  • A method has been described for the determination of Cu(Ⅱ), Pb(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ), Mn(Ⅱ) and Fe(Ⅲ) by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) after preconcentration on Amberlite XAD-16 resin, using hexamethyleneammonium-hexamethylenedithiocarbamate (HMA-HMDTC) as a chelating agent, and NH3/NH4Cl buffer solution (pH 9). Influences of various analytical parameters such as pH, concentration of nitric acid, amount of analytes, diverse ions and sample volume were investigated. The relative standard deviation (RSD) and the detection limit (LOD) were found in the range of 0.8-2.9% and 0.006-0.277 ㎍/mL,respectively. Recoveries obtained by the column method were quantitative ( >95%) at optimum conditions. The method was applied to the determination of some metal ions in seawater and wastewater samples. A high preconcentration factor (about 150 for seawater and 75 for wastewater samples) and simplicity are the main advantages of this suggested method.

  • The general dicing process cuts a semiconductor wafer to lengthwise and crosswise direction by using a rotating circular diamond blade. However, inferior goods may be made under the influence of several parameters in dicing process such as blade, wafer, cutting water and cutting conditions. Moreover we can not apply this dicing method to a GaN wafer, because the GaN wafer is harder than other wafers such as SiO$_2$, GaAs, GaAsP, and AlGaAs. In order to overcome this problem, development of a new dicing process and determination of dicing parameters are necessary. This paper describes determination of several parameters - scribing depth, scribing force, scriber inclined angle, scribing speed, and factor for scriber replacement - for a new dicing machine using a scriber.

  • CAPM explains the rate of return for the risk asset by $\beta$, systematic risk. There are some assumption in CAPM. But CAPM can not explain the movement of stock price sufficiently due to limitation of the assumptions. Therefore many scholars study which variables with the exception of $\beta$ effect on the rate of return of risk asset for supplementing this limitation by using PER, size of firm etc.. But it will be natural that PER, size of firm etc. to be determinant factors of $\beta$ also effect on the abnormal rate of return, because PER, size of firm etc. used in their studies already effect on determination of $\beta$, . That is, the determinant factors of $\beta$ effect on determination of abnormal rate of return according as $\beta$, effects on abnormal rate of return. Therefore, this study tests empirically how the determinant factors of $\beta$, effect on determination of$\beta$, ,and how $\beta$ and the determinant factor of $\beta$ effect on the abnormal rate of return in CAPM.

  • In a competitive environment, selecting and effectively pursing the right information system investments can be a key factor in sustaining corporate viability and prosperity. This study applies quality function deployment(QFD) to the determination of information system development priority. The intent of QFD is to incorporate the needs of a customer through the various stages of product planning and manufacturing into a final product. The basic idea of our study is to translate the core competence and the competitive environment into the business strategy, and the critical success factors, and subsequently into information system development priority. Our method is applied to a motor company for the determination of the information system development priority. The company case is illustrated step by step with real data of the company and motor market.

  • Recent studies on trade payment methods have suggested various alternatives to replace remittance payments. However, these studies theoretically provided the possibilities and limitations of each alternative. To check recent changes in trade practices, our research analyzed payment methods in international trade e-marketplace. Using company and product information obtained from Alibaba.com, we analyzed payment methods used in this e-marketplace and examined determination factors for new payment methods. According to the results of logistic regression analysis, we found a relationship between new payment method and factors such as market competition and the age of the company. Also, providing Paypal payments showed a correlation with market competition and price level of products as well as e-commerce infrastructure. Though these study results feature limitations in the generalization of results, it contributes to the research on payment method trends in international trade.

  • The work factor approach was applied to determine $G_ {IC}$ of fiber reinforced composites (AS4/3501) from a single unidirectional (0-deg) DCB specimen. Elastic work factors of DCB specimen for three different symmetrical staking sequences were derived from a simple bending theory and a finite element method. The results showed that elastic work factors calculated from both methods were comparable each other. In particular, the elastic work factor of DCB specimen with symmetrical stacking sequence is independent of stacking sequence. The $G_ {IC}$ determined from the work factor approach was compared with that determined by the compliance method. The results showed that the work factor approach and the compliance method produce comparable results of $G_ {IC}$. Thus, $G_ {IC}$ can be determined from a single DCB specimen using the work factor approach.

  • The effective length factor is a familiar concept for practicing engineers and has long been an approach for column stability evaluations. Neglecting the effects of axial force in the restraining members, in the case of sway prevented frames, is one of the simplifying assumptions which the Alignment Charts, the conventional nomographs for K-Factor determination, are based on. A survey on the problem reveals that the K-Factor of the columns may be significantly affected when the differences in axial forces are taken into account. In this paper a new iterative approach, with high convergence rate, based on the general principles of structural mechanics is developed and the patterns for detection of the critical member are presented and discussed in details. Such facilities are not available in the previously presented methods. A constructive methodology is outlined and the usefulness of the proposed algorithm is illustrated by numerical examples.

  • The purpose of this study were to investigate relations among family resilience, self-determination(autonomy, perceived competence, relatedness) and commitment to career choice and to examine the meditating effects of self-determination(autonomy, perceived competence, relatedness) in the process by which family resilience affected commitment to career choice. Subjects of the study were 277 college students in the Chungbuk and Kyungpook province. AMOS 7.0 was employed to analyze the data. The results were as follows: First, college students' family resilience had a direct impact on college students' self-determination(autonomy, perceived competence, relatedness) and commitment to career choice. Second, students' self-determination(autonomy, perceived competence, relatedness) had a direct impact on students' commitment to career choice. Third, it was found students' self-determination(autonomy, perceived competence, relatedness) was a meditating factor in the relationship between students' family resilience, and commitment to career choice.

  • This study is to develop and validate the academic motivation scale for medical students(AMSMS) based on self-determination theory. After composing preliminary questions from 74 students, a preliminary and main survey were conducted with 148 and 300 students from September to November 2020. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were used. As a result of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, construct validity was verified. The fitness index of the five-factor model of amotivation, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation, intrinsic motivation was good. The reliability of each factor was ranged from 0.760 to 0.933. The criterion validity of AMSMS was verified by showing a correlation with academic self-efficacy and school life satisfaction. This results show that the AMSMS is both valid and reliable, and it is expected to be used in research related to academic motivation of medical students in the future.
