nursing unit were linked standardized nursing classifications and constructed nursing diagnosis ontology including interoperability. Conclusion: Not only will this result be helpful to complete nurse's lack of knowledge and experience, it will also help to determine nursing diagnosis logically by using standardized nursing process. It will be utilized as the method to construct ontology including interoperability in other nursing units. It will be presented nursing interventions according to nursing diagnosis and thus will be easier to establish nursing planning. This can provide immediate feedback of the nursing process application.

  • Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to analyze and evaluate prior studies published in Korea on the cardiovascular disease-related quality of life, in order to make recommendations for further research. Methods: A total of 15 studies were selected from four databases(Digital library of Research Information Center for Health, Korea Medical Database, MedRic, and National Assembly Library). The selected studies were analyzed according to criteria, such as diagnosis/operation, used instrument, generic/specific instrument, dimension of quality of life, translation/ back-translation, sample size, reliability, validity, responsiveness, number of items, type of scale, time required, and independent variables. Results: Of the 15 cardiovascular disease-related quality of life studies, approximately half of them were conducted with hypertension or ischemic heart disease patients. All studies asserted that the concept of quality of life had multidimensional attributes. With respect to the questionnaire used for measuring the quality of life, only one study used a cardiovascular disease specific-instrument and most studies did not consider whether or not the validity of their instrument had been established. In addition, when using questionnaires developed in other languages, only one study employed a translation/back-translation technique. The types of variables tested for their influence on quality of life were quite limited. Conclusion: It is recommended to develop a reliability and validity established cardiovascular disease specific-quality of life for Korean patients and to identify associated new variables.

  • The paper presents an effective method for finding the propagation structure of the real origin of a system malfunction. It uses a combined system model consisting of Structural Model (SM) in the form of Fuzzy Directed Graph and Behavior Model (BM) as a set of Fuzzy Relational Equations $A\;{\circ}\;R\;=\;B$. Here a specially proposed fuzzy inference technique is checked and investigated. Finally a test example for fault diagnosis of an industrial system is given and analyzed.

  • We have developed a remote diagnosis system using the LAN and MODEM which enables a routine check for a patient remotely. We used $LabVIEW^{TM}$ as the programing development tool and DAQ (Data Aquisition) board from National Instrument for data aquisition. The LAN card and MODEM are used for the transmission of patient's data. A patient data are aquired by DAQ board and signal processing is done by $LabVIEW^{TM}$, which is a graphical prgamming language. Two methods for the data of transmission. One is the Client-Server model using TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Address) in the LAN (Local Area Network) Another is using MODEM to transmit the measured data from a patient. In this case, the data transmission is accomplished by the FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify predictors of the fighting spirit or helplessness/hopelessness in the patients' mental adjustment to cancer. Cancer patients' characteristics like performance status, metastasis and duration of diagnosis with demographic factors, spiritual support and social support were used as predictors of a fighting spirit or helplessness/hopelessness. Methods: A total of 124 ambulatory cancer patients completed the Mental Adjustment to Cancer (MAC) scale and responded in a structured instrument about their characteristics, spiritual and social support. Results: The results of multiple regression analysis revealed that confidence in the supporter ($R^2=.114$, p=.000), duration of cancer diagnosis ($R^2=.041$, p=.000) and faith ($R^2=.030$, p=.000) were predictive of a fighting spirit ($R^2=.185$, p=.000); whereas, education ($R^2= .074$, p=.001), performance status ($R^2=.055$, p=.000), satisfaction with social support ($R^2=.046$, p=.000), and metastasis ($R^2=.037$, p=.000) were predictive of helplessness/hopelessness ($R^2=.202$, p=.000). Conclusion: Social support, spiritual support and disease related factors like metastasis, performance status, and duration of cancer diagnosis need to be considered in a psychosocial nursing intervention for a fighting spirit or helplessness/hopelessness.
