모바일 서비스 고객선호도에 관한 실증연구 (An Experimental Examination of Customer Preferences on Mobile Interfaces)

  • Designing mobile Interfaces is fundamentally different from designing online interfaces. Not only are there differences in underlying technologies, but also in the way people use mobile Interfaces. If these differences are not taken into account in designing mobile interfaces, mobile services are likely to fail. If mobile services do not deliver what people want, these services will fail no matter how excellent the underlying technology is. The user interface design commonly used in mobile services is based on multi-layered approach, which is not very user-friendly. A well designed single layered user Interface will be more user friendly than the conventional one and it will be having edge over others. However, it is quite difficult to Provide a single layered user Interface in a small screen. This study aims at examining how design attributes of mobile interfaces affect customer preferences. In order to explore customer preferences to each design attribute of mobile interfaces, we measure and analyze customer's WTP (Willingness To Pay) toward their different interface designs. Ultimately, throughout the study, we try to answer how to design mobile interfaces in small screen of mobile devices. In addition, we propose an optimal design solution that customers likely prefer.

Designing a Supply Chain Coordinating Returns Policies for a Risk Sensitive Manufacturer

  • In this article we consider a supply chain consisting of a risk-sensitive manufacturer and a riskneutral retailer. The manufacturer maximizes her individual expected profit by designing a supply chain coordinating returns contract (SCRC) that consists of (i) a channel coordinating returns policy that maximizes the supply chain joint expected profit, and (ii) a profit sharing arrangement that gives the retailer an expected profit only slightly higher than that in the no returns case so that it is just enough to induce the retailer to accept the SCRC. Thus, the manufacturer captures as high a percentage as possible of the jointly maximum supply chain profit. However, this contract can sometimes lead to the manufacturer's resulting realized profit being lower than that in the no returns case when demand is lower than expected. In this context, even though profit is sufficiently attractive on average, will the risk-sensitive manufacturer ever consider applying a SCRC? Our research raises this question and focuses on designing a SCRC that can significantly increase the probability of the manufacturer's resulting realized profit being at least higher than that in the no returns case.

  • Phosphorylation, a critical mechanism in biological systems, is estimated to be indispensable for about 30% of key biological activities, such as cell cycle progression, migration, and division. It is synergistically balanced by kinases and phosphatases, and any deviation from this balance leads to disease conditions. Pathway or biological activity-based abnormalities in phosphorylation and the type of involved phosphatase influence the outcome, and cause diverse diseases ranging from diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and numerous cancers. Protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) are of prime importance in the process of dephosphorylation and catalyze several biological functions. Abnormal PTP activities are reported to result in several human diseases. Consequently, there is an increased demand for potential PTP inhibitory small molecules. Several strategies in structure-based drug designing techniques for potential inhibitory small molecules of PTPs have been explored along with traditional drug designing methods in order to overcome the hurdles in PTP inhibitor discovery. In this review, we discuss druggable PTPs and structure-based virtual screening efforts for successful PTP inhibitor design.

인포메이션 아키텍처의 기준에 의거한 대학사이트 평가에 관한 연구 (An Evaulation of University Sites in Korea Based on Information Architecture Criteria)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인포메이션 아키텍처(IA)의 원칙에 근거하여 웹 사이트를 평가할 수 있는 정성적 및 정량적 기준을 설정하고, 이 기준을 이용하여 한국 대학사이트를 종합 평가함으로써 대학사이트 설계에 적용될 수 있는 일반적인 기본원칙을 제시하는데 있다. 이 연구에 IA 수업을 수강하고 있는 학생들이 직접 참여하여 컨덴츠조직, 네비게이션시스템 레이블링시스템 검색시스템에 대한 평가기준 및 항목들을 설정하였다. 또한 그들이 피실험자로서 이 기준을 활용하여 무작위를 추출된 27개 대학사이트에 대한 정량적 평가를 하였다. 정성적으로 상세히 분석한 대학사이트의 문제점들은 히 네 범주(컨텐츠조직, 네비게이션. 레이블링, 검색)로 구분하여 기술되었다. 이 분석결과를 토대로 체계적인 컨텐츠조직, 유연성있는 네비게이션시스템, 일관성있는 레이블링시스템, 효율적인 검색시스템을 구축하기 위해서, 대학사이트의 설계에 고려해야 할 일반적인 원칙을 제시하였다.

95인승급 터보프롭 중형항공기 꼬리날개 사이징 (Tail Sizing of 95-Seat Type Turboprop Aircraft)

  • Tail wing is important to designing of civil aircrafts, because it is responsible for aircraft stability and control. Tail wing has a role in aircraft control and makes aircraft fly stably without any pilot control input. Also, designing of tail wing determine trim drag force in whole aircraft. Center of gravity(CG) of aircraft travels with various effects as placement of passenger's seats, location of cargo bay, etc. In designing horizontal tail volume, aircraft CG travel has to be considered to have margin so that it should be sized to provide adequate stability and control for the airplane's entire CG range throughout the flight envelope. Finally, it is essential to have sufficient elevator control to perform stall at forward CG for all flaps down configurations. Such stalls establish the FAR stall speed which airplane take-off and landing performance. This paper deals with the process for tail wing design regarding the aircraft CG travel and results for 95-seat type turboprop aircraft.

국가영어능력평가시험(NEAT)의 검사지 구성의 원칙과 절차: 문항 유형 확정 모델 (A blueprint for designing and developing the listening and the reading test of National English Ability Test (NEAT): Item-types decision-making model)

  • On the bases of the 5 principles and the 4 criteria for designing and developing of the listening and the reading test of National English Ability Test (NEAT), this study presents Item-Types Decision-Making Model as a blueprint for designing and constructing the two tests. It sets up the criteria for validating item types, designs a modular type of test specifications, constructs an item-types bank, and specifies a complementary type of test specifications of the two tests. To gather all these threads up, it constructs Item-Types Decision-Making Model which consists of such components as the item-type pool, the validity criteria and the procedures of testing item types, the item-types bank, the modular and the complementary type test specification. Thus, it shows how the Model works in developing and constructing the two level-differentiated listening and reading tests (the 2nd and the 3rd rank) of NEAT. Finally, it discusses some implications and applications of the Model to the two level-differentiated tests (the A and the B type) of 2014 CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) systems, National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA), and classroom testing. In conclusion, Item-Types Decision-Making Model functions as a testing template in an item development system and as a matrix in an item-types bank system.

환경부하 저감을 위한 기후순응주거 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Acclimatization's Housing for Environmental Load Reduction)

  • The concept of sustainable development to preserve natural environment through economy in resources and energy is gradually distinguished since environmental problems as a series of air pollution and global warming take place now. Building occupies more than 1/3 of energy consumption in the whole world. Energy consumption of buildings caused a quick increase in the amount of energy use by air conditioning, which has a lot of effects on exhaustion of fossil energy as well as an increase in environmental load. Therefore, this research intends to suggest characteristics and direction for the designing of acclimatization's housing through the case study on acclimatization's housing. Acclimatization's housing is designed to reduce building load from the designing stage unlike green home or low-energy apartment. Also, factors which are commonly applied to acclimatization's housing are applied complexly by design strategic factors of Heating, Cooling and Lighting. The applied design factors make effects mutually and complexly. In addition, design strategy showed different priority by designing direction.

  • ARM은 2016년 현재 매일 4천만 개씩 선적되고 있으며 860억 개 이상 이동통신, 가전, 기업, 임베디드 시스템 분야에서 탑재되어 널리 이용되고 있다. 국내의 반도체 기술은 메모리 반도체 설계에 있어서는 세계 최고의 수준이나, 프로세서의 설계는 그에 미치지 못하여 메모리와 프로세서의 균형있는 발전을 이루지 못하고 있다. 일반적으로 프로세서를 설계할 때는 고가의 전용 소프트웨어의 필요로 인하여 환경을 갖추기가 어렵다. 그러나 최근에 Altera에서 제공하는 ModelSim은 무료로 누구나 이용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 유럽 및 전 세계의 대학 및 연구소에서 ASIC 설계에 널리 쓰이는 VHDL을 이용하여 32 비트 ARMv4 계열의 프로세서를 설계하고, ModelSim으로 모의실행하였다. 그 결과, ARM의 37 개 명령어를 성공적으로 수행할 수 있었다.

ATM 멀티플렉서의 설계를 위한 다중화이득과 가변입력비트율과의 관계 해석 (An Analysis on Multiplexing Gain vs. Variable Input Bit Rate Relation for Designing the ATM Multiplexer)

  • This paper shows a new relational formula of multiplexing gain versus variable input bit rates useful for designing Nx1 ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) multiplexer which mixes several asynchronous bit streams with different transmission rates. The relation between multiplexing gain and input bit stream speeds is derived from the occupied mean lenght(the width per unit time) of cells and the occupation probability of the number of cells at an arbitrary instant when the rates of the periodic cell strams change randomly. And the relation between multiplexing gain and variable bit rates from different number of input bit streams is analyzed accordingly. Under the condition of unlimited multiplexing speed, the more number of input bit streams increases, the bigger the multiplexing gain becomes. While for the case which restricts the multiplexing speed to a limited value, the multiplexing gain becomes smaller contrarily as the number of input bit streams continues too invrease beyond a boundary value. It is shown that for designing an ATM multiplexer according to the latter case, the combination of input bit streams should be determined such as its total bit rate is lower thean, but most apprpaximate to, the multiplexed output speed. Also the general formula evaluating the most significant parameters which should be needed to design the multiplexer is derived.

사용후핵연료봉 slitting 장치 성능 평가 (Capacity evaluation on the slitting device of the spent fuel rod)

  • The spent fuel slitting device is an equipment developed for the separation of the pellet and hull from the cutting fuel rod with length of 250 mm, and in order to feed UO$_2$ pellet. We have analyzed on the existing technologies for designing and producing of the slitting device in the first year(2001), based on these results, designed and produced the rod slitting device. It has effectively separated the pellet from the hull, but demanded the supplement separation work because of the mixing with pellet and hull in the vessel, and required the condition for the reducing time of the process. In the second year(2002), we have reduced the work time, performed the test and capacity evaluation with the improving device, based these results, and ensured the data demanded for designing of the spent fuel rod slitting device. We have compared with the DUPIC(Direct use of spent PWR fuel in CAND reactors) process, and developed the device for the purpose of reducing over 40 % in comparition with the DUPIC operation time(5 minutes). Based on these results, it will is effectively applied to available data for designing and producing of the hot test facility.
