Design of a Adaptive Controller of Industrial Robot with Eight Joint Based on Digital Signal Processor

  • We propose a new technique to the design and real-time implementation of an adaptive controller for robotic manipulator based on digital signal processors in this paper. The Texas Instruments DSPs(TMS320C80) chips are used in implementing real-time adaptive control algorithms to provide enhanced motion control performance for dual-arm robotic manipulators. In the proposed scheme, adaptation laws are derived from model reference adaptive control principle based on the improved direct Lyapunov method. The proposed adaptive controller consists of an adaptive feed-forward and feedback controller and time-varying auxiliary controller elements. The proposed control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, and suitable for real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require any accurate dynamic modeling, nor values of manipulator parameters and payload. Performance of the proposed adaptive controller is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for a dual arm robot consisting of two 4-d.o.f. robots at the joint space and cartesian space.

  • Recently, various network protocols have been developed to keep step with the rapid growth of Internet users. For the education of students in the computer networks classes, there have been many attempts to allow students experiment routers setting, operations and management of networks by themselves, in addition to the classroom lectures based on textbooks. One of the attempts is to install expensive real router experiment sets in laboratories for students, and one another is using router and network simulators for virtual experiments. This paper presents the design and implementation of NetSim, a scalable, component-based simulator environment for the network experimentation. NetSim expands the existing component-based JavaSim simulation tool for the education purpose, and it allows the design and experiment of various networks and protocols. For the evaluation of NetSim, it is shown that the network design and RIP-based router setting process is possible in NetSim.

  • The procedure of grouping the machines and parts to form cells is called manufacturing cell design. The manufacturing cell design is an important step in the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing systems. For the successful implementation of the manufacturing systems, identification of independent manufacturing cells, i.e., cells where parts are completely processed in the cell and no intercell movements, is necessary in the design phase. In this paper, we developed a mixed integer programming model and genetic algorithm based procedure to solve the independent manufacturing cells design problem considering the alternative process plans and machines duplication. Several manufacturing parameters such as, production volume, machine capacity, processing time, number of cells and cell size, are considered in the process. The model determines the process plan for parts, port families and machine cells simultaneously. The model has been verified with the numerical examples.

  • Developing tailor made Multimedia courseware ensuring effective implementation of instruction strategies is a challenge that manifests in myriad problems of software design and coding. In this paper an attempt has been made to analyse and identify coding and implementation problems, in the backdrop of using two different multimedia software development tools i.e. Visual Basic and Toolbook, which underpin the development and effectiveness of use of multimedia courseware. Solutions to such problems have been discussed in context of Tool book. The examples presented in this paper are based on the experience of designing and implementation of two large scale professional quality Multimedia courseware development projects.

  • In this paper, An efficient circuit design algorithm considering constraint is proposed. The proposed algorithm sets up in time constraint and area constraint, power consumption constraint for a circuit implementation. First, scheduling process for time constraint. Select the FU(Function Unit) which is satisfied with time constraint among the high level synthesis results. Analyze area and power consumption of selected FUs. Constraint set for area and power constraint. Device selection to see to setting condition. Optimization circuit implementation in selected device. The proposed algorithm compared with [7] and [8] algorithm. Therefore the proposed algorithm is proved an efficient algorithm for optimization circuit implementation.

  • Ku-Band주파수 합성기를 PLL과 주파수 체배 방법을 이용하여 설계 및 제작하였다. 안정된 약 1 GHz의 주파수를 합성하기 위해 PLL 회로의 설계 과정 및 동작 특성을 제어이론을 바탕으로 고찰하였다. 안정된 약 1 GHz PLL 회로에 주파수 2 체배기, 주파수 8 체배기를 연결하여 Ku-Band 주파수를 합성하였다. 실험결과를 통하여 Ku-Band 주파수 합성기 설계 방법의 타당성을 확인하였다.

The implementation of the integrated design process in the hole-plan system

  • All current shipyards are using the customized CAD/CAM programs in order to improve the design quality and increase the design efficiency. Even though the data structures for ship design and construction are almost completed, the implementation related to the ship design processes are still in progress so that it has been the main causes of the bottleneck and delay during the middle of design process. In this study, we thought that the hole-plan system would be a good example which is remained to be improved. The people of outfitting division who don't have direct authority to edit the structural panels, should request the hull design division to install the holes for the outfitting equipment. For acceptance, they should calculate the hole position, determine the hole type, and find the intersected contour of panel. After consideration of the hull people, the requested holes are manually installed on the hull structure. As the above, many processes are needed such as communication and discussion between the divisions, drawings for hole-plan, and the consideration for the structural or production compatibility. However this iterative process takes a lot of working time and requires mental pressure to the related people and cross-division conflict. This paper will handle the hole-plan system in detail to automate the series of process and minimize the human efforts and time-consumption.

  • 최근 소프트웨어 아키텍처 설계 시 소프트웨어의 재사용성 및 유지보수 비용의 효율성을 고려한 객체지향 디자인 패턴의 관심이 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 객체지향 디자인 패턴 기반의 도메인 객체 인터페이스를 활용하여 특정 도메인에 해당하는 논문 투고 관리 시스템을 설계하고, 아울러 자바와 XML을 이용하여 구현한 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 GoF 디자인 패턴을 적용하여 하향식과 상향식을 적절히 조합한 시스템 전체 아키텍처를 설계한 후에 상향식으로 각각의 시스템 객체들을 조립하여 구현하는 방식을 적용한다. 또한 본 시스템은 시스템의 데이터 자체에 대해서는 XML을 통해 각종 퍼시스턴스 객체(Persistent Object)의 형태로 변환되도록 하며, 도메인 객체를 클래스로 자동 생성하는 방식을 채택하지 않음으로써 시스템의 복잡성을 최소화한다. 마지막으로 시스템의 구현은 일반 클라이언트/서버 환경에서도 사용 가능하지만, 사용자의 편의성 및 일관성을 고려해 일반 웹브라우저에 내장된 XSLT를 통해 시스템 사용자 GUI를 구현한다.

Multiprotocol Label Switching System을 위한 Label Distribution Protocol 구현 (Implementation of the Label Distribution Protocol for the Multiprotocol Label Switching)

  • 본 논문에서는 Multiprotocol Label Switching 시스템을 위한 Label Distribution Protocol의 설계와 구현에 관해서 서술한다. 먼저 Gigabit Switched Router를 만들기 위해서 필요한 LDP의 구현 시 고려해야 될 사항에 대해 살피고, 상세 설계를 제안한다. 결과로써, IETE 표준에 의거한, LDP를 구현하는 데이터 구조 및 처리 절차들을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 구현 시 Carrier Class Product에 적용하기 위해 고려해야 할 점들을 제시한다. 구현된 프로토콜은 상용망에서 요구되는 IP 라우팅 테이블 항목 개수인 4만개의 엔트리들 수용 요구를 만족시킨다. 또한 본 시스템은 표준 Unix API를 사용하여 구현됨으로써 이식성을 가지고 있다. 이러한 구현 시 고려할 사항들과 표준에 의거하여 구현을 함으로써, 우리는 본 LDP가 표준에 기준한 다른 상용제품과 연동성을 확보할 것을 기대한다. 이 LDP의 프로토타입을 구축하고, 이 구현 결과의 프로세스 대수를 사용한 형식적 명세와 분석 그리고 성능 분석을 함으로써 메커니즘의 타당성을 검증하고있다.
