Standard weather data available to greenhouse environmental design are limited in most regions of the country. So, instead of using standard weather data, in order to find the method to build design weather data for greenhouse heating and cooling, design outdoor weather conditions were analyzed and compared by TAC method and frequency analysis using climatological normal and thirty years from 1981 to 2010 hourly weather data provided by KMA and standard weather data provided by KSES. Average TAC values of outdoor temperature, relative humidity and insolation using thirty years hourly weather data showed a good agreement with them using standard weather data. Therefore, in regions which are not available standard weather data, we suggest that design outdoor weather conditions should be analyzed using thirty years hourly weather data. Average of TAC values derived from every year hourly weather data during the whole period can be established as environmental design standards, and also minimum and maximum of them can be used as reference data.

A cross-flow fan which constitutes a fan-duct system with a stabilizer and a scroll-casing is widely used in many air-ventilating and air-conditioning devices. The cross-flow fan system has many design parameters which have crucial influence on the performance and the noise characteristics of the devices, which means many difficulties during the design stage of the devices and the general design guide has not sufficiently established yet. This study presents the experimental results of the parameter investigation of some chosen design parameter values, which are the shapes of the stabilizers, the profiles of the scroll casing part, and the diffusion angles of the flow exit. The results are expressed by the varying performance characteristics with the values of the parameters. They are found to have considerable effects on the system performance and should be considered with care in the design stage. Finally some helpful guides for the design and manufacturing of the cross-flow fan system are proposed.

The fluid flow for a energy transfer is essential for the design and operation of power plants, petrochemical plants and ships including a process. When the operating conditions of a plant are changed or any transitional event occured, the flow controls of a fluid must be performed to follow the new operating state or mitigate the results of a event. Generally these flow controls to accommodate the new operating state of a plant are made by the use of various valves. The refore the design of valves and the related techniques are very important to the system and component designs. However the system and component design are not familiar with the practical theory of the valve since the derivative procedures of the flow equations in a valve are difficult and it is not easy to found the theoretical foundamentals and informations about the design of a valve from the present references. In this study the flow equations applicable to a valve for liquid are theoretically derived in detail. And the definition of valve reynolds number and its boundary values between the tubulent and laminar flow is described compared with the values of a circular pipe flow.

In modern society, designers started feeling moral and social responsibility in the aspect of environment as a position of suggesting something new. Rather than creating another waste to make something innovative, the concept of Upcycling which is about adding design or utilization to the existing recyclable materials to raise their value to products or art works has started settling down. Among them, there have been various researches on the use of offcut waste to be dumped. Such use of waste can be found in Jogakbo (patchwork), one of our traditional boudoir crafts. This could be connected to the concept of the modern Upcycling in the aspect of giving new values to the wasted pieces of fabric through needlework. Therefore, this study suggested Stitch work as new Upcycling furniture by seeking for the common connections between Upcycling and traditional Jogakbo, and then reinterpreting them in the same viewpoint. It was an opportunity not only to rediscover 'the esthetics of waste' by changing the awareness of 'behavior of dumping', but also to reinterpret or reconsider the tradition. Based on this, it is expected to continuously have new attempts to use offcut waste for eco-friendly design in the future, and also to have opportunities to seek for new directions of Upcycling to rediscover new values through the revaluation of valuelessness.

This study aims to discuss sustainable fashion trends and sustainable design directions that fashion companies are practicing with ESG in the post-corona new normal era. As a research method, this study examined sustainable fashion trends and ESG practices through empirical case studies focusing on each fashion brand's website, including previous research and literature research, using materials such as newspapers and magazines. As for ESG practice plans, they were divided into four categories: technology orientation, design orientation, consumption orientation, and social value pursuit orientation. The sustainable fashion trends were also divided into four categories. First, the trend exhibits cyclical sustainability using pro-environmental materials, such as pro-environmental fibers, recycled fibers, biodegradable fibers. Second, high sensitivity and rare value sustainability were shown using reuse and upcycling. Third, consumption-oriented trends were promoted through slow fashion. Fourth, in order to realize eco-friendly sustainable fashion and ESG as practical ways to pursue social values, there is a trend of integrating sustainability through changes in perception considering people, society, and the environment. Beyond spreading concern about value consumption trends and the environment, it presents a direction for future industries concerning core values with social roles, responsibility, and ethical awareness from various perspectives.

The purpose of this study was to estimate the quality if New Town housing environment, and to present the direction of design policy to elevate it. For this study questionnaires were administrated to 272 homemakers living in apartment in Bundang. From 1st of May to 31st of May in 1995. Used statistical method was Frequency. Percentage. Mean, Factor Analysis, Correlation, Multiple Regression. The major finding is as follows : 1) Housing values were classified into five types : convenience, beauty, sociality, education, and economy, Resident ranked first economy among housing values the second is convenience, the third beauty, the forth education, while the most unimportant value is sociality. 2) House satisfaction was classified into four types : house size and plane structure, environment and facilities, interior decoration materials and facilities and building design. Residents were found to show the middle degree satisfaction on their house. 3) Housing complex satisfaction was ciassified four types : community facilities, management stage, neighborhood connection and complex facilities. Resident showed dissatisfaction on their apartment complex relatively. 4) Residents showed dissatisfaction on the interior decoration materials and facilities, local facilities and management attitude relatively.

The purpose of this study was to determine the clothing value, awareness of and concern about clothing's country of origin in Korea and England university women. University women in Korea and England were surveyed to determine the importance attributed to 32 descriptors defining 8 clothing values. Awareness of, and concern about, clothing's country of origin were determined mean-scores, t-test and $x^2$-analyses were done. A different rank order of importance for clothing values exists for both groups. The Korea sample rated aesthetic, economic, theorical, political, exploratory and sensory significantly higher and social, religious significantly lower than England sample. England sample appeared to be more aware, concerned about clothing's country of origin than Korea sample. More Korea women were able to recall country of origin. Over half Korea sample but less than 22% England sample recalled purchasing primarily domestic apparel.

The purpose of this study is to inquire the change of residential value in the phenomena related with apartment living culture for recent 10 years. To investigate the apartment culture and residential values, articles in daily newspapers, which is related to 'apartment,' has been analysed by theme divided into physical, behavioral, valuable aspects. As a result, it han found that there were higher concern about economic value the any other values. Also, some of recent trands was found out in this study, such as, high quality, diversification, identity, healthy life, etc. Here this study is purposed to serve exploring the basis of healthier living culture for the future.

This paper presents the steering control algorithm of a locomotion robot using a quaternion. The locomotion robot is to be moved on an irregular floor that can inevitably result in the errors of both position and orientation. Especially the orientation error should be compensated every work in order to adjust the misaligned values of current orientation to those commanded values. In this paper, we propose a new steering control algorithm between the two values by using a quaternion with spherical cubic interpolation. The proposed algorithm is shown to be effective in terms of vibration when compared to a conventional simple compensation without interpolation, by using $MATLAB^{(R)}$ and $VisualNastran4D^{(R)}$.

In this paper, the thrust force characteristic of SLIM according to the variation of several parameters was calculated from the fundamental equation based on Maxwell' s electromagnetic equation to design the transportation system which is drived by short primary single sided linear induction motor. The transportation system of moving secondary was constructed by the design values calculated on the base of simulated data and this values were compared to experimental values, and also the control method of transportation system was proposed.
