The aim of this study is to identify the floor plan types of folk houses or traditional vernacular dwellings found in Nagan Folk Village located in Joellanamdo province. Examining the floor plans appeared among 36 vernacular folk houses presumably built in the 19th century in the village by means of the changes in the number of bays of Anche, the mail block of the house, the study was also able to construct a spatial compositional process of floor plan development. The floor plan examination revealed that the basic floor plan type in Nagan folk housing was '一' shape, a typical southern dwelling based on the existing classification. This basic type is consisted of three bays or rooms: Jeongji (kitchen), Anbang (large room), and Jageunbang (small room). New spaces or rooms are added to this three room house to expand the house as the residential functions become more complex, such as more living and storage spaces. The expansion appears to have two direction. On the one hand, it has been taken place by inserting Marea, an open wooden floor living space between Anbang and Jageunbang to meet the extended living demand. On the other, Jeongjibang, a second kitchen/storage has been attached to Jeongji outward for extra cooking and storage. This two-way expansion shows the trend of symmetric expansion between cooking, storing space and dwelling space. It can be implied that the arrangement of house rooms has been structurally formulated and shared by the farmer-builders in the 19th century in Nagan village who appeared to be influenced by fixed images for housing.
The purpose of this study was to propose a plan of Information Resource Center(IRC) with various multimedia and Internet materials applicable in class for 'K' Elementary School in Daejeon. As for research methods, this study reviewed the basic directions and characteristics of Information Resource Center(IRC) defined by the Ministry of Education and Human Development, and literature from various sources. Standards for the Information Resource Center(IRC) were suggested, a plan was proposed according to them. Ultimately, a plan with stable and flexible layout and flow lines, facilities and spaces within the Information Resource Center(IRC) was established and executed. The basic functions of Information Resource Center(IRC) were information, reading, consultation, graphic production. The spaces suggested in this study for the Information Resource Center(IRC) for elementary school were space for the literature information, information search, A/V information, studying, browsing, reading. This results will support teacher's teaching with various multimedia and Internet materials applicable in class, help student's self directed learning activity, and play its role as a cultural center of the local community.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the unique characteristics of the vernacular house of Ulleung-Do(island), which shows a different residential culture from the main land. For this purpose, this study examined the characteristics of the location, spatial arrangement, and floor-plan of the house and also tried to understand how these basic elements were changed and why these changes were occurred. The result of this study is as follows: First, the house was located on the mountain area and was oriented toward the various bearings. Second, the house usually did not have annexes and most residential space was installed on a main building. Third, the floor-plan of the house was developed from a basic two-Kan (with single row) house type in a early settlement period to three-Kan, four-Kan, and five-Kan house types in later periods. While the development of house type proceeded. the main building was functioned as a complex space for both residential and storage purposes. Some houses were gradually developed into a middle and upper-class house shape by installing annexes. The change of the floor-plan and the house size was the result of self-sustained living culture influenced by the natural environment of the island and of changes of residential conditions as well.
The purpose of this study, which focuses on safe living as an important determinant of the quality of life for the elderly, is to provide policy proposals for their safe living in rural areas by examining their current living conditions and related policies. To examine the related policies, we analyzed government plans including: the first, second and third Basic Plan on Low Fertility and Aging Society, first implemented in 2006, the first, second and third Basic Plan for Healthy Families, also first implemented in 2006, and the first, second and third Five-year Plan for Improvement of the Quality of Life of Rural People and Regional Development of Rural Areas, first implemented in 2005. In addition to these plans, government projects concerning safe living environments were assessed. we present the following policy proposals for the safe living of the elderly in rural areas. First, integrated, customized policies are required for the rural elderly's everyday life. That is, elderly-friendly residential improvement policies are needed since accidents involving the rural elderly usually occur in their own houses. Policies should also be introduced to monitor and improve the elderly's nutritional and health status. Also considering the high proportion of elderly people in rural areas, policies must be aimed at creating elderly-friendly and family-friendly villages. Second, educational sessions for the elderly are necessary to raise their awareness of safety in everyday lives, which they often overlook.
This study is a basic study for reorganizing the facility system of agriculture and rural areas necessary for establishing a rural spatial plan. Accordingly, the newly implemented rural spatial planning system was briefly reviewed. As the scope of the study, the facility-related laws and the classification and classification system of facilities of previous studies were set as the scope of the study. In order to reorganize the facility system in rural areas necessary for establishing a rural space plan, this study compared and analyzed the facilities according to the laws related to the facilities and the use of previous studies. As a result of analyzing 21 target sites for rural agreements with 12 sectors of service facilities in rural areas as indicators, 14 facilities in 8 sectors were found to be commonly introduced for the establishment of living areas in rural areas or regional development. This study aims to derive basic living service facility items in rural areas and construct related spatial data. To do this, a literature review on the laws and systems related to the residential environment and services in rural areas, rural spatial planning, and the 'Rural Convention' strategic plan reports for the Jeolla and Gyeongsang Region in 2021 was conducted. Primary data collection and review on the list of basic living service items in rural areas derived from the analysis were conducted. After data collection, 12 sectors and 44 types of rural basic living service items were derived; the data selection was carried out based on the clarity of the subject of data management, whether it was established nationwide, whether it was disclosed and provided, whether it was periodically updated, and whether it was an underlying law. Afterwards, data on the derived rural basic living service items were constructed. Afterwards, spatial data on the derived rural basic living service items were constructed. Because open data provided through various institutions were employed, data structure unification such as data attribute values and code names was needed, and abnormal data such as address errors and omissions were refined. After that, the data provided in text form was converted into spatial data through geocoding, and through comparative review of the distribution status of the converted data and the provided address, spatial data related to rural basic living services were finally constructed for about 540,000 cases. Finally, implications for data construction for diagnosing rural living areas were derived through the data collection and construction process. The derived implications include data unification, data update system establishment, the establishment of attribute values necessary for rural living area diagnosis and spatial planning, data establishment plan for facilities that provide various services, rural living area analysis method, and diagnostic index development. This study is meaningful in that it laid the foundation for data-based rural area diagnosis and rural planning, by selecting the basic rural living service items, and constructing spatial data on the selected items.
Land suitability assessment assesses development, farming, and conservation suitability, considering land's soil, location, and possibility for use. It also implement segmentation of management regions into production, conservation, and plan management area. It is evaluated as a very significant system in establishing a land use system of sustainable development and development after planning in the aspect that it can establish proper land use plan. This study developed a recommendation model for development in agent-based model that interacts with surrounding lands. It also tried to summarize the area characteristic analysis and the results of land suitability evaluation, targeting three ri's in Yesan-Gun, and analyze the model's applicability by selection results. In order to recommend area for development that considers the use of the surrounding lands, it calculated development possibility indices that considered the ratings of all the lands in the target areas for each parcel and simulated the model. As a result, selected three areas in target region were suitable areas for development in land suitability assessment. In detail, ratings of the recommended parcels were 3, 4, and 5 ratings. As a result of examining the land status, it showed that all the three areas were plan management areas, thus easy for development. It is judged that the model for recommending area for development suggested in this study can be used as important basic data for setting the direction for development when establishing a regional planning.
With the increase in the risk of GPS jamming, the development and application of anti-jamming GPS techniques have been actively performed. As the objective performance verification of developed techniques is important, equipment development for verification and discussion on anti-jamming performance test method and procedure have also been conducted. However, most tests are related to the specification of equipment and therefore detailed procedure of the performance verification of an anti-jamming system needs to be developed. In this study, requirements for anti-jamming performance verification were described, and test configurations and performance evaluation items depending on three kinds of test methods (lab test, basic outdoor test, and chamber test) were suggested for anti-jamming performance verification.
Recently, the construction of U-City or of U-City service (U-service) in many kinds of urban development projects becomes the general trend. However, as the construction of U-city comes into the spotlight like the trend of the times, various service constructions are being indiscreetly implemented since it's processed focusing on local specialized projects or local landmark project by a local autonomous entity or an institute in charge being off the original purpose of the improvement of living quality of residents and the efficiency of urban management, which causes a number of problems on the process, maintenance, operation and management of those projects. Therefore, this study is to derive the standard pattern of U-service construction through the analysis of patterns and numbers of U-service and problems during the process of construction in domestic U-City construction case district, and is aimed to suggest the reasonable direction of service construction based on this. 11 projects areas in which data related to U-service are available among U-City construction project areas were selected for the subjects of this study, and it's standardized with 228 detailed unit services that were suggested by U-Eco City R&D and with 11 service domains that are regulated in "the Act of ubiquitous city construction etc.", and it is limited to services that were suggested in U-City case area of which design was completed by July, 2010 based on this.
