The factors influencing consumers' perceived complexity of online apparel mass customization service usage

  • Mass customization is a marketing strategy to meet consumer needs for variation and uniqueness of products. Although there are quite a few studies quantitatively investigated the options provided by mass customization process, scholarly work related to mass customization has provided mixed results on consumer perception of complexity and their responses. The purpose of the study is to derive the factors that influence consumer complexity perception in online apparel mass customization process and consumers' needs to enhance mass customization services. Data were collected by conducting focus group interviews of which 29 participations in 4 groups. The results of the study suggested that consumers perceived complexity through mass customization process due to too many choice options. However, the effect of number of options on respondents' complexity perception was different depending on consumer characteristics such as consumer expertise and fashion involvement, and the characteristics of consumer preference development. Shopping context such as shopping purpose is another moderating factor. This study also suggests that a variety of marketing strategies which can enhance mass customization services affect the relationship between the number of options and consumers' complexity perception. The findings of the study provide academic and managerial implications.

  • This study analyzed the characteristics of generation Z leading the trend of the fashion industry through the creative activity of Virgil Abloh. A literature review and case study were conducted together with detailing the research methodology. As a result of research, generation Z is conceptualized as a "digital native" who grows in digital technology environment with excellent visual sense. They are "SNS creators" who have influence on Social Networking Services (SNS). They are also characterized as "social activists" who reject social conventions and prejudices. They are a "leading creators" who seek to differentiate with creativity. The characteristics of generation Z in the creative activities of Virgil Abloh have a feature of digital native in that they seek visual originality. In terms of communicating with generation Z through SNS and influencer marketing, it has the characteristics of SNS creators. It expresses social activists in providing consumers with diversity, and social perceptions of differentiation. In terms of providing content that encourages consumers to express their personality, it has a feature of leading creators. It is meaningful in that it contributes to the understanding of the market change and marketing strategy according to the consumer development and the activity of the fashion designer.

패션 브랜드 가상공간에서 메타버스의 속성과 소비자의 지각된 가치 (Attributes of the metaverse and consumers' perceived values of fashion brands in virtual spaces)

  • This study aims to investigate how consumers perceive the attributes (ubiquity, continuity) of metaverse fashion brands in a virtual space. It also empirically verifies the impact on consumers' perceived values (hedonic value, social value) and consumer behavioral intentions (intention to use the platform, intention to purchase virtual products). The results verified in this study are as follows: First, we confirmed that the metaverse attributes perceived by consumers in the virtual space of the fashion brand, ubiquity and daily extension, positively affect customers' perceived hedonic and social values. Second, we found that consumers' perceived hedonic and social values have a significant positive effect on their intention to use the platform. Finally, we found that consumers' intention to use the platform had a significant positive effect on their intention to purchase virtual products. The results of this study will have academic significance by expanding the scope of research related to identifying metaverse attributes and values by identifying metaverse attributes and consumer values that perceived by consumers in fashion brands' virtual spaces in the metaverse. This study suggests a direction and strategy for fashion brands to move forward in building virtual spaces on the metaverse platform. In this way, they can create perceived value for consumers that elicits positive consumer behavioral intentions.

증권회사 브랜드에 있어 투자자의 투자성향과 기업의 컬러마케팅의 인과관계 분석 연구 (A study of the influence of investment tendency on the color marketing of securities company's brand)

  • 오늘날 금융 산업은 개방화와 자율화에 따른 외국금융브랜드의 진출 및 증가, 다양한 금융브랜드의 신설 등으로 급속도로 변화하고 있다. 이러한 변화의 추세 속에서 기업들은 점차 자사의 브랜드 차별화를 위해 다양한 마케팅 방법을 동원하고 있다. 그 중 최근의 금융 브랜드에서 사용하는 '컬러마케팅'은 중요한 브랜드 차별화 요소로 인식되고 있다. 그러나 일부 브랜드를 제외하고 기업의 경영성향을 내포한 브랜드의 컬러마케팅과 투자자의 투자성향에 근거한 컬러선호가 상이함이 있다고 보여진다. 이는 커뮤니케이션의 목적인 브랜드이미지 문제와도 관계가 있을 것이라고 생각된다. 따라서 본 연구는 기업과 고객 간의 효율적인 커뮤니케이션 방안을 제시하기 위해 현재 증권회사들의 브랜드 컬러마케팅과 개인금융 투자자의 투자성향 선호컬러의 상관관계에 대해서 확인해 보고자 하였다. 롤랑 바르트의 컬러의 기호학적 의미해석과 실제 투자자들의 투자성향별 집단의 선호컬러와는 차이가 있음이 확인해 볼 수 있었다. 즉, 공격적인 투자성향을 가진 투자자의 경우 열정적이며 적극성을 상징하는 적색이나 주황의 강렬한 컬러를 선호할 것으로 예상 하였으나 분석 결과 뜻밖에도 의외의 컬러를 선호하는 것으로 알 수 있었다. 이러한 분석들을 토대로 증권사의 경영성향과 투자자의 컬러성향과의 관계를 보다 면밀히 조사하고 체계화하는 과정의 일환으로 본 연구 결과는 향후 맞이하게 될 자본시장통합법에 따른 시장개방에서 금융브랜드와 고객과의 커뮤니케이션 수단의 기초적인 연구 자료가 될 수 있기를 기대한다.

  • The brand value of apartment which affects not only sale percent and profit but also the worth of real estate is raised as an important point of sale competition in the apartment market. But now the market is occupied by a few construction companies, which have well recognized brand. So it's difficult for a construction company without brand to enter the apartment market because of consumer's ignorance. domestic construction companies are spending lots of money and effort to advertise their characteristic brandapartment based on classified consumer's desire and offer consumers what they want. Therefor, This study investigated the factors of recently characteristic brandapartment focusing on design, environment, materials, home automation and surveyed residents preference of a brand by P.O.E methods. Based on such results of survey, this study suggest the basically reference information on characteristic strategy of an brandapartment.

트랜스브랜딩 이론을 통한 디즈니 애니메이션 <겨울왕국> 분석 (An analysis on Disney's animation Through Transbranding theory)

  • 본 논문은 트랜스브랜딩(Transbranding) 이론을 최근 큰 반향을 일으킨 디즈니의 3D 애니메이션 <겨울왕국(Frozen, 2013)>의 '브랜드 전략' 분석에 적용하려 한 연구이다. 아울러 본 연구는 디즈니의 트랜스미디어 시대에 부합하는 브랜드 전략을 고찰하려 하였다. 본 연구에서는 트랜스브랜딩(Transbranding) 이론에서 제시된 네 가지 「트랜스미디어믹스 전략 요소」와 「2F(Flexible Fit) 전략」에 근거하여 <겨울왕국>을 분석하였다. 특히, 2F전략 분석에서는 디즈니 애니메이션 <라푼젤(Tangled, 2010)>과 세 가지 관점에서 비교·분석하였다. <겨울왕국>은 디즈니의 고유한 가치를 유지하면서도 진화하는 상호작용, 협력적 창조, 다원적인 경험을 위한 다양한 전략들을 보여주었다. 트랜스브랜딩 이론에 근거한 <겨울왕국>의 브랜드 전략을 분석한 결과, 겨울왕국은 기존의 디즈니 애니메이션들과는 차별화된 전략적 유연함을 확보함으로써 성공적인 브랜딩을 보여주었으며, 2F 전략을 통하여 디즈니의 새롭고 현대적인 이미지를 구축할 수 있었다.

천연염색 내의류 제품개발을 위한 디자인 선호 조사 연구 -남녀 대학생을 중심으로- (Investigation of Design Preference for Developing of Natural Dyeing Underwear -Focusing on Male and Female University Students-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and offer useful information on natural dyeing underwear industry through an analysis of 20's purchasing behavior and design preference between male and female. From 600 questionnaires that were distributed, 512 with usable data were coded for further statistical analysis including descriptive statistics(frequency and chi-square test), by using SPSS 12.0 and the major results were as follows. Given that a large number of 20's purchase men's underwear by their parents, and women's of their own. It was found that the underwear for men in their 20's should be developed in an attempt to place greater emphasis on improving functions as an outerwear. It is important to strengthen the design and marketing strategy specially tailored to 20's of natural dyeing underwear products.

  • 최근 인터넷이 상거래에 활용되면서 가장 먼저 발달된 분야중의 하나가 바로 쇼핑몰 사이트이다. 하지만 인터넷 사용자는 증가하는 반면 쇼핑몰 기업들은 판매가 부진한 실정이다. 거기에는 여러 요인들이 있겠지만, 그 중에서 하나의 원인은 전자상거래의 핵심주체인 소비자들의 다양한 욕구에 대한 이해부족이라고 할 수 있겠다. 즉 웹 상에서 소비자들의 욕구를 만족시킬 수 있는 인터넷 쇼핑몰 디자인에 대한 연구가 미비하다는 데에 그 원인이 있을 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 쇼핑몰이 성공하기 위한 조건으로 $\ulcorner$마케팅전략과 밀접하게 결합된 디자인이 성공적인 디자인이 될 수 있다$\lrcorner$ 라는 전제하에 소비자 구매의사결정에 디자인 요소 및 그 밖의 어떠한 것이 영향을 미치는지 알아본다. 연구는 세 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 먼저 기존의 문헌 및 연구를 바탕으로 전자상거래와 인터넷마케팅, 디자인 이론 등을 정리 소개하였다. 그리고 두 번째는, 이러한 이론적 배경을 기반으로 웹 상에서 효과적인 마케팅활동이 가능한 체계적인 쇼핑몰 디자이닝 제언을 위한 연구 설계를 한다. 연구 모형은 크게 네 가지 즉, 일반적 특성, 디자인 요소에 관한 세부사항, 디자인 요소를 반영한 사항, 인구통계학적 특성을 기준으로 가설을 설정한 다음, 설문지를 배부하여 얻어진 자료를 분석한다. 마지막으로 그 결과를 토대로 앞에서 제시한 네 가지 기준이 구매의사결정에 미치는 영향과 쇼핑몰에서의 디자인을 마케팅전략으로써 효과를 발휘할 수 있는지의 여부를 검증한다.

  • The design development, and production of a product is one of the greatest challenges which flexible manufacturing systems face today. No matter how a company refines and controls the manufacturing process, if the product is not properly designed, it will not operate correctly or performed well. Therefore the focus on quality of design must be balanced. One such strategy certain to address the managerial and manufacturing of the future is concurrent engineering. Concurrent engineering calls for the consideration and inclusion of product design attributes satisfying all the design constraints such as customer requirements. Furthermore, concurrent engineering has been recently promoted in many industries as a response to competitive marketing pressures. Viewed as a systematic approach of creating high quality products and bringing them to market at lower cost and in significantly less time, it also attracts the attention of quality designers. In this paperm a methodology and model for optimizing the product design, especially selection of optimal design alternative, is developed. The focus of this paper is on product design as the most critical activity of concurrent engineering. The model is based on the customer requirements for quality. Customer requirements for a certain product can be grouped based on the various design attributes. The design attributes have the priorities. The number of design functions. Design attributes value are calculated, however these values are applied to the optimization method. Numerical example will be illustrated.

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm Customer Voluntary Performance as a new strategy that contributes to Service Quality and maintains customer Relationship, and to understand how Service Quality and Relationship Benefits on Customer Voluntary Performance. To pursue the above purposes, the experimental model showing the working process was designed like this: Service quality - Relationship Benefits - Customer Satisfaction - Relationship Quality - Customer Voluntary Performance. To accomplish the experimental study, questionnaire method was chosen and targeted women living seoul. 721 questionnaires were used in last analysis. SPSS 8.0 was used in analysis of data. The results show that (1)Customer satisfaction was affected by Service Quality and Relationship Benefits affirmatively; (2)Relationship Quality was affected by Customer Satisfaction, Service Quality, Relationship Benefit; (3)Customer Voluntary Performance was affected by Relationship Quality and Customer Satisfaction; (4)Service Quality and Relationship Benefits influenced on Customer Voluntary Performance. This study has a important meaning that it provides marketing strategy on satisfied relationship maintenance and customer satisfaction creation.
