  • Design restructuring improves software quality by reorganizing design elements and reduces maintenance cost. Object-oriented metrics can help to detect design flaws and find transformations to reorganize design elements. Basically, the transformations must preserve the behavior of an initial system. This paper describes a metric based restructuring technique preserving the behavior of object-oriented designs, founded on set theory, and gives its validity by applying the technique to applications written in Java. This paper also compares the technique with a technique using simulated annealing algorithm to show its effectiveness.

  • The need for communication is emphasized in decision making, design methods and processes for the educational environment that contain new curricula and learning methods. In this study, we tried to find the direction and agenda of learner-centered environment restructuring through the 'user-integrated platform' in which various subjects related to school space environment understand each other's position and overcome the barriers and prejudices of each sector. The project was planned in a 'bottom-up process' method that uncovered the singularities of the previous stage and led the main contents of the next stage. The various subjects who participated in the project shared their own experiences and different positions regarding the school space. At the workshop, the topics of the participating teams were divided into two categories. The teams in the category of the 'school culture and space' insisted innovation of 'the school culture' as a premise for the restructuring of the 'school space', and proposed schools with different interpretations of 'authority and rules of school', 'the meaning of learning and play' and 'the main character of school. The teams in the category of the 'school borders and spaces' focused on 'communication' and proposed schools containing 'emotional care of students', 'borders between schools and villages', 'village community schools', and 'interspace and niche time'. After the workshop, we were able to derive the direction and architectural strategy of the school space restructuring by analyzing the works of the participants. Through this study, we confirmed the possibility of translating user's ideas into the professional domain through careful planning, preparation, facilitation, and analysis in Participatory Design.

  • Software architectures can be restructured by modification and replacement during design processes, and appropriate software architectures for developments can be more than one. Therefore, developers are required to specify efficiently the modification elements of architectures, and manage different versions of an architecture designed for various aspects. In this paper, we propose a mechanism that can restructure legacy architecture and a new software architecture designed with reuse of it in integrated form, and define the specification elements and structure of the proposed architecture restructuring specification. It provides the method that can reference and reuse architectures designed with various aspects of developers in architecture design processes.

  • The purpose of this study is restructuring the template to apply the 'Backward design' for Home Economics Instruction. This study reviewed the theory of Wiggins and McTighe, the advocates of backward design, and examined the template for version 2.0 of Wiggins and McTighe (2011). In addition, This study analyzed various previous researches using backward design, and drew implications for template restructuring for applying backward design on Home Economics Instruction. In addition, the validity of the template was verified through facial validity through the expert council. Through this process, the final 5 stages (1. Curriculum Analysis → 2. Instructional Design (Learning Experience Design ↔ Evaluation Design (Performance Task Planning) → 3. Instruction Flow → 4. Class guide for each class → 5. Evaluation record, and feedback)suggested templates for applying backward design. Future research will use the restructured assumptions and templates to develop teaching materials in the Home Economics areas of the 2015 revised curriculum. In future research, field research should be carried out on how the Home Economics instruction with backward design affects learners.

  • Recent commercial systems are too large and too complex to restructure their design by hand without tools and cost too much time and effort. This thesis presents a restructuring approach using cohesion and coupling of classes to change object-oriented designs automatically. The matrix which represents the relation between methods is defined by distance between methods using cohesion and coupling, Class restructuring starts to isolate to dividing class, selects the class to have the lowest cohesion and combines the selected class with the closest class.

  • With the acceptance of western culture, our traditional culture is in the crisis of disappearing. This is especially evident in the clothing and textile field. Therefore it seems essential to apply the traditional Korean aesthetics to our clothing. The purpose of this study is to reconstruct the types of design and analyse the characteristics of patterns expressed in traditional roof-tile. This study attempted to use the roof-tile patterns as motive for all tapestry and fashion design work to realize a creative expression of formative world through on-screen restructuring. The traditional roof-tile patterns were selected for this study because they must be the products created with our ordinary aesthetic values and techniques, and thus may represent our people's unique culture. After all, the expression for a work should be based not on simple representations of a given object but on restructuring of diverse unique forms according to worker's subjective senses. A piece of clothing with the expression of traditional and formative must combine traditional aesthetics of tradition and form. The application of traditional and formative value of Korean pattern in clothing made to be adaptable for wear in our everyday lives. Today there various attempts to combine traditional aesthetics with modem design. Also, the development of unique Korean design aesthetics within the clothing will allow for a distinct elegance that can be recognized by the world know about the Korean culture through the high standards of our clothing.

  • In recent, as rediscovery of the modern value is developed through the support by the government and the reinterpretation of the traditional culture, a Korean-style house(Hanok) also becomes an object of interest. Among these various viewpoints to see the Korean-style house, the necessity of a new spatial design approach to contain the types and functions of the architectural space of the Hanok appropriate to the modern society is raised which is not a passive approach to preserve the existing cultural assets. Out of the methods of the new spatial design of the Hanok which reflect the paradigm of the times, this study has the purpose to make an approach from the viewpoint of 'Restoration design'. As the 21 st century started, the recycle design whose active discussion and performance is made largely by Europe and Japan can be called a design method in the hardware part which enables continuous adaptive use of a building by applying a new use purpose and method to a building which doesn't use the recycle design or has low efficiency. In that meaning, it can be considered to be a very important architectural activity historically, archltecturally and spatially. Based on the methodological characteristics of the recycle design, this study largely divides the types of recycle into coherent recycle and imagery recycle and dedto s detailed methods of space, consinto ion and material and wardrobe used for each case to analyze the methods of concrete recycle design through the methodological analysis of recycle cases of the existing modern buildings. For the objects of recycle cases of the Hanok made recently based on the design methods acquired here, it was examined how the architectural and spatial characteristics of the Hanok can be reconsinto ed through what kinrecycmethods. The approach of the recycle design is considered to be a cornerstone to show a new architectural and spatial value in the viewpoint of the Hanok existence in modern times.
