This paper is part of the research about the selection and justification of Jeju international airport as an aircraft category 'F' alternative airport, which is the results of an weather analysis based on meteorological statistics. As the results of the study, it has been only 1 day per year (58minutes) that weather conditions of Incheon and Jeju international airports, from January 2006 to June 2011, are below landing weather minimums of each airport at the same times. This means that these airports are not within the same meteorological region, which is against the current orthodoxy. In addition, it is very rare that weather conditions of Jeju international airports are below landing weather minimums when Incheon international airport is below landing weather minima. It shows that the meteorological characteristics of these regions differ widely and the designation of Jeju international airport as an alternative airport is scientifically reasonable.

The natural ecology of our coastal zone has been well preserved because of the designation of Han-Ryea national sea park. However, recently, it is being threatened by the frequent request of district regulation of national park and relaxation of green belt, etc. And also, with the reclamation of the foreshore by the development of industrial complex and tourism resource cultivation on a large scale, development pressure for natural coast is increasing. For that reason, preservation of the ecology, organized management and investigation is needed for the islands which scenery is beautiful and rare animals and plants inhabit. And also, it is worried that major habitats of migrants are diminishing because of the district regulation of national park, relaxation of green belt zone and construction of coastal streets. Therefore. on the basis of the through environmental impact assessment, only the business which are aimed at the preservation and restoration of the natural coast should be admitted and the act of eroding must be restricted.

In the rainfalll-runoff relation, consideration of the spatial movement of storms is very unportant in designing a hydraulic structure or evaluating an environmental influence for land usage. Because of thins reason, this study has suggested the finite element model which consider the spatial movement of a storm and it was applied on a small river basin(Wi stream basin). In the application of the model, the basin was treated as a pivot point and the storms are simulated 10 movement in each directions. As a result, It shows that the storms moving from north to south have higher peak discharge and faster peak time than the storms moving in other directions. So these characteristics have to be considered In the designation of a hydraulic structure or evaluation of an environmental influence.

This second stage study on the Wild and Scenic Rivers System is a proposal for system disignation. Study area is the part of the Han River flowing through the Seoul Metropolitan Region. Consequently, developpment pressure and demand for recreational land uses along the river are very high, and that is why the Wild and Scenic rivers System is urgently needed for the Han River among other major rivers of the nation. Resource inventory and assessment followed the process developed in the first stage study. Figure-4 shows the proposed Wild and Scenic Rivers System designation, Also proposed are manage-ment guidelines and legal, organizational arrangement.

The major movement block of the containers have range between apron and designation points on yard in container terminal. The yard tractor operated by human takes charge of its movement in conventional container terminal. In automated container terminal, AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle) has charge of the yard tractor's role and the navigation path is ordered from upper level control system. The automated container terminal facilities must have the docking system to guide landing line to have high speed travelling and precision positioning. The general method for docking system uses the vision system with CCD camera, infra red, and laser. This paper describes the detection of AGV's position and orientation using laser slit beam to develop docking system.

Names attributed to villages varies from governmental administrative division to simple modest names called from the habitants. Actually, scarce names only called from the habitants remains today. While these names reflect abundant cultural, social and historical aspects we made this research based on those nominations related only to Korean traditional medicine(KTM). We could find that the most KTM related village name was famine relieve or/and medicinal plant designation like Puerariae village. Also there was names of doctors like Dasan. Another big portion was from the medicinal mineral waters like Yakbawegol which said has the properties for dermatologic desease. We suggest this study may use as a clue in the field of KTM history research.

A chinese wood species called China Hongmu, is an excellent wood to make high quality furniture owing to attracting color, beautiful grain, and durability. Hongmu is not a tree or wood species name. The general designation in Hongmu group is a similar to one of its density, structure, color and use. Hongmu considers more than 30 hardwood species of Pterocarpus, Dalbergia, Diospyros, Millettia, and Cassia. According to the macrostructural characteristics and properties, Hongmu group can be classified into 8 groups which are Zitanmulei, Hualimulei, Heisuanzhimulei, Hongsuanzhimulei, Xiangzhimulei, Wumulei, Tiaowenwumulei and Jichimulei. In this paper, the growing areas, scientific names and identifiable characteristics of these Hongmu group species were introduced for help to identify China Hongmu and its products in the market as well.

The size and topology of geometrically nonlinear dome structures are optimized thereby minimizing both its entire weight & joint (node) displacements and maximizing load-carrying capacity. Design constraints are implemented from provisions of American Petroleum Institute specification (API RP2A-LRFD). In accordance with the proposed design constraints, the member responses computed by use of arc-length technique as a nonlinear structural analysis method are checked at each load increment. Thus, a penalization process utilized for inclusion of unfeasible designations to genetic search is correspondingly neglected. In order to solve this complex design optimization problem with multiple objective functions, Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA II) approach is employed as a multi-objective optimization tool. Furthermore, the flexibility of proposed optimization is enhanced thereby integrating an automatic dome generating tool. Thus, it is possible to generate three distinct sphere-shaped dome configurations with varying topologies. It is demonstrated that the inclusion of brace (diagonal) members into the geometrical configuration of dome structure provides a weight-saving dome designation with higher load-carrying capacity. The proposed optimization approach is recommended for the design optimization of geometrically nonlinear dome structures.

The paper presents a power supply of atmospheric-pressure plasma reactor based on SiC (Silicon Carbide) MOSFET resonant inverter. Thanks to the capacitive characteristic of capacitive coupling plasma reactor type, the LC series resonant inverter had been applied to take advantages of this topology with the implementation of SiC MOSFET power modules as switching power devices. Designation of gate driver for SiC MOSFET had been introduced by this paper. The 5kVp, 5kW power supply had also been verified by experimental results.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of designating the environmental education center for researcher, teacher, professor, NGOs. The questionnaire was composed of the introduction of designation, human resources, function, operation, facilities and 131 participated in this survey. According to the results of the study, First, environmental education center is divided into four types(national, municipal A, municipal B, private environmental education center). Second, according to the type, It is necessary to put the difference in each center. Third, the majors and career about environmental education are needed for staff.
