온도가 두줄명아주노린재의 발육에 미치는 영향 (곤충망, 매미목, 명아주노린재과) (Effect of Temperature on the Development of the Ash-gray Leaf Bug, Piesma maculata (Insecta, Hemiptera, Piesmatidae))

  • The authors reared the ash-gray leaf bug, Piesma maculata in the growth cabinet controlled as temperature groups of $15, 20, 25, 30, 40^{\circ}C$under condition of photoperiod 16L:8D, light intensity $510{\pm}240$ lus, relative humidity $65{\pm}3%$, and analyzed the effects of temperature on the development of the insect. The results are summarized as follow: There are highly significant differences the developmental periods for the temperature groups, and between the developmental periods for the developmental stages. The egg in the temperature of 15 and $40^{\circ}C$ was hatched, but the ecdysis was impossible. The thermal threshold was $12.34^{\circ}C$and the upper lethal temperature $40.39^{\circ}C$. The total developmental periods of egg to adulate in the temperature of 20, 25, 30 and $35^{\circ}C$are 40.52, 22.37, 15.91 and 13.00 days, respectively. That is, the developmental period was decreased, as the temperature was increased. In the developmental period for the developmental stages, the developmental period of egg stage was longer than that of 25, 30 and $35^{\circ}C$, and that of 25。C was longer than that of $35^{\circ}C$. But ther was not significant differences between the developmental periods for the other temperature group. The rate of hatch at$20^{\circ}C$is the greater value as 90%, and the rates of 25, 30 and $35^{\circ}C$ are 79, 79 and 67%, respectively. That is the rate of hatch was decreased, as the temperature was increased. The mortality in the temperature of $35^{\circ}C$ is the greatest value as 68%, and those of 30, 25 and $20^{\circ}C$are 59, 59 and 41%, respectively. That is, the mortality was increased, as the temperature was increased. There was not significantly differences between the developmental period of female and male.

溫度와 食餌가 소금쟁이 (Gerris paludum insularis)의 發育에 미치는 影響 (Effects of Temperature and Diet on the Development of the Water Strider , Gerris paludum insularis ( Hemiptera , Gerridae ))

  • The water striders, gerris paludum insularis larvae which were fed with the drosophila melanogaster cultured on the appli diet and artificial diet, were reared in the growth cabinet controlled as the two constant temperature regimes of 25 c and 30 c under the condition of photoperiod 16l : 8d, light intensity 510 240 lux, relative humidity 65 3%, and in the natural state. The effects of temperature and diet on the devolopment of g. paludum insularis were analyzed and the results were summarized as follows. 1. The total developmental period of the water strider larvae fed with the d. melanogaster reared on the apple diet at the natural stste was the longest 40 days, and the total devopmental periods at 25 c and 30 c were 35 days and 27 days respectively. The tolal developmental period of larvae fed with d. melanogaster reared on the artifical diet at 25 c was the longest 42 dats, and the total developmental periods at natural stste and 30 c were 32 days and 27 days, respectively. 2. In the larval developmental stages, the fifth stage was longer than that of any stage. The duration of egg stage which was not influenced by diet at 25 c was the longest. 3. The water strider larvae fed which the d. melanogaster reared on the artificial diet at 25 c did not complete their devolopment. 4. No significant difference was odserved in the developmentperiod for diet at 30 c. but, there were significant differences in developmental periods for diet at 25 c and natural state. 5. The rate of adult emergence on the apple diet was higher than that of the artificial diet was higher than of the artificial diet. 6. The shapes of the survivorship curve were convex-curve. 7. The development periods of the larval stages of water striders might be affected to temperature and diet dependently.

팥중이 ( Oedaleus infernalis infernalis ) 의 恒溫에서의 發育 (Development of the Band-Winged Grasshoppers, Oedaleus infernalis infernalis at the Constant Temperature)

  • The author reared the bandwinged grasshoppers, Oedaleus infernalis infernalis in the growth cabinet controlled as temperature of 25。C and 30。C under the conditiion of photoperiod 16L:8D, light intensity 510$\pm$240lux, relative humidity 65$\pm$3%. The results are summarized as follows: The female has six instars and male five instars. The larva reared in the temperature of 25。C died at the second larva stage, and the development to the third instar was impossible. The developmental periods of the egg stage of both sexes in the 30。C are 24.06 days. In the larval development periods, the fourth statge (19.73 days) was longer than that of any stage, and the second stage has the shortest period (9.9 days) in female. In male, the developmental period (9.59 days). The total developmental periods of female and male from the egg to the fifth instar were approximately 95.02 and 95.04 days, respectively. The total developmental period of female was as long as the period (15.75 days) of sixth instar which is not in the male. The survivorship curve in the temperature of 30。C shows concave type.

Seasonal variations in the content and composition of essential oil from Zanthoxylum piperitum

  • Seasonal variations in the profile and concentrations of essential oil in Zanthoxylum piperitum were investigated by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Seasonal changes in the percentages of the main constituents of the essential oil of both leaves and fruits from Z. piperitum varied. Variations in essential oil yield and the amount of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes in leaves and fruits at different developmental stages were significant. The characteristic content of essential oil in leaves was determined mainly due to the content of monoterpenes, and that in fruits was determined largely due to the sesquiterpenes. Twenty-nine compounds in the oil from Z. piperitum leaves were detected; the major compounds were ${\beta}$-phellandrene (26.90%), citronella (15.32%), ${\beta}$-myrcene (3.24%), ${\alpha}$-pinene (2.79%), trans-caryophyllene (2.66%), and fanesyl acetate (2.30%). The highest yield of oil (43.89%) in Z. piperitum leaves was obtained in May but decreased gradually beginning in June. The yield of essential oil from Z. piperitum leaves during early periods was higher than that during later periods and usually decreased from early maturation stages to subsequent stages. However, in contrast to leaves, the oil yield in Z. piperitum fruit increased in June, and oil yield later in the season was higher than that earlier in the season. These results indicate that the essential oil produced from Z. piperitum leaves at the early developmental stages was stored in leaves, and might be transferred to fruit at the final developmental stages.

  • To investigate the regional distribution and relative frequency of the neurotensin-, pancreatic polypeptide(PP)- and gastrin/cholecystokinin(Gas/CCK)-immunoreactive cells in the gastrointestinal tract of the bullfrog(Rana catesbeiana) with developmental stages, group of bullfrogs subdivided into the tadpole with hindlegs, metamorphosed bullfrog with tail, 2 weeks after metamorphosed bullfrog and adult bullfrog, were stained by immunohistochemical methods (PAP methods). Neurotensin-immunoreactive cells were observed from the pylorus of the metamorphosed bullfrog with tail, but these cells were not detected after that periods. PP-immunoreactive cells were detected from the adult bullfrog in the pylorus, duodenum and ileum. These cells were most predominant in the pylorus. Gas/CCK-immunoreactive cells were observed from the adult bullfrog in the pylorus. According to these results, most of immunoreactive cells in the gastrointestinal tract of the bullfrog were appeared after the complete metamorphosed periods, in which the complete differentiation of structure of gastrointestinal tract were occurred, and variable changes of the regional distribution and relative frequency with developmental stages were observed.

Towards an Innovation Policy in the Post Catch-Up Era

  • As the catch-up innovation system was exposed to a new competition environment in which second-tier catch-up countries reduced the gap with Korea and advanced Korean firms entered into the frontier product market, it is experiencing system delay in terms of organizational and policy change. Therefore, innovation policy needs to be reorganized from a dynamic perspective to analyze the problems in the transition period and enable the system to overcome organizational and institutional delays. This article investigates the characteristics of transition periods in terms of external environment changes and internal socio-economic pressures. Based on the analysis of environment changes and catch-up system characteristics, it suggests the framework for policy intervention, direction, and practical principles for post catch-up innovation policy. In particular, it suggests the network-based developmental state and policy implementation in order to overcome the limitation of centralized developmental state of catch-up periods.

진딧물천적인 진디혹파리(Aphidoletes aphidimyza)의 생물학적 특성 (Biological Characteristics of the Aphid-eating Gall-midge, Aphidoletes aphidimyza (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) as a Biological Control Agents of Aphids)

  • 진딧물의 포식자인 진디혹파리(Aphidoleres aphidimyra)의 온도와 먹이에 따른 발육기간, 산란력, 부화율, 우화율, 포식능력, 번데기의 저온저장, 살충제에 대한 감수성 등의 생물학적 특징을 조사하였다. 복숭아혹진딧물을 먹이로 공급하였을 경우, 알에서 성충까지의 평균 발육기간은 15$^{\circ}C$에서 40일, 3$0^{\circ}C$에서 12일이 소요되었다. 또한 목화진딧물을 먹이로 공급하는 경우에는 이보다 짧아 각각 37일과 11일이 소요되었다. 번데기를 저장하는 경우에는 5$^{\circ}C$에서는 1주일, 1$0^{\circ}C$에서는 2주일 동안 보관하여도 90%이상의 우화율을 나타내었으나, 그 이상 저장하는 경우베는 우화율이 점차 떨어지는 경향을 나타내었다. 성충은 우화 2-3일 후에 교미를 하고 알을 낳기 시작하여 평균 10일동안 약 200여개의 알을 낳는다. 대부분의 성충은 오후 6시에서 8시 사이에 우화하고 주로 야간에 활동하였다.

  • Maggot therapy는 1900년대 초부터 압박성 욕창, 당뇨나 괴사에 의한 궤양, 수술 후 감염된 상처, 화상 등의 상처치료에 다시 사용되기 시작하였다. 환부에 처리할 적절한 발육단계의 무균유충을 생산하고, 증식 보존용 계통을 유지하는 데 필요한 자료를 얻기 위하여 온도별(15.4, 20.6, 22.5, 26.2, 29.1, $33.0^{\circ}C$) 발육실험을 수행하였다. 간배지(liver agar medium)에서 알기간과 1령 및 2령 기간은 $33.0^{\circ}C$에서 각각 9.0시간, 14.0시간, 18.6시간으로 가장 짧았다. 3령 기간과 번데기 기간은 $29.1^{\circ}C$에서 각각 285.0시간과 171.0시간으로 가장 짧았다. 온도별 발육기간을 기초로 각 발육단계의 발육영점온도와 유효적산온도를 산출하였다. 암수 성충은 대개 1개월 이상 생존하였고, 암컷은 일평생 2.7회 산란하였으며, 총 338.5개의 알을 낳았다.

아메리카잎굴파리 기생봉, Hemiptarsenus sp.의 발육특성 및 살충제의 영향 (Developmental characteristics of Hemiptarsenus sp.(Hymenoptera : Eulophidae), a parasitoid of Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess) and effect of the insectcides)

  • 아메리카잎굴파리 외부기생봉인 Hemiptarsenus sp.의 각 태별 크기와 온도에 따른 발육기간, 각 충태에 미치는 살충제의 영향을 조사하였다. 난은 길이가 0.5 mm, 폭 0.1 mm인 장타원형이며, 노숙유충, 용, 암컷과 수컷의 길이는 각각 1.9 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.2 mm, 1.8 mm 이었다 난에서 유충까지의 발육기간은 15, 20, 25, $30^{\circ}C$에서 각각 16.9일, 6.8일, 5.9일, 4.5일 이었으며, 용기간은 각각 20.7일, 9.7일, 5.6일, 3.4일로 온도가 증가함에 따라 발육기간은 짧아졌다. 발육영점온도와 유효적산온도는 난에서 유충이 $9.5^{\circ}C$, 91.5일도 용이 $13.1^{\circ}C$, 66.6일도 이었다. Hemiptarsenus sp.에 추천농도로 살충제를 처리하였을 때 비티 수화제, 주론 수화제, 싸이로마진 수화제는 각 충태에 대해 모두 독성이 낮았다. 반면에 피프로닐 액상수화제, 칼탑 수용제, 스피노사드 입상수화제는 유충과 용에는 독성이 낮았으나 성충에는 독성이 매우 강하였다. 아바멕틴은 각 충태에 비교적 독성이 낮았으나 성충의 산란수가 50% 이상 감소되어 성충 산란에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다.

큰이십팔점박이무당벌레(Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata (Motschulsky))의 생태적 특성 및 강릉지역 발생소장 (Ecological Characteristics of 28-spotted Larger Lady Beetle, Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata (Motschulsky) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) and Its Seasonal Fluctuation in Gangneung, Korea)

  • 큰이십팔점박이무당벌레(Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata (Motschulsky))의 강릉지역 발생소장과 발육단계별 감자잎 섭식량 및 온도별(10, 15, 20, 25, $30^{\circ}C$) 발육소요기간을 조사하였다. 큰이십팔점박이무당벌레는 연 3회, 즉 5월 하순, 6월 하순 및 8월 하순에 발생하였으며, 특히 5월 하순부터 7월 중순까지 높은 밀도로 발생하여 감자 식물체를 집중적으로 가해하였다. 발육단계별 감자잎 섭식량은 유충의 영기가 진전될수록 많았으며, 4령 유충기에 가장 많은 섭식량을 보였다. 큰이십팔점박이무당벌레 부화율과 우화율은 각각 $10^{\circ}C$$30^{\circ}C$에서는 매우 낮았고 $20{\sim}23^{\circ}C$에서 가장 높았다. 알에서 성충으로 우화되기까지 발육단계별 생육기간은 온도가 증가함에 따라 감소하였는데, $10^{\circ}C$에서 90일 정도로 매우 느렸으며 $20^{\circ}C$에서는 40여일, $25^{\circ}C$에서는 25일이 소요되었다. 또한 발육영점온도와 유효적산온도는 알에 대해서 $7.3^{\circ}C$와 83.3 DD, 유충에 대해서 $5.2^{\circ}C$와 294.1 DD, 번데기에 대해서 $6.2^{\circ}C$와 97.1 DD이었다.
